It
was
recommended
to
me
by
one
of
the
concierge
team
(Ian)
at
the
Grand
in
York.
First
time
staying
over
in
York,
I
had
no
idea
where
was
good
for
breakfasts
so
Ian
mentioned
for
my
friend
and
I
to
try
a
place
called
Partisan.
Only
a
short
walk
from
the
hotel,
it’s
situated
on
Micklegate.
The
outside
reminded
me
of
a
small
Parisian
cafe,
very
rustic
and
quirky
looking,
which
I
loved.
Busy
on
the
ground
floor
but
we
were
told
of
seating
in
the
basement.
Although
the
stairs
aren’t
steep
heading
down,
definitely
take
care
if
you’re
not
good
on
your
legs.
Lovely
ambience
in
this
place,
staff
were
attentive
but
not
overly
(👌🏻).
After
choosing
our
food,
we
didn’t
have
long
to
wait
for
it
to
arrive.
Piping
hot
breakfast
cooked
in
a
skillet.
I
loved
the
taste
of
the
food
and
would’ve
had
more
if
I
could.
Good
selection
of
choices
to
choose
from
and
food
was
nicely
prepared
and
well
cooked.
We
were
served
by
Ellis
(at
least
it
sounded
like
her
name),
great
attitude
and
really
fun
and
chatty
with
us.
Great
customer
service
👌🏻👌🏻
Would
I
recommend
this
place
to
others?
Yes,
in
a
heartbeat.
Will
definitely
be
going
back
again
on
my
next
visit.
