Room is very clean and nicely decorated. The downtown view of Luangphabang from the room veranda is very nice. Since this hotel is far away from the city for riding the bicycle, it is recommended to rent hotel's scooters or rent motorbikes/cars

Very beautiful, secluded hotel on the outskirts of town. They provide a free shuttle into town or bicycle hire so you don't feel far from the action. Just be warned it's on a hill so there are some steps/ steep hills involved.

I stayed here with my partner for 4 nights, one of these being my birthday. The hotel Is set slightly high up, with spectacular views, the rooms are exactly as you see in the pictures, the pool is great and the breakfast was beyond exceptional. I would like to dedicate some words to the bed! No one seems to mention the bed, this was BY FAR the most comfortable bed we ever slept in, the pillows literally felt like I was in a cloud (this is not a lie) every-time I got into bed I felt like I was ready to fall asleep immediately . To be honest we were sad to leave the bed most days. Staff were great, happy to set up excursions. Plus the shuttle to and from the centre just a phone call away really helped! A great little break in Luang Prabang. Truly wonderful

The small hotel with around 25 rooms is located on a slope just outside the city centre. Due to the construction and the many plants, it is very charming and was certainly something special at one time. The garden area with a pool is pretty. Unfortunately, by today's standards, it is impractical in many respects. The rooms are very gloomy. This is due to the dark wood materials, the dark parquet floor or a dark natural stone wall. The main light switch is not by the bed but by the front door. So if you want everything dark, you have to go to bed in the dark and overcome steps. Maybe it's just defective switches on the bed. Even with full lighting, everything is a bit gloomy. The curtains are so narrow that light always penetrates from outside. This is very annoying in the morning or at night. A lot is already very used. The sockets mostly worn out. The cabinet is leaking and does not close properly, which is why the light inside does not turn off. The bathroom with full bath and sink is open. Next to it is a walled shower room. It is darkly tiled and tiled. It is very impractical that the wooden door reaches to the floor, you cannot step on the mat. There is hardly any space around the sink. Everything falls down. The cleaning takes place very superficially, which you can also see. The internet connection is exorbitantly bad. It keeps breaking off. Hardly any transactions or payments can be completed. This means that bookings take forever and you have to start all over again. Many crashes can even lead to blockages. The daily communication difficulties with the housekeeping staff are nerve-wracking. In any case, very few employees speak fluent English. The food in the restaurant is of medium quality and in a 5-star hotel in Asia it is not usual in terms of taste and appearance. The breakfast is mediocre. The majority of the employees are very friendly and attentive. They are often cheerful and try to please the guests. Of course, everything has its limits under the circumstances. The facility is very good, that a shuttle always takes the guests to and from the city center or to another place in the city. This is a very good facility, although not entirely free of charge, since you pay quite a bit of a tip, which is expected, but is also always addressed indirectly from time to time. This is no drama, but leads to an ongoing bad conscience. So, in short: charming

I stayed in this hotel for 4 days 3 nights. The staff can communicate in English and they have always taken great care of us. The staff tried to help with anything, which we appreciate very much. It's a little difficult because you have to climb a hill to get to the room, but I think it's an arrangement to enjoy the beautiful scenery. It takes about 30 minutes to walk to town, but a shuttle bus takes us to town. The staff know information about many activities and connect them where possible. The breakfast was so good that we didn't miss it and tried it every day. Satisfied.

No respect for customers at all. Booked like a week ago for august they called yesterday saying someone also want me book on the same day as us so they’d like ti switch us to a villa for one night and then move back to the hotel after the one night customers. Mind you we would be staying for like a week. We refused and so they canceled our booking. This is the most dumbest hotel ever

This hotel is amazing! Me and my partner stayed here for 4 nights in early July 2022 and were both SOOO happy with it! It’s located a bit outside of “downtown”, up on a hill, which provides you with amazing mountain views. From the stunning infinity pool (see photos) you look out on Fousi Hill and the mountains across the Mekong river. The hotel is also very green and well-kept, which gives it a fantastic jungle-feel whilst having contemporary furnishings. The breakfast is great and the staff is very service-minded and attentive. Everything tasted good and fresh and the restaurant is contemporary and chic. So is the hotel as a whole, whilst having beautiful, classic laotian touches here and there. The only negative is that the hotel laundry service is insanely expensive ($1-$5/item, depending on the item of clothing!). So as laundry would’ve cost us ~$50 at the hotel, we took our clothes to a hotel downtown and had it all done for only $3! With that said, I need to write this separate paragraph about the rooms and especially the BED!! The rooms are lovely and clean and the bed is absolutely A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! Down pillows and duvet and a mattress that felt like it hugged you; an absolute dream! The rooms also have balconies, which are spacious and nicely furnished. Couldn’t be happier with the rooms and how they were tended to! We stayed in room #1, which had great wifi as it was located near the router, so if this is important to you – request this room! Further, the distance from the hotel to downtown was never a problem as the hotel has a free shuttle service that will take you to and from the hotel and anywhere downtown until 8:30pm! It also took us to and from the airport completely free of charge – so convenient and such a great service! The service overall at the hotel was great, and the front desk staff is generally very helpful.

Beautiful resort style hotel with just 20+ rooms. Location on a hillside gave it a view of Phousi Hill in the distance. Stylish room had a little wear and tear but spacious enough with an outdoor terrace. Housekeeping did a good job meeting our needs. However, both the 2 pillows were too soft, they should provide one that's hard. Breakfast was outstanding in terms of quality and quantity. Part of it was a buffet and you could also order anything from a menu. Had a quiet dinner on the pool deck too. Location and traffic made it a bit difficult to walk or cycle to the sights, so we relied on the complimentary shuttle which ran until approx.8.45pm. Most of the staff were very pleasant and friendly. Extremely good value compared to the over-priced big name resorts and hotels there.

Fantastic Hotel All the staffs are friendly, and the environment is wonderful. I was lucky to be upgraded this time. The room was spacious and very clean. It had a balcony, a working desk(smoking area), and two loungers outside. There were turndown service, and throughout the stay, the staff consistently provided service beyond expectations. The breakfast was delicious, offering a choice between ordering from a menu (you can pick one dish from each four categories), a buffet area, and ordering beverages separately. It was truly amazing, and the staff were thoughtful. There's a small gym on the top of the resort, and it’s more suitable for free weights workouts, although the weight options are a bit limited. But having a place to exercise is still great. The swimming pool is beautiful, and my room was right next to it. I saw many people swimming during the stay. The hotel also offers shuttle services, providing free rides to and from town (although it's not far if you prefer walking, about two kilometers). You can also book airport transfers for $15 per trip. If you want to visit nearby attractions, you can inquire whether the hotel provides transportation, and the costs may need to be confirmed with the hotel. Highly recommended for everyone. This hotel is truly fantastic. I loved everything about it and am grateful for the care provided by the staffs during the stay.

Really loved our stay at Kiridara it was quiet and peaceful and only a short trip to the Old Town with a complimentary shuttle. The staff were always friendly, professional and more than happy to help or accommodate a request. They really made our stay enjoyable. Room was nice, my only request would be a light above the bed suitable for reading and some of the gym equipment needed some maintenance but overall I would highly recommend and we would stay again. Thank you!

Lovely hotel and location with a great driver and front desk staff. The rooms are well designed and very spacious with great views over the city (if you don’t go in burning season 😅). Sadly, had to move rooms due to a mosquito infestation but they were very accommodating. The restaurant’s food is quite basic and service, particularly room service, was not good. Other this, a lovely stay.

A lovely hotel with an invisible pool. Very soft bed, delicious breakfasts and pleasant staff. The rooms have everything you need, and I also liked the layout. Very stylish shower. I recommend you to visit 🥰

Beautiful hotel with incredibly nice and helpful staff. We stayed in the Villa which was nice since it’s closer to most of the temples/restaurants. Highly recommend!

An absolutely fabulous hotel with a great team. Close to the center of LP -easy to reach by bicycle or hotel shuttle- but tranquil and lots of space and views. Perfect breakfast.. highly recommended

Beautiful hotel nearby to airport and city centre. Hotel even provides you with free shuttle to anywhere in the city. Breakfast was nice and the pool has beautiful view overlooking Luang Prabang. Hotel stuff was very attentive and helped us with everything. We loved this hotel and I can only recomend it.

We loved our stay at the Kiridara. Their breakfast is phenomenal and the service is absolutely outstanding. They also have a beautiful pool. Though it's not in the city, they have on-demand shuttles to take you to town whenever you'd like

Highly recommend. Great location, staff are lovely, foods good, pool is fantastic, free lifts into the centre whenever you want, they even took us to the train station on our last day free of charge. I’d say the only downside is the quality of the breakfast but it’s like this is most hotels in Laos so it didn’t really bother us.

We had a great experience. They have friendly and professional staff led by great managers. My partner was unwell. The staff/management were asking for an update every day. This hotel is a bit away from the centre. They have a great free shuttle to the city centre available. Tips : from expedia website, The name of the booking should match the name on the credit card

We enjoyed our stay! Highlights - order what you want breakfast, hilltop location, poolside, free shuttle and super tranquil vibe. Lowlights - room was full of ants, and the room had no view when advertised as "mountain view", no security at the reception we didn't feel safe.

A lovely, unpretentious gem of a hotel in Luang Prabang! We were only here for a couple of nights as part of an extended honeymoon, and they were great from the very beginning! We were upgraded to a beautifully spacious room, the staff were super attentive, and they gave us great recommendations in the local area! We were served nice freshly cooked breakfast every morning as well as a buffet, the hotel has a nice pool with a view, a basic gym and a spa (which was shut on one of the days due to the holiday period). It is also located close to one of the best night markets I’ve been to, and the hotel offers frequent shuttles to the area and back (very handy!). One of my highlights was a visit to a local hairdresser that the hotel recommended - I’ve never had such an in-depth and relaxing head wash before! Would definitely go back :)

Super friendly staff with an amazing restaurant. Comfortable, clean rooms. The hotel is about 15 min walk away from the action in town but they offer a free shuttle. Highly recommend!

My favourite hotel in Luang Prabang! The location is nice with a lovely view on the town and not too far to walk into town but there is also a complementary shuttle service that takes you into town and will pick you up. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and clean and the bed really is the most comfortable bed I've ever had! The facilities are well maintained and clean and simply beautiful with flowers and trees everywhere and a lovely pool that was empty most of the time and thus super quiet. The staff are all very friendly and helpful - I will definitely be going back!

A place with great potential but not well maintained. The room was not clean enough and the breakfast was very average. In addition, the hotel is far from the center so we took a motorcycle, there is a very sharp and slippery slope there and unfortunately we slipped there.

Stayed here for one night as an extension of our trip and glad that we did! The staff is incredibly nice, helpful and welcoming. The rooms are huge and the pool is perfect, with amazing views of Luang Prabang. Though, I want to highlight how the hotel staff really went above and beyond to help me with my accident. I fell off a moped during the day and my knee/ankle strained. The next day, Chami (sp?) and the rest of the staff took great care of my friends and I as they delivered food to our room, arranged a van service to the hospital and ensured that I was comfortable while recuperating. Needless to say, the experience of as exceptional and I highly recommend staying at the Kiridara! Plus, the breakfast is AMAZING!

It is a good hotel, but the standard rooms need restoration. We got, at first a room in the right upside part (17 if not mistaking) - viewing nothing - and the wifi simply didn't work. There were choice of soluble coffee and tea. They prepared a cute honeymoon decoration, witch I found very nice from the hotel. Since my husband had to work a bit, wi-fi was a must. They upgraded us on the next day to a room that was a bit nearest to the lobby, and had a better wi-fi signal. The room was just facing the swimming pool, with a beautiful view. Now this room I recommend! Beautiful, spacious, Nespresso machine, great balcony facing pool and city! Room 22, go for it! The only thing to keep in mind is that it is possible for the people passing in front of the pool area can see inside the room if curtains are open, but for us it didn't bother, because not so many people keep walking around. Breakfast was average and well assorted, but lacks home made breads or pastries, offering industrialized options instead. To compensate, there is a menu with a good number of options that can be cooked on demand (eggs, waffles, pancakes, rices, noodles, etc. ). Staff is very good and attentive. If you need help with tours or arranging an itinerary, they happily help! Shuttle service (airport and city) is a plus. It made the difference for us. There is also bicycles available for riding around the city!

Super hospitable, and it's really a gorgeous hotel. They will give you free rides, information, help book tickets, spa, restaurant, and more The only downside I had is that the toilets randomly gurgle water, even in the middle of the night. I think that's a plumbing issue in all of Luang Prabang though so can't blame them for that

Nice location. Away from busy street in the city but there is shuttle bus service, so not a problem if you wanna go walk around town. The room is nice and clean even though the stuff looks quite old. The chef's table restaurant is the best. The food is delicious. There are both western and Laos selections for breakfast. All the staff of this hotel are very nice and provide a great service. We will definitely go back there.

We've just has a very pleasant stay in this hotel. Felt like home. It's a rather small size hotel. About 25 bedrooms I believe. We had rooms by the pool which was very convenient as the kids could easily go back and forth. The staff is very nice. Always very helpful. You have a shuttle bus taking you in town and back. The room with two beds was perfect for a family of four with 2 young children. The spa was really good!

Good hotel option in Luang Prabang. My wife and I stayed here in January 2020. The property is beautiful and well maintained. Rooms are well appointed and modern. Shower worked well and was very warm. Restaurant was great for lunch and dinner. Only reason this is not a 5 star property is because gym is too small and outdated and service was good, but not five star quality. Another odd item is they charge for ice to be delivered to your room. Overall a solid option and we would stay here again.

The hotel itself is nice with a beautiful view along the pool, it’s pretty far from the city and shuttle van was limited. Unfortunately, the service was very poor, staff was not polite and neither has a service mind

Second time here. Its super classy and has all you need if you want a high class escape. I came here to work in quiet and relax by the pool . Great staff.
