Very tasty and delicious food!! Portions are quite big and prices regular. Very nice atmosphere and super friendly waiter. He explained us the whole menu translating with patience all the items in English and making us understand! It's a very good place if you want to have a good dinner and taste the typical and authentic Viennese cousine!!

Must have been an off night tonight - our first in Vienna. We had a mediocre experience with average food although well cooked using seasonal ingredients, eg much wild garlic. We did not feel comfortable and this not helped by the surly, rather rude and unwelcoming owner/manager. But it was packed and clearly much liked by some and living off its reputation - we will not return!

A Gasthaus that has kept the charm of the past. Small ambiance but warm and genuine. Food is simple, but extremely good. The Tapfelspitz (boiled beef and vegetables accompanied with apple radish sauce) is simply gorgeous. Extensive list of wines. Highly recommended

Amazing. Nothing much to say. Local cuisine with local people and local atmosphere. Everybody is nice. Looks like everybody knows everyone. Usual place for perfect dinner with family and friends. Will be coming back here!

One of the best meals I’ve had in Vienna. This restaurant is a hidden gem. The owner very kind and welcoming. I had the blood sausage spring rolls and Ox tail with cheesy bread dumplings. Food was just incredible. The service was also great. If you are looking for amazing Austrian+Viennese cuisine then you must eat here! Pro tip-You must call to make a reservation.

We had a nice, traditional dinner at Gasthaus Grünauer. The food was amazing (the best we had in Vienna) and the restaurant was very cozy and homely. Prices were absolutely fair for what we got. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a traditional Austrian dinner experience.

You can only meet locals in this small gasthaus, and it can only mean one thing: good typical austrian food and small prices. The waiter was very kind and helpfull (the menu is handwritten in german), big up for him. Definitely recommend!

The food prepared at Gasthaus Grünauer belongs to the best I'v eaten during my entire stay in Austria. The rooms are separated into a smoking and non-smoking area which I prefer. A reservation is strongly recommended because the place is full almost every evening. The quality of the dishes totally justifies a slightly higher price tag. If you're in Vienna the Gasthaus Grünauer should be on your list of things to do!

Fantastic place. Very much for locals, and when we were in there - twice - it felt like everyone knew each other. The food was excellent and very Austrian (but not in a touristmenu sort of way), and the owner is a wine buff with an excellent set of wines by the glass or bottle. He speaks excellent English and explained the menu to us, and we let him choose the wine for us. All brilliant, and relatively inexpensive compared with some of the other places we went to in Vienna. I would suggest booking - it was busy.
