My clothes were stolen during the stay and i received 0 empathy from the personal. During my last day in the hostel i realised my locker had been forced open and found my clothes and other objects scattered around the locker. When i checked to see what was missing the objects stolen included several shirts, almost all my trousers, a souvenir and a towel. Luckily, I didn't leave any money there. When i told the receptionist about this and asked to leave my stuff in the luggage room whilst I went to enjoy my last day in Vienna, his only response was to try and sell me a new lock for 5€. After a whole day of sightseeing I wanted to shower, so i came down to the reception a second time to ask for a towel, since mine was stolen (there was a different man this time) he attended whilst answering the phone, and the only solution he offered was selling me a towel for 7€. Both responses were done in the most dry and rude way, sharing no sympathy towards me or my situation. Having said all this i want to make clear that I'm not blaming the hostel for the theft. The only motive of this review is to criticise the lack of manners, empathy and problem-solving proven by the staff. Its a shame that a Hostel with so many good points in other aspects loses all of its positives due to such a bad experience with the receptionists.

Cheap and great if you're traveling with a couple of friends. The hostel itself is composed of two buildings, one has a reception and breakfast area, but I was staying in another building it's a few minutes of walk just around the corner. (note the wi-fi connection is different between buildings !) The rooms themselves were ok, nothing fancy but have everything your need. There is both a private shower and toilet in each room. There are closets to lock your stuff, make sure to bring your own lock as these are not included, but you can buy them at reception. Good Breakfast was a pleasant surprise, I think the variety of available options was quite good, considering it was included in the price! Staff was friendly and wi-fi connection was good enough most of the time. There are some rooms where you can chill, I saw some people playing pool together. Not so good Location is not the best for sightseeing, but if you're using public transport there are few connection options to take. The beds were a typical bunk beds. I was on the 2nd level. Sheets were provided but it's quite s challenge to put them on. The reading light over my bed didn't work. Towels and soaps are not provided, you can buy or rent these at reception. Noise insulation wasn't the best, some girl started a conversation about 2 AM in the morning waking me up. Then at 5 AM another group of guys started a very loud conversation until someone shouted at them, so they stopped and went away. Temperature was also quite an issue as it gets a bit hot over night, and there are no options to cool yourself.

An amazing breakfast but they should buy better pillows. Another problem is the smell on the toilets, but for the price it’s a really nice place.

Well it's cleaned but you can't use kitchen for cooking, you share bathroom with 4 rooms (and i can't remember that i knew it before i had booked my room), they lock up garden at 23h so you are supposed to smoke outside in the street...Breakfast is not bad.

A large hostel in two buildings, second one round the corner. Good, secure rooms with en suite bathroom and toilet ( don't worry if the toilet light does not go off, it is automatic. Worst experence ever! Never recommend it. When we arrived to get the keys they gave us keys for a room in a different bulding which was around 100 m away from the building that includes the reception. We were unhappy about that room, it was not clean and the smell of the toilet was unbearable, we went back to the reception, complained about that and asked them to put us in another room. There was a young lady at the reception, very reluctant to listen to us or to put any effort, immediately told us that is what we have, if you dont like it I give you your money back and go away!! Very disrespectful, inconsiderate and rather rude. People book places in advance because it is hard to book on the day of arrival, yet we took our money back and left. Only for around 12 € extra than the price of their hostel, we booked a hotel very close to them! So, it is a real waste of money to stay at this hostel.

The hostel was clean, and located very centrally - super convenient to get into the city. Main issue being no forewarning this is an alcohol free hostel, which would have been nice to know beforehand. Breakfast was excellent.

Our room was offsite, just down the road. The hostel did look a bit like a hospital ward with eerie corridors. Not the best social vibe as well. However AMAZING continental breakfast included with literally everything. Very nice location next to lots of bars/cafes and not far from central Vienna. Very very good value for money!

This hostel is affordable and cozy. Rooms are very clean, staff is helpful and the 24 hour reception is very convenient. The included breakfast was a steal for the price, I would definitely recommend staying here if you are on a budget. My only complaint is that there were only 2 outlets in the room, each bed had usb outlets, but unfortunately most of us have usbc plugs now 😥. So i would recommend if possible bringing a usb compatible charging cable.

They moved me to another building one block away. Rooms have no ventilation and they charge you a fan even in summer! Staff is limited so reception tends to be crowded. They said they have a socket near the bed, but it's only a USB port with a really slow charge. Breakfast is good but not any check that you belong to the Hostel. So if you decide not to stay, maybe enter confident enough and you'll have free breakfast. My recommendation, stay here if you want to save money and for one or maybe two nights. If you want to be comfortable, avoid this place.

After reading multiple horrible reviews I was terrified but I have to say that it wasn’t AS bad as described. I stayed one night in a female dormitory. On the positive side: the location is good, near places to visit and lots of shops. There’s also a simple breakfast (ok for vegetarians but not ideal for vegans). Yet we also have a negative side. The bathroom stinks, padlocks are not guaranteed (I recommend buying your own for ~3€ outside of the hostel WITH A KEY), there’s quite a lot of dust and door handles or light switches work poorly.

Price, breakfast, and location is the only reason for 2 stars. Before booking take this into consideration there are no towels, no shower gel in bathroom. Bathroom has black mould on ceiling. You have to put your own sheets on duvet, pillow and mattress (at least you know they are clean). Pillows have barely any stuffing in them. Hallways are very loud with school groups (you can hear everything). A cleaner just walked into myself and my partners room and we were to stay 3 nights, found that really weird, we could have been getting dressed, asleep or showering - this was at half 10 in the morning. You can buy or rent towel, shower wash and you can get a hair dryer at reception. Vienna is an amazing city though so If we are to go back unfortunately we won’t be booking here. If you don’t have issues with any of these and maybe are only staying a night I would say you would be fine.

We loved staying here. For the price it is perfect. You get a good buffet breakfast, with lots of options! My group had all made separate reservations, when we got there they made it work so that we would get our own room. It was very helpful and nice of them. The staff was phenomenal. Even at midnight the receptionist was more than happy to help with all of our necessities even though there were a lot of people there checking in. He was very happy and ready to help. Highly recommend this place!! :)

I was very excited to give this hostel a 5 star review. Staff was kind and friendly. Food and the available services were fantastic and at times unexpectedly wonderful. However, on my last night here I poured myself a bottle of water from the sink, drank it completely, refilled the bottle a 2nd time to save some water for later. Upon refilling it the second time, I discovered the water was a bright orange color. I took a second bottle and filled it again with the dirty water. I took my findings to the front desk waiting to be sure someone looked into it. I didn’t feel it was appropriate to announce to each guest checking in that the water was unsafe to drink. The clerk was dismissive and asked me to just tell him my problem in front of everyone. But it s also open to groups, sometimes very noisy and annoying and no one said a word to them even if they were so loud it was impossible not to hear them. Looked more like an hotel for student classes. Luckily this was just on day time, but still... Anyway in general, pretty good hostel.

The doors to the rooms are locked with electric keys (at least my room was). Also important to note is that you may have to stay in their secondary building down the road (which looks like a hospital converted into a hostel). In the secondary building there is only in the common area. Lunch and supper are also available for €7.50 I believe. Didn't try these for myself. Rooms had storage lockers (at least in my room), but you need to bring your own lock. Staff was friendly and helpful, willing to give directions and sight seeing suggestions. Altough a short summary of the nearly unlimited expressions we encountered is not possible, a  fitting word for our stay would be pure absolutism. The snack machine was whack tho.

The rooms were comfortable. The breakfast was the highlight. The location was good as well. Can highly recommend it.

The night receptionist was rude and didn't want to check me in as I came in at exactly 11 which was changeover time. I felt very annoyed by his attitude. Rooms were very comfortable. The place isn’t bad but the receptionist was very rude, he ended up over charging me $15e because he would not listen to me about me booking online because it was cheaper. I just paid the extra money because I didn’t want to deal with him any more, he has medium length grayish hair. I would have given a one star but the receptionist during checkout was very nice and let me check out a little late. I honestly didn’t feel bad checking out an hour late knowing I over laid $15e. During our stay it felt like we are in the children summer camp. There were some teens who were running and knocking the doors till 2 am. As well when we arrived one of our beds was not cleaned (at 3 am). So we needed walk to reception, get clean linens and make the bed, which was annoying for other people in the room.

Planning to jump into bed once you arrive? No. You will have to put your own sheets on. Want to do laundry? It’ll be 10€, and you’re not allowed to hand-wash your clothes in your room. Thankfully they have lockers, but the ensuite is not really an ensuite. It has a shower and sink but no toilet! Also, no bath mat, no paper towel and no soap in room!

Honestly only stay here if you’re skint on money. Its literally like living in a hospital ward and very depressing. The ‘kitchen’ is a kettle and microwave and the ‘social area’ has about as much life as a sloth on sleeping pills.

Beautiful building with nice staff. Unfortunately, the roos doesn't have toilet so sometimes it's not clean enough. Also, You should bring locker with you. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast is great. Garden is beautiful. The location is in the center of Vienna and many of historical places are really near to the hostel. I definitely recommend this hostel.

The rooms were clean and well thought out, you have to put on the sheets on your own and take them off when checking out so thats a little downside. The staff was very friendly and good at their job. There is an open yard where you can eat shown in the photo, very cute. The location is good, not close to the center but public transportation is near. Had a good nights sleep and a hearty breakfast for a really good price, i would reccomend it, especially for students.

The room was too cold ,but anyway the reason why I am giving one star is the moment in wich i Check in,a blond girl ( receptionist) gave me a paper wich I had to fill it in ,without explaining what I should do with it ,I do understand very well english actually but I was really tired and I was a bit confused then she asked me ( in a rude way as I was a trouble for her being there) what language do u speak ? Best hostel! I arrived on New Year’s Eve and they did not hike up prices like all other places. They were very affordable, clean and best part they extended breakfast hours on New Year’s Day till 12.30 pm ! So everybody were able to get breakfast and sleep late that day. Also they added more items to their breakfast menu that day. I think it was the best choice of hostel in Vienna. Highly recommend

Good price-location hotel. I was disappointed about the beds since we got bunk bed but we did not sleep in the upper one because there was almost no protection from falling off. So we did not sleep v comfortable.

I stayed in a female dormitory. It was nice and comfortable. Breakfast was included and it was so nice with so many varieties. Worth the value!

This hostel is cheap, centrally located and has a complimentary all you can eat breakfast served in the morning before 9:45. The beds are relatively comfortable, and the rooms are nice, though some of the usb sockets didn't work and there weren't enough outlets for the whole group to charge their phones in at once. We had some minor complications with our booking, which were eventually rectified in an untimely manner but resulted in my group of six being placed at random in other rooms for the first night of our stay.

1. Requested that our group check in before 1pm- totally unreasonable time, when was the last time anywhere wanted a group to check in *before* 1pm?? 2. Despite us sending an email informing them that we would be arriving later (no response btw), they still overbooked the hostel. 3. Eventually they managed to find us beds, except we were all split up- totally contrary to what we had booked. Poor all round- better options elsewhere I am sure. 4. Our room isn’t in the “hostel”. It’s around the corner of the street outside, and through what on the surface appears to be an underground car park. 5. The gift that just keeps on giving- toilets not in the room, but on the corridor. Midway through use of the toilet, the light cut out. For no reason at all. Electricity was fine, but the toilet light just cut out randomly. 6. Pillows are terrible, look filthy as well.

First i got confirmation that they will give me check in 1-2 hrs before time but after arrival, they clearly denied. Giving 2 stars because of the price with breakfast which was really nice. Bathroom didnt have soap and toilet didnt have paper...also the person on r ception was really silly and slow

Frankly, an excellent deal fpr the price. A decent youth hostel with 24h reception (not the nicest guys ever, but Ok) , very clean rooms (I really missed more sockets and closer to the beds) and very solid breakfast included in the price, which makes a real difference and gives the chance to socislize with roomies. Overall, I am pretty satisfied.

the location was okay, there were a bunch of supermarkets around, shared toilets are clean. staff was NOT welcoming and friendly, the smell in the whole building is bad, but in the bedroom it's even worse, really smelled like pee and even when opening the windows the smell would stay. the bathroom also smelled bad and was dirty. the pillows were really bad, if there was no pillows it would have just been the exact same.
