French fine dining in quiet area in Vientiane. Unique building, pretty shops inside and modern ambiance. Enjoyed all chef's courses but limited wine list. Well trained staff and nice owner:)

Fine dining atmosphere. 😀 Ordered homemade spaghetti and a cheese burger on the lunch menu, and these were ok. Warm bread & butter as an appetizer was really nice! The coffee also tasted good. The lunch menu here varies from week to week. The waitstaff were very welcoming and attentive. It's definitely worth a try. 😘

Wow, such wonderful time. If you want to relax and stay naive while spending dinner, this place is really nice. You can feel the European touch and so comfy to stay. The foods are nice, quick service and friendly staff. Try this place for a nice ambiance.

When you want to experience high level dining in Vientiene, Laos, this is the right place!!! After eating mostly SE asian food for 3 weeks in Thailand and Laos, we were desperate for good old western food (or french in this case). What We missed most was a clean atmosphere without dust and flies hovering over our food. Also, being charged extra for water at other restaraunts is common practice. Not a big deal as we'd rather not accept city or villagw water. At Metisse, our still water was complimentary as in other restaraunts back in the USA. The table setting was setup nicely with proper flatware and glassware (again as expected but rare in Laos). We were provided complimentary bread and a rice crispy type appetizer. Our meal consisted of a green salad, broiled chicken leg, broiled pork chop, seafood taigeles (sp?). All were full of flavor and blew me away. I was not expecting the flavor to be correct as other places we dined at were let downs...(think burger and fries and ketchup...avoid!!!) Also, I ordered a Vesper Martini and was also impressed. It was a little less volume than what im used to getting but the drink was indeed mixed properly to deliver the correct flavor. Again, these are basic expectations that i have for places in the USA but for Laos, its rare. So if you are looking for high end dining done right, go to Metisse! I should also add our host was able to call for a taxi for us at a reasonable rate 94K kip. Upon getting to our hotel, driver only asked for 56K kip. We gave him 100K instead.

Fantastic fine foods with great taste, very fair price and amazing pro staff which you won’t find it anywhere in whole Laos. We went there for lunch and we truly enjoyed the atmosphere and the fine lunch. The owner, Thierry is such a humble and experienced one who doesn’t hesitate to go an step forward to make you feel home while at his restaurant. Bikers, like me, this is a place to be.

Absolute great dine in experience. Amazingly fair priced for an upscale restaurant. Staff very well attending to your needs. Plating, cleanliness and service well deserved 5 stars.

Had a pretty nice brunch this Sunday , In a great restaurants near the town, service girl super kind , food as an awesome taste , not so expensive as well , well-prepared dishes, with beautiful table decoration, dishes prepared with love and tasty, I try that orange iced americano for the first time , I didn't expect that, it's very good thanks bartender for your suggest

Feel like I am in the good resort and having a decent foods. Good vibe and good interior. The service was nice, gentle and fast. The food is a bit pricy but the lunch set menu is a reasonable price and highly recommended.

Before we ordered our food, a waitress asked us if we wanted plain water or sparkling water. So I thought it was just water provided. And I said sparkling water. And it was charged 62,000 kip later. Usually, when the waitress takes a food order, she also takes a drink order. But if she tells guests to choose between the two as soon as they sit down, someone might misunderstand. bread, butter..starter were delicious, but the main menu, pasta, was tasteless.

Excellent fine dining menu at reasonable prices. Look out for weekday lunch specials on FB.

Beautiful restaurant, lovely balcony and great food. Prices are high for Vientiane, but quality is high too. Staff are lovely and very well trained, but maybe just a bit *too* well trained? It was a quiet night and I felt like a team of waiters was monitoring the level of my water glass at all times.

Excellent lamb chops, good sized portion. Salad with salmon also very tasty. But the fruity meringue dessert was unbelievably good!

Truly authentic French cuisine with an excellent wine selection. We enjoyed a wonderful and welcoming evening at Metisse. Strongly recommended!
