Very nice and big park huge grounds just I don't understand why it's not free entrance but it's not expansive and lots of things to do with a playground for kids and a boat rental and a ice cream shop if you want to visit the castle check the times of the tours in advance

Peaceful place with exquisite Franz Kaiser's Castle, well worth visiting. Entrance is 3€ per person and parking 🅿️ place is free. Who likes espresso, don't drink it, it's bad. Otherwise, everything is like a fairy tail

We visited the castle and garden at the beginning of our journey to Vienna at the end of December. It was cold, but we walked with great interest and looked at the large property and the interesting things on it. Nice.

Very beautiful and fantastic park! A lot of space for each visitor! Just one thing was scared us, when was started some show with the military people - they was shoot in the air! 0_0 it was a very horrible for people who was running from the war in Ukraine!

Big, clean park. Rather many branches to have a rest. You also can have small picnic on the bank of the lake. Entrance fee can be paid by card. But inside the park only cash. There is one food corner near the lake. WC is also there. Very cool playground. The boat also can be rented additionally. For the electric boat (up to 6 persons) you leave 30 euros deposit and 14 euro for 30 min ride. When you give the the boat back, they also give back a deposit

Amazing park! So big and nice. The entrance fee 3.00€. Dogs are also allowed. You can walk there the whole day and enjoy the nature, rent a small boat and make a round around the Castle. There are few places to eat but better bring some blanket and do a picnic there.☺️

What a wonderful Park! Entry fee is affordable, pet friendly. Would highly recommend bringing a blanket and your own food and drinks for a picnic at the lake. The electric boats allow you to quietly explore the channels around the park.

Single, couple, family with kids or no kids, young, old, dog owner or horse owner - whichever you are, probably this is one of the best places you can visit in Austria. Very nice and kind staff, unlimited green, best place for relaxing walks or have a picnic. Strongly recommended!

There is a 2.80 euros entrance fee for an adult, a reduced one for kids between 6 and 18. It is for free for the youngest ones. The park is great - pretty and very well maintained. It is perfect for walks and picnic. There is a children's playground. One can also rent a boat. There is both a cafe and a restaurant. Wonderful place, highly recommend it.

Architecture is really kitschy, but as park and "Erholungsgebiet" I found it perfect. Lots of places to walk, jog, read a book, swim, walk with a dog, some playgrounds and restaurant made my day. Would recommend for those who want to take active break from office! Cheers for 25k steps this day 😅

Very nice nature views and old architecture and buildings. Very family and kids friendly place to spend time on the weekend, I assume you can go there any time of the year. You can rent a small boat to explore the lake over there, we were there during summer and we were really happy to do that. Not sure how it would be in winter but would like to find out if we can in the future. I would recommend you drive by car from Vienna. But the public transport is also reachable but you need to spend more time on go and back to the bus station.

Beautiful castle and lake, nice park. The museum was interesting, it can be visited with a german guided tour only but there are audioguides on several languages, Hungarian is very funny. There is a small restaurant with good food and there are small buffets as well (hot dog, french fries, drinks).

Worth for the price, 3€! The castle is nice, there is a fine restaurant on the terrace. It’s really friendly for the kids. There are awesome events for kids. You can rent an e-boat for 19€ per hour. There are 2 stands with food.

Beautiful park that you can explore for a very long time. You can rent boats or just walk along the pathway and explore. During the week there are not so many people there. But you have to pay an entrance fee.

Beautiful park great for kids and adults. There's a playground, (overpriced) food, great open space for playing and a cool castle. Afterwards a nice spot to get food is the local ice cream restaurant. Definitely would recommend!

A beautiful, large expanse of curated grounds and historical structures well worth a visit. Pack a snack and some drink with you and enjoy a day of nature and views. There are plenty of printed narratives describing history. Depending on the season and day of the week there may be a snack bar or restaurant open.

Wonderful escape from the city chaos. Very peaceful and huge. We were on a working day, so it was quite quiet before the bus with tourists came. However, even then there are lots of hidden places for you to just be alone in the nature. We haven't done much like boat or horse ride. We just walked, had a picnic and enjoyed the time together with my little one. The parking is free which is awesome. And there are free public toilets. The entrance fee was 3 Euro per adult. There is also a big playground for kids which we tried to avoid since we wouldn't have been able to leave it ))) We are definitely coming back.

This is a wonderful place to just chill, loads of open area, loads of trees, lots of benches to just sit on. You can get a beer and some basic food in summer. Renting a boat and doing a couple of hours pottering around is awesome. In winter it is cold, windy and equally enjoyable. One of the nicest places I have found in the Vienna area.

  • 5/5 David l. 4 years ago on Google
Especially beautiful in autumn! For those who like to go for a walk and/or go boating, it's really great! For example, we had a picnic in the meadow:) Unfortunately, we didn't make the castle this time, but of course next time.

Laxenburg is a typical little town outside of Vienna. For the lovers of silence, calm, open sky, slow walks, this is paradise. Laxenburg park is where all this is concentrated. The park was the former garden of the Laxenburg castle for the Hapsburgs, but garden is too short a concept for the place. It is also not a forest, but more of a landscaped natural region, with the right touch of planned walks, viewing spots and sculptures plus managed nature, quietness and some places for reflection and good pictures. There is a family of deer living inside as well as some big bird species.

You dreamed to enter a fairy tale? Just visit the Laxenburg area! There's everything you may need: large grass areas, long promenades, lake, castles Roman ruins, boats, train... Place to enjoy all day long and only a couple minutes away from Vienna. Amazing place where you'll rest your soul and you'll keep comming back. Entrance costs almost nothing, massive parkings are free of charge, restrooms are available. A snack bar is a part of the areal. I simply can't dedcribe how delighted I am.

Illumina was, again, an amazing experience. Our Kids loved it and the Light show and compositions were stunning. Although it was quite wet, the road were stroller friendly.

Visited Illumina – magischer Lichtergarten with friends. Wonderful experience for Winter season, many wonderful concepts and a large enough area to allow creativity and perfect combination between light and music. You should not miss "be Happy" area. You can enjoy a punch or a hot wine, admire lights dancing with friends and children and have a good outdoor walk.

Ne-a plăcut foarte mult locul. Recomand. Peisaje frumoase, oameni ok.

The park it's really nice, just about an hour away from Vienna (with the public transport). Plan at least 3 hours for this park, there is a lot to see. However, some of the 'buildings' (eg der Turnierplatz, die Grotte) were closed, maybe they were under construction.

Netter Ausflugsort.

What a calming place it is..!! Just half an hour drive from vienna, you end up in this mesmerising medieval castle which is equipped with all modern facilities. I will highly recommend this place for families. Enterance is around 2.80 euros per person and then you have rent boat or get a small your train There is a musuem inside the castle which is also worth visiting

Really nice place to visit for a walk and bit more. You have to pay for entering the park but it's definitely worth it. It's clean, nice looking park with plenty of different routes to walk. There are few historical buildings around, few places where you can buy some snack or even rent a boat. It can get bit overcrowded in certain hours and if you are going by car might be harder to park but you can get there from by public transport from main train station without any hustle...

A big and spacious park with a big castle and a lake tou can rent a bot for. There are some shops in the park and a large playground as well. Recommended if you like nature and an easy stroll through many of the paths. Even if the park seems crowded in entrance people disperse through the wast park.

  • 3/5 Dimitrios V. 4 years ago on Google
Great place but making you pay for the park visit when there are venues inside that "sell" a lot of services made me feel a bit exploited. Especially when locals do not pay at all. Don't be such a miserable money hunter. There are lots of other nice places people can go.
