✓ Great view, from anywhere on the tower. The restaurant and coffee shop rotate, slowly and pleasantly, to enjoy the 360° beauty without leaving your seat. There are open areas, with a metallic mesh for safety (like a cage) to feel the wind at this height ✓ The park around the tower is amazing × 16€ entrance fee × The restaurant needs to be pre-booked even if it's almost empty. The coffee shop is expensive, as one would expect, but they even charge for a glass of tap water. All things considered, the waiting staff could act a bit more professional

This was one of the highlights of the Vienna trip. The entry is free if you have the Vienna pass or you get a discount with the city card. The tower will be closed till the end of March for maintenance. We were lucky to get in on the last day they were open. The views are amazing. You pretty much see all of Vienna from up top. You can also see a TV tower on one of the hills which can be seen from the UFO tower in Bratislava. You’ll need a reservation for the restaurant at the top of the tower. The cafe however did have tables for walk ins when we went there. Something their website does not advertise is that the cafe ROTATES 360 DEGREES which we were surprised to find out. The cafe does food and drinks. Would recommend to add this tower to your list of places to see in Vienna and experience the cafe as well.

This place is located on the other side of Danube. From this tower you can have the beautiful view of Vienna. To view the beautiful Vienna from this tower you have to pay 18 Euros and unfortunately the view is limited. This tower has a restaurant and you have to book in advance. Best part is the lift, its quite fast and took 35 seconds to reach 150 Mts. You can take photo copy by paying 8 euros.

I have visited this tower multiple times. I really enjoy being here. The ticket is not very costly. Location is great and easily reachable by public transport. You cannot get a better view of the city anywhere else. There's no need to book the tickets in advance. You get them easily there. The staff is very efficient and quick. The restaurant at the top is always busy. I would recommend to reserve a table beforehand.

Great tourist attraction! You have a 360 degrees view on Vienna! Very nice to see at night as well! Don’t forget to take the 5 euros pass for the slide which is a magnificent experience!!

Had a great time with a great view and a lovely restaurant on the top were you can get a drink and snack (very nice revolving view ) please go on the out side that slides down the building it’s only 5E and you get a photograph. Only reason for 4 stars is that it is a trek from the city centre (I would recommend getting Vienna passes as this gets you free entrance and hop on bus that drops you outside).

Great experience while in Vienna. There is also a restaurant up in the sky but consistent prices. The restaurant is spinning so you can see the view of Vienna while drinking coffee or eating. The elevator is euro 16 for adult and euro 9 for children. A site you should not miss.

I went to visit the Danube Tower, because I heard that is the tallest structure in Austria, measuring 252 meters. I paid for an access ticket, after wich i climbe in 35 seconds with a very fast elevator on the panoramic terrace, where i had the most beautiful view over Vienna. It was very cold upstairs, so I couldn't take too many pictures. In any case, the view was superb!

I was a little hesitant because of the price tag attached to a simple elevator ride, but it was absolutely worth it for a one-time experience. we came in the evening to watch the sunset and were delighted to find both the observation platform and the café mostly deserted. it's a gorgeous view of the entire city and beyond that you shouldn't miss out on while visiting. I would highly recommend having a drink at the café too while you're at it- it's open until 8:30pm and slowly rotates to give you a 365° view while enjoying a glass of wine or two. (their cake is no good but you're there for the view anyway, right?)

Amazing experience! The view of 360• a breathtaking; either lunch or dinner was fabulous. To get in, it won't cost you much. I went here on the day of my reservation and came in early to explore the tower. Also, check out their cafe; delicious and has lots of choices. Staffs were tremendously helpful and provided excellent customer service.

Second highest building in Vienna and Austria. We visited the rotating restaurant at 170m height. The prices are relatively high, but the view is exclusive, and the rotation adds another cherry on top. The direct sunlight spoiled a few photos, but in general it was unique experience.

Best place to visit if you want to see Vienna at its finest. The cafe on top actually rotates around the tower! The park around the tower is beautiful and a very relaxing place. You must visit this location to complete your trip in Vienna and it is easily accessible by the metro line.

A must visit for all who haven't. Offers 360 panoramic view of Venna from a modest height of 252 meters. Last lift upwards is till 11pm & downwards is at 11:15 pm. Stay as long as the last lift hasn't gone down if you wish. And also visit the revolving restaurant above the viewing gallery.

Very interesting place in very nice part of Vienna. Stranded by very large and nice park. Around many new big building and expense homes. Entrance IS BELOW 20 euro but still not cheap. There are two very fast elevators .on top you have open observatory next is something like caffe and last is restauran but it was closed. Prices in cafeteria are not very big. Any way you can spend quality around 30 to 45 minute upstairs. In basement you have also big souvenir shop with big variety of souvenirs. For me was nice experience.

It’s a bit of walk from any subway/tram line, however the mere height entices you from a long distance. I took a combination of alpine zoo and danube tower, however you can get some discount with Vienna card too. Coming to the experience, it’s pretty mind-blowing. The view from the top encompassing 360 degrees is magnificent and the restaurant is pretty good too with great service. The restaurant rotates(very slowly though but tangible)so you can get an encompassing view. There is a photo booth too where you can choose the background and take a cool photo shelling out around 8 euros.

Nice experience But too EXPENSIVE entry fees in my opinion Could be more simple price and fees for this I had a local drink in their resturant was fine but the waiter tried to make fun of me as i asked if they have “ Non alcoholic” options for drink He kept judging me by saying “ no haram , haram , haram” as if he is funny and trying to make jokes of my religion and judging! Although i don’t drink for social & health reasons private personal reasons and has nothing to do with my religious believes ! But i found it so rude of him and embarrassed me Moreover , he asked if i want my drink small or large size cup i said small enough , he kept trying to push me to take the. Bigger size and kept repeating no big money difference! Who brought money talks?!!! I did not even ask how much the difference will be! They can be better overall in resturant But the tower is nice and good experience to be honest The lift/elevator guy was so nice and respectful chatting and welcoming people nicely Very quick lift and good experience overall

Beautiful experience, Venice looked amazing from up. We visit when was dark, so the view was really beautiful. Only one thing that I don't like, the ticket was 18€, found this expensive compared with other towers from Europe ( Rotterdam, Dusseldorf etc )

This place is 1.5km distance from train station(U1), and there is no alternative method but walking or taking taxi, which costs 19.5euros. Walking 1.5km is mostly park paths, not on main roads. The staff at the cafe and the tower lifts are friendly. The cafe and the observation stand were not busy. The ticket is 18 euros.

We went there to see the city and we weren't disappointed! The view was excellent, especially since the platform turns 360°. It was a lovely surprise. It cost us 18 euros just for the ticket. Inside, there are also two restaurants( one on top and the other at the base of the building). We tried the one on top, and the tea and coffee were decent. The cake, however, was super dry. The service is really good, though. We also used the slide, which was super super fun. You have to separately pay for it.

The Danube Tower is a fantastic destination with breathtaking views and beautiful gardens. The landscape surrounding the tower is simply stunning, creating a picturesque setting. I was captivated by the well-maintained gardens, adding to the overall charm of the place. However, it’s worth noting that the bus service to the tower is less frequent. Instead of waiting, consider taking a leisurely walk to the nearest train station. This not only lets you enjoy the scenic surroundings but also provides a convenient alternative to waiting for the bus. The Danube Tower and its lovely landscape make for a memorable experience, even with the occasional transportation considerations.

Worth paying a visit. Nice view form the top. I suggest sliding down the slide as we did. Super fun! Props to the builders. Also i love the discount you get with the vienna yearly public transport ticket And the fact that the roof of the elevator is see through. Looks sick and you really see how they build it.

Interesting modern tower for telecommunications and has a viewing deck and restaurant. The park surrounding the tower is relaxing and great escape for the crowds. The admission was pricy so I didn’t go up. Enjoy!

Top 3 from my city break visit in this city. You got good food, nice view. Btw, the restaurant at the top is rotating. If you can reach at sunset or even at night it's just amazing. Don't be scared at night that the nearby park is kinda dark.

Danube Tower is an Iconic Tower with an observation terrace. It was opened in 1964. It is the tallest structure in Austria, standing at 252 metres. There is a restaurant at top as well, and a cafe also. The views from the observation deck are just spectacular. We visited at sunset time so it was amazing to see the city. Strong winds alert as it's very cold at the top.

Great place to visit, especially in the evening when you get to see the city lights. The ticket for entrance is included in the Vienna pass. The lift takes you up to around 150 meters to a viewing platform. There is a very good rotating cafe just above the viewing platform, followed by a restaurant further above. I was told we need reservations for the restaurant but the cafe was good and we had dinner there. Wear some warm clothes if going to the viewing area in winter or at night - it gets very windy.

Fantastic view of Vienna. Photos really can't do it justice. The Café on the top is revolving, and the service is great. The food was also tasty and some of the best value in Vienna. I'd definitely go there again, and it's worth the trek to the other side of Vienna. You can also see the Alps from the top in the distance

(Translated by Google) Excellent Viennese answer to the Tour of Montparnasse in Paris or the View from the Shield in London. The insiders are of a unique cordiality (MERMERTAS at the box office, NINA at the lift, unmatched). With a super-technological design, it has a bar and restaurant, despite the presence of a nice pub contingent on the tower (in case it may happen that it is clogged with reservations). One of the few similar structures to allow, with due precautions to the edges of the terrace, to be able to go out on an uncovered roof and not be limited only to views behind the glass. The view is worthy of a metropolis, perhaps better than other European skylines. Despite all this, it does not convey the idea of an environment already inflated by the general public. The supersonic elevator pays homage to Tom Cruise in the first Mission Impossible. It can be reached via a path that is not perfectly illuminated by the neighborhood park (problem not attributable to the attraction). It is absolutely worth the ticket price.

Do not miss the café, the view is beautiful* and the atmosphere is nice on a quiet day. But don't get too attached to the view when you choose your seat as the tower rotates slowly. It's still a nice place to go, even if it's grey and cold outside. *if you have motion sickness, bear in mind that the tower rotates slowly and the bar inside too, but in the opposite direction.

Good view (around 165m), not bad cafe To visit restaurant you may need reservation (specially for sunset time)

To be honest the bad critic is for the cafe. The view was amazing. A little expensive, but let's say was worth it. The cafe was the worst. In another review a customer tell us her experience which I witnessed and was the following: "The tower view is beautiful, you can see the whole town and is open air, which is lovely. That's the only good thing about the tower and for that l would give 5* but the experience in the coffee lounge was terrible. If you are English speaking don't bother come there. The waiter mixed up our order, and after 20 minutes wait l ended up without eating. However they offered to provide me my food but once again my food didn't arrived so l asked for my bill because there was just a waste of my time. Also, they don't provide napkins and if you ask they don't understand anyway so my friend had to wipe her mouth with hand eventually. Horrible service overall" She was absolutely right. And also our table had not better service. We asked to eat in cafe (because in the restaurant you should have a reservation) and they did not speak good english. They were polite, but at first we thought that we could not eat there, although in the catalog had food. Moreover, we ordered a sachertorte and a hot chocolate, but again was a missunderstanding and they came without whipecream. In the end, we paid 40 euro for a bad experience. Only the view was good.

Wonderful 360° view of Vienna city. There is an outside deck and also an inside deck for viewing. It has a cafe and restaurant with a rotating deck that gives you panoramic view while sitting at the table. Too bad the inside deck was reserved on my visit, because of a private party. The inside has glass walls and are perfect for clear pictures. I recommend anyone visiting Vienna to experience the view from up there.

Nice views and revolving café. Price is reasonable compared to other towers in the world, but the iron bars protecting people form jumping make it difficult to take nice pictures.

Went to Tower as part of guided tour. We had Sachertorte and coffee in garden at base of tower first. Sachertorte very rich. Coffee was lovely. Went into tower and into attendant controlled lift. Lift took all of 40seconds to reach the observation deck. Thankfully this felt very safe and sturdy as I don't like heights! The photos are of our ship 'The Spirit of the Danube' and one of the man-made island park constructed from earth displaced when digging the latest (1977-1988) channel to stop flooding.

You cannot get better views to Danube in Vienna. The tower is high and on clear day you can the whole city of Vienna and of course a large part of the river. The best time to arrive is just before the sun is going to set. You can admire the views as the colours are changing as the sun light decreases and the city lights are on. It worth staying there an hour. Of course best views are when the skies are clear.

Danube tower has 4 floors accessible for public: restaurant, cafe and observation deck (one floor indoor and one outdoor kind of terrace). Its second highest building in Austria and it is close enough to center so you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view. The whole cafe floor is rotating (and 2x full rotation in an hour) so no matter what table you will choose - you can observe the whole city.

Amazing view of Vienna from this tower! These pictures are from a couple years ago when I visited Austria for the first time. We did not do any research prior to this trip but happened to stumble upon this structure while touring the area. Absolutely worth the visit!

Easy to access via ubahn. U1 line goes there and then you walk like 10 minutes to reach. Next to it is a green area and a park. If you want to see the see city via far and top, go there. I always like to see cities from high above. The elevator is fun to climb as it is fast. We have not waited at all. I guess no need to book from earlier. Enjoy

Great view of Vienna, highly recommend! Wasn’t crowded when I went, and I was able to get a student discount. Bought my tickets inside and was at the deck within five minutes!

Lovely view of the city. For me the Turn cafe was not the best experience. The ideia itself is great, but I got VERY DIZZY with the whole thing turning. But that's on me, I guess. People seemed to enjoy it. Staff was great all around. I'd advise not to go outside during winter since the view from the inside the glass area is better and not as cold

Great experience with amazing 360 views of Vienna. The spinning cafe and restaurant are nice but have little variety. Overall, 5 stars though.

Great experience, highly recommend to visit before sun set to watch the sun set amazing view. Tickets are kinda expensive if you are going with your family but it’s totally worth it.. We sat in the coffee shop and enjoyed the view with a cup of coffee

It gave us wonderful views over the city and we enjoyed refreshing drinks and apple strudel in the cafe. Unfortunately the revolve mechanism had developed a fault so we didn't benefit from that feature.

Everyone should come here because there is a wonderful night view here. Sure, it is inconvenient because it is a bit far from the city central, and the night view of the central is not strictly visible. However, you will be reminded that Austria is surprisingly urban, and above all, the restaurant there is perfect for a date. But entrance fee is little expensive.

The view is beautiful especially at night but the tower hasn't been rotating in a long time and don't know if it will rotate for the price you pay.. Also there is glass all around and even on the tracce there is metal bars with very little space between them which even damages the view and the viewer looking at it comparing with the London sky garden which is free and has a much better view with no impediments. Would come back for a special ocassion only but rpuce high just for a glimpse of a view.

I like the view from here. What is amazing here is that you can go on a slide at 160 m. I believe is good to mention that the online ticket is available for 1 year.

  • 5/5 Mihai S. 4 months ago on Google
For me it is one of the most beautiful attractions of the city, it is really worth it, an unforgettable view. Before going to the restaurant in the tower you must also try the slide which offers a very cool feeling, the restaurant serves an incredibly tasty strudel, the prices are normal, I will definitely go every time I arrive in Vienna.

The Danube Tower in Vienna is a must-visit attraction for anyone traveling to the city. Standing at 252 meters tall, the tower offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city and the surrounding area. I was in awe of the stunning vistas from the observation deck, where I could see the Danube River winding its way through the city, as well as iconic landmarks such as St. Stephen's Cathedral and the Vienna Woods in the distance. The tower also features a rotating restaurant, where I enjoyed a delicious meal while taking in the views as the restaurant slowly revolved. The food was excellent and the service was top-notch, making for a truly memorable dining experience. Overall, the Danube Tower is a must-visit attraction in Vienna. Whether you're interested in taking in the views, enjoying a meal with a view, or simply experiencing a piece of the city's skyline, the tower is sure to impress. I would highly recommend a visit to anyone traveling to Vienna.
