The House of Industry was built from 1906 to 1909 according to the plans of the architect Karl König and was inaugurated by Emperor Franz Joseph on March 5, 1911. With interruptions during the years when it served the Allied Council, the House of Industry has remained the headquarters of the Association of Austrian Industrialists to this day. It also has a comprehensive technical infrastructure that blends seamlessly with its historic surroundings thus being one of the best event locations in Vienna.

Headquarters of the industrial association. Wilhelminian style office building with several beautiful halls. Very representative and well maintained. Admission by invitation or at events. Schwarzenbergplatz offers a beautiful, structurally closed ensemble from the Wilhelminian era.

Terrible experience. We bought tickets for December 24. When we went, it turned out that the person we bought them from had booked for 25 and in the end they didn't refund us for the consumption, which was before the concert and for the ruined Christmas. Completely un-European attitude and behavior.

A historic place, with the paternoster in operation since 1910, beautiful. Seat of the Allied military administration in the 1940s and 1950s. And the place where the Austrian State Treaty was negotiated.

The Christmas concert here is something I’ll never forget. And the setting is intimate; I estimate there’s time for only 150 people. The acoustics are sublime.

I attended a concert of the Royal Orchestra at the House of Industry. The is building very beautiful, but the concert is beyond any expectations in a very good way. You cannot count your visit to Vienna without attending this amazing concert. I remembered myself smiling and enjoying the music till the last minute and wishing it never ends.

I attended a concert of the Royal Orchestra at the House of Industry. The old building with its unique interior, nice evening with enjoyable music 🤍

Beautiful place, but I was very irritated at being forced to surrender my coat to the wardrobe - for a fee, payable in cash only. I feel that, if they are going to make me spend money on a service I don’t even want, they should at least give me alternative methods of paying

Had the pleasure of attending a concert of the Royal Viennese Orchestra here. The concert was perfect, the building exquisite, and the staff kind and helpful. Highly recommend.

We watched a beautiful orchestra of classical music - all the most famous - and a Hungarian dance and the Waltz. The music was moving! Highly recommended

Lovely venue and the performance was fabulous. The experience was however spoiled by inappropriate behaviour of other attendees (being loud, taking photos, even though not allowed, inappropriate dress code). I felt really sorry for all the staff and musicians they had to deal with this kind of behaviour.

We had a problem with the tickets, our seats were double sold. The staff was very rude.

We booked tickets from a sales manager and it turned out that the tickets were for another day. The staff at the Christmas concert were very rude and refused to give us the money back. Instead they offered to put chairs and watch the concert. Finally, they gave us the money but it was a horrible experience for a Christmas eve night.

Thank you for amazing night! It was stunning. Be sure that I will remember Vienna because of you and your famous orhestra. Her majesty Soprano and THE dancers were like a cherry on top. 🤗

Lovely experience! Great Classic orchestra music performance (Mozart, Vivaldi, J Strauss etc) in a beautiful hall with good acoustic that made our evening 🤩Tickets were bought just on the street near the Cathedral.

The Vienna Opera House was closed that day! But surely when you are in Vienna you are in the heart of the biggest and greatest opera city of the world and everywhere you go in Vienna you are in the city of music where you still can hear and feel pieces of Mozart, Strauss and Beethoven. It was an unforgettable evening.

The worse experience ever! Although the orchestra tried their best, the staff was extremely rude. We were threatened by them, they changed us places without reason, we were abused and criticised about our nationality(ridiculed because we come from greece). I believed that the staff was illegally working at the premises. At the same time we had to pay an extra euro without receipt for letting our coat in the cloakroom! I believe that the tax office must check them, since we had to pay for beverages without receipts again. I would not recommend it, as there are more decent places in vienna to enjoy an opera evening and better value for money and be respected as a guest and a customer. The ticket also was not worth that kind of money. No respect and unfortunately we ended up disappointed by the attitude of these people. We left with a bad taste in our mouths. Not recommended at all .
