This is an authentic German establishment. The food is very German. My wife loves this place mostly because of the Chicken Cordon Blue! I am big fan of the German Larger on tap and the Don Juan coffee. I am not a big fan of the food but that is because I am not big on German food. If you are, you will like the food. The place is a pretty dated for my taste, definitely not a contemporary atmosphere. The service is very good and the restaurant is well managed. When you see management on the floor you know they are putting more effort into customer service. Reservations would be easier if they would get on Open Table. Overall its a place I definitely recommend especially for adults. I give it four stars because its dated for my taste and I am not a big fan of German food. I recommend you try it and see how you like it. If you are from out of town its a unique experience not you regular national chain experience.

What an experience! Great, knowledge service. The server helped with food recommendations, especially for gluten-free food. They are busy so definitely make a reservation. We lucked out because we went early. There's outdoor seating. Get the mousse, you'll thank me later.

Great to find another local restaurant run by the owners. Came here tonight for my birthday dinner Man. What a great place. Great decor friendly staff. All dressed with Austrian Bavarian clothing. With a live music from a gentleman playing in accordion, playing polkas music and lots of others. Great songs and also we played happy birthday for me. So we all had a little something different. I had a German sampler platter with Pork schnitzel two different type sausages and potato pancakes was red cabbage. It's very good. Sausages just melted your mouth. And the sausages looked and tasted homemade. One of our group had Oso Bucco and it was fall off the bone. One has chicken sensible and she really enjoyed that. And my wife had Jager Bratton which was wonderful. I even got the taste hers. It was great. Or dessert. We had apple strudel which came out hot with cold ice cream on top. And I was lucky that I had a candle on mine and everybody's saying happy birthday. So this place is the real German deal. When in town you need to stop by.

Everything we had was so delicious! The wait staff were very attentive. They had their own gluten free menu, which is rare! So good.

We stopped in here for dinner one night before heading to the Boardwalk. It was boiling hot outside, but the restaurant was very comfortable inside. Very nice decor throughout the restaurant. Friendly staff and clean. There is indoor seating and a small patio outside. I would not suggest sitting on the patio during the summer months. The food tasted amazing. Authentic to German-Austrian cuisine. The schnitzel was fried perfectly, and had lots of flavor. The gravy on top had a rich mushroom flavor. The spaetzle was freshly home made. The sweetness of the red cabbage complemented the savory noodles and meat. Would definitely return next time I’m in Myrtle Beach. Five stars!

This was an amazing experience! The waitress was very friendly and attentive. They gave appetizer salads and a lot of bread too. We all enjoyed our entrees especially the sauerkraut!! In addition to the food, they had a live entertainer playing polka music on the accordion. The main demographic in the restaurant was not young people, but if you’re in college and reading this get a great dinner with live music!!!

Always excellent Austrian food The bread is perfection, hot crispy outside soft tender inside. We're tried all the offerings... delicious! Nellie at the bar is outstanding and fast! We had the pork cordon blue and sausage sampler. It could not have been better. The dessert offerings are perfection... leave room for dessert! Live music too, it's no wonder reservations are needed.

We went here twice on our trip to South Carolina. We sat inside the first time when it was rainy and outside the second. Both times we had great service and the atmosphere was good both inside and out. I try to visit German restaurants everywhere I go and I frequent the ones near me. Prices here were decent and the portions were a good size. The meals weren't the best I've had compared to other German restaurants, but everything was hot, fresh and tasted fine. The German chocolate cake was excellent, I recommend getting a slice of one of their cakes to go if you don't have the room for it there. Overall a good stop if you like German food or for a good German beer at a great price.

Serge was an awesome waiter from Serbia. The food was excellent as always and still takes me back to my time overseas. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in town.

First time visitors to Cafe and we were so happy! We reserved our tables in advance, I suggest you do the same, very busy in this local restaurant. My husband has a love of German food and this is authentic as it gets! We went during Oktoberfest and shared the 2 person platter. Plenty of sausage and sides for us both. I loved the potato dumplings with gravy (which is Austrian, just like the owner) and the cabbage sides were perfect. I really enjoyed my cup of goulash prior to the meal, very flavorful and spiced perfectly. The dinner came with complimentary salad with house dressing and breads. My husband enjoyed his liter of German beer with his meal! We got our desserts to go-as we were to full after the meal.

Never been to an authentic German place to eat. It was date night. I had the stuffed cabbage and it was delicious it had a beautiful sauce on it that was so yummy. My wife had spaetzle and she absolutely loved it. She's German and she said the place was really great. I also ordered the beer flights and tried six different types of beer four of them especially the hefeweizen was fantastic. We topped it off with a shared piece of black forest cake which was to die for. We were welcomed quickly the service was fantastic super-friendly very helpful. Just a wonderful place to eat thank you so much

Incredible food and great service with a massive menu of German favorites! We were actually on our way to another restaurant when someone in the car spotted this place off to the side and we made a U-turn looking for some good German beer and food. Food was delicious and portion sizes were fairly large. Had a great time trying a bit of everyone's dish, checking out the sampler paddle for the beer, and of course indulging in the Black Forest cake. Angel was our server and took great care of us. Highly suggest checking this place out if you enjoy German food, good beer, and amazing desserts! Will certainly be going back next time we are in Myrtle Beach!

Amazing amazing amazing!! There’s not many places that you can get true German-Austrian food! We drove for a weekend all the way from Charleston to here just for this restaurant. We are foodies and we have everything in Charleston but we don’t have this and we wanted to try it! It was a great decision! The food was amazing and the streusel is to DIE FOR!!! We got some more to-go to take with us! My one recommendation is to PLEASE make a reservation! They are BUSY and I see why! And we went during the offseason in November!

Absolutely best most authentic Germany food I’ve eaten since living in Germany. Decorations for Christmas authentic as well as the live accordion music.

Visited for the first time a couple weeks ago. Food and service was excellent. Atmosphere is laid back casual. Only negative is I wish they had more variety/selection of German beers. Got to have Spaten, Weihenstephaner, or Warsteiner on tap or in bottles.

A true German experience! The brats were delicious along with the sour kraut. The beer sampler paddle is a great deal for trying all the German beers on tap. This place is a very nice authentic German experience!

This German Restaurant was just fabulous! We enjoyed potato pancakes for an appetizer, my husband had 3 different sausages, I had the stuffed cabbage, and my dauggter had the rootbeer float, big grilled cheese and fries. Kids menu has a lot of options. Our Sides were great, mixed vegetables and noodles. If you order off the dinner menu you also get a nice salad. We enjoyed our beer it was just right. We let the waiter choose it for us. Next time we will try the different samples they offer! Waiter was great, atmosphere was very pretty!

Got a chance to take advantage of Happy Hour, which is 4-7 (bar area and beer garden). We had draft beer sampler paddle, sausage sampler plate (good portion and you get to taste 4 different sausages) and original veal Wiener schnitzel. I also had some kind of Elderflower martini and chocolate martini, I enjoyed both equally. Everything tasted really-really good, we’ll be back for more

I came here October 9 , 2021 and just realized I didn't do a review . Well , I make it to Myrtle Beach about every 2 years from Las Vegas , Nevada . I grew up in the Carolinas and love to come back and visit . I was in the military and was stationed in Germany for 4 years , 1985 to 1989 , so I love a good German Restaurant . I really liked this one and will definitely come back . Good food , good decor , good service , and live music . I had the Farmers Schnitzel which is a Breaded Pork Weiner Schnitzel with brown gravy and a sunny side up egg on top and capers with Spatzle and Red Cabbage . I had a good German Beer , but I can't remember which one I got . The service was very good and they even had an older gentleman playing the accordion on stage , playing tradition German Music . The place was decorated like different regions of Germany combined and the feeling of being at Octoberfest . The waitresses and waiters were dressed in traditional festival clothing which was a nice touch . They even had a beer garden outside celebrating Octoberfest . I would highly recommend coming here and having good food and a good time .

My family wanted to try German cuisine and this place had good reviews so we have it a chance and I'm so happy we did! The staff was amazing, the food was great, the atmosphere was wonderful! We ate outside, had drinks, and had the Creme Brule Cheesecake for dessert. Everything was delicious and we will definitely be going again.

Stopped here Wed Oct 8th at 6pm. Place was very busy with many patrons having reservations. We did not have a reservation but got seated quickly. Food was excellent! Our server was extremely busy but attentive. Save room for dessert.

Check operation times on line and call ahead with your reservation. They have a popular happy hour 4- 7 with a variety of domestic and imported beers with a fun snack/munchies menu. From sausage bites to schnitzel bites. Dinner menu was difficult to choose as everything sounded so yummy. Schnitzel, so many different ways, sausages many kinds with sides of your choosing. There are also entres that have all your choices made for you in perfect combinations. Leave a little room for dessert. We ordered the streusel. Apples, raisins and cinnamon wrapped in a full dough. We sat ouside, under a canopy but the place to be was inside! Our waitress, very pleasant, forgot about us a couple of times. She was too occupied inside, I guess. Food is authentic and delicious. Lecker!

I've got three words for this place "amazing, amazing, amazing" The Cafe Old Vienna checked all the boxes, food was excellent, plating superior, quality, quantity and originality beyond compare. Our server was Angel, her named matched her personality perfectly. She was welcoming and made our visit all the more memorable. We started with a perogie appetizer cooked perfectly covered with smoked bacon, delicious sauteed onions & a side of sour cream. We enjoyed two entrees the wienerschnitzel and stuffed cabbage both of which took me back to my days in Landstuhl Germany. We closed out our meal by splitting a slice of decadent German chocolate cake surrounded by pickled fruit, fresh cream & drizzled with chocolate.... it was as good as you would expect to follow such a culinary experience. Don't forget for your entertainment they have authentic accordion bands every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. Did I mention the beer, no I didn't but I will tell you they have a variety of beer flights and original German beer flavors for you to try. If you have the opportunity while you're visiting Myrtle Beach.......please I implore you to stop at this wonderfully old world style restaurant.
