Wonderfully charming and authentic Viennese restaurant with a very long history and deep roots. Waiter was very polite and friendly. Everything we ordered was excellent and well worth the wait. I had the original Tafelspitz and the whole dish was a great production as well as being very tasty! Be warned, it's a pretty hearty meal! My friends ordered the original schnitzel, ribs and grilled fish and every plate was polished clean. Would definitely recommend! I really enjoyed my meal and the romantic atmosphere in this restaurant. My food was hot and delicious. I had a nice espresso after my meal. The food portions are quite nice as well.

Go back in time. At three pm on a Friday, we had the downstairs to ourselves and liked the classic Austrian food with kind service. Tafelspitz recomemended: it is the Austrian version of pot roast.

Very good service and friendly staff. Don’t eat outside, goes down stairs and see the 1435 aging atmosphere. The food as good as expected and the Schnitzel menu with 3 courses was very good.

Terrible service. Bad food. The waiter ignored us for quite a while, didn’t care to explain the slim wine selection and once we were served didn’t bother checking to see if our food was ok. It was not! The ribs were dried out, cold, tough and mostly inedible. Only when he turned up to clear the plates Is when he asked how it was, and when told it was not good, his response was a dismissive “sorry “. At the cash he demanded a tip and made a big loud issue of it when we declined to leave one. Scary! Nice room. Worst dining experience ever.

Had the soup for starters, Vienna schnitzel for main and the apple strudel for dessert. Food was OK but the service was excellent.

Extremely bad, don't bother coming here. Look at how disgusting this Wiener schnitzel is! The batter in this schnitzel tasted like it has been recycled for many days and the schnitzel in general just tasted bad, I can't believe they actually served food of this standard for €18.50. The potato salad that came with the schnitzel was probably made up of canned food too, it just doesn't taste right. The apple strudel was okay but I'm sure you can get a better one at that price. The environment seems okay, service was okay just that the waiter dressed a bit sloppishly. Seriously just scramble off, they're out to scam tourists.

This restaurant is open for dinner from 6pm to 10pm according to their website. We walked in around 8pm, had to wait for someone to seat us and then the waiter said" the kitchen is closed". Don't know what time they serve dinner if by 8pm the kitchen is closed but I would stay away, plenty of other options in the area.

We entered in the restaurant(2 girls) because we wanted to eat. The waiter when he saw us started to yell at us, instead to say hello and sorry we are fully booked. You should first learn how to speak with people. I cant say anything about the food, but attitude is equal to 0.

Pretty average food. The service was okay but the food was so overpriced and at the end the waiter asked for a tip which was pretty wild. Wouldn't recommend it at all.

Food is normal. Ambience is nice. The service is not that good, the waiter made fun of tourists.

Ridulous. Food is tint, i went for lunch again after. They charge you 2’5€ per person as ‘cover fee’. Wifi doesnt work, you literally are inside an underground bunker. No ventilation, no lights. Worst choice

Do not accept cards despite it is advertised. Be careful for every person 2.5 € for service is put to final price. But schnitzel was ok.

Would not recommend. Food was ok. But the waiter tried to rip us off. We were only saved by having our Viennese friend with us. If you are a foreigner I would not recommend.

Hidden gem - absolutely lovely food and great atmosphere. Yes as in other reviews is a small cover charge but it is independent in a busy area. They are so welcoming and friendly. Such lovely restaurant and beautiful. Potato salad is gorgeous with schnitzel!

The food was incredibly tasty and the Goulash was really the best I’ve ever had! The service was also great and super friendly. We left a good tip since we loved it and we got free drinks as a “thank you”. I can’t wait to go back to Vienna so we can go back there again! I really recommend you to go there and the prices are also very affordable!

Authentic Austrian cuisine on very affordable prices. The service and food were good. Nice atmosphere.

The service was slow but at least they compensated by not charging us the coffee. The Zwiebelrostbraten was just fine. What was totally disappointing were the Bratkartoffeln...those were potato wedges made in the oven. Never Bratkartoffeln.

It’s location is awesome and I was looking for a traditional place to try local cuisine.. The schnitzel had a taste like it was cooked in an over used oil :/ Fries were also soggy.. I liked the liver soup only.. They also asked for a tip kindly (even pricing the mustard and ketchup I asked for fries, as an extra).. Proper tourist trap place..
