We were seated upstairs, and observed a humongous group of tourists being guided downstairs into the basement (Kellergewoelb). Luckily, we already had placed our food orders, which arrived after a reasonable time. The Wiener Schnitzel and pork knuckle (which had a soft skin, not crunchy as we hoped for) we ordered were acceptable, but rather bland. The side dish consisted of pretty much tasteless potatoes. The prices were in the upper middle range. We wouldn't go there again.

The restaurant itself is a really nice place, on two floors, and staff is qualified, but the food let me disappointed. It was included in our Vienna tour, so I really don't know what I ate, because I can't find the dishes on the menu. The rice was tasteless and the boiled chicken wasn't the best, the schnitzel was really good though... But the potatoes smelled so bad I got scared... The apple cake tasted really bad but the chocolate cake was perfect! Maybe the normal menu is better...

Overall a decent restaurant, we found the Tafelspitz to be one of the better ones we had in Vienna. It's a traditional dish of Vienna here was served in a pot and dished at the table. Rest of the food was good but not great. It's also open on Sunday which was good as a lot of restaurants in the area were closed.

Really delicious Austrian typical food. The Wiener schnitzel was the best one we’ve tried in Wien. I also recommend the soup. The ambiance is amazing, great service too. I’d definitely be back.

Snitzell was ok but little bit dry and thin for my taste. My wife hade something forgot what it is but tasted good. Place ok neat. Not bad bet.

The Tafelspitz is made of top quality meat. The resulting soup is full of natural umami flavor. Winerschnitzel is bread crumb did not attach to the meat properly but still crispy and fresh.

Great traditional restaurant just off the beaten path. They had a seasonal menu with chanterelles which was amazing. I just wanted to try all of the dishes. My husband had the kasespatzle and they were also delicious. Definitely worth a visit

Food was good but served cold. Nice experience in Vienna to try the pork schnitzel, wasn’t as crispy as expected.

Food was great, local wine too, but we waited way too long for our deserts, with little explanations from the waitress and no commercial gesture. Apart from that, it was a good experience and the food is surely worth it.

We had a good meal, we don't know enough about Austrian cuisine to be able to judge much, but we liked it. We didn't like the fact that despite having booked and the restaurant not being very full, we were put at a table next to the bar, far from the windows, with no view outside, and with noises from the coffee machine, the lady who dried and put away the cutlery etc...

Food was ok. It was Christmas Eve and they were very busy but food quality was ok. Food was a little warmer than room temperature. Service was good. A bit spacey at times.

The waiter for us was not very nice. When I asked for Goulash, he said that there was no such thing. The food he recommended smelled(some smell of cow). It was true that they sold the Austrian food, but I would not recommend here.

We had to wait one and a half hour for the food to start arriving despite ordering a soup as starter. The food quality is very average and the service is poor. The issue is that the kitcken does follow with the high demand which leads to major delay. Moreover the communication was a real challenge because the waitress doesn't speak English. Not a place I would recommend.
