Stayed here for two nights and we had a lovely stay. We booked the chalet and it had a cozy, rustic design and was very spacious. Due to the time of year we came (early December) it was rather chilly and we were worried it would be cold in the evenings. But between the heating pad on the mattress and the thick blanket, we were nice and warm while sleeping. The bathroom was clean and tidy and the shower had hot water (just give it 10-15 mins to warm up). They also have a restaurant, which has a wide selection of food and beverages. Everything we ate tasted delicious- especially the eggplant vegetable dish. The food was fairly priced, especially considering how generous the portions were. Rose and Rex are the owners and they are such kind and thoughtful people. They went above and beyond by helping arrange our taxi there/back (and checking in to make sure we made our bus after our taxi was late), gave us travel suggestions for the rest of our Vietnam trip, and even surprised us for our honeymoon. While the weather wasn't the best when we visited, our stay at the Plum Eco House was well worth the visit! Plus, they have the most adorable puppies.

I loved being at the plum house. The bungalow was clean, nicely decorated, the view was great, & I slept well. The fans kept me cool, as there is no A/C. The views on short walks around the area were phenomenal. The meals were delicious, as were the virgin drinks I had. One of the better meals I’ve had in my time in Vietnam. The family was wonderful. From laughing together to enjoying time with their fun kid to helping me coordinate plans, I had an A+ stay. They were kind & made my stay pleasant & tranquil. This was a wonderful end to my time in Vietnam, and I hope to return to spend time here again in future visits to Vietnam.

We had an incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating stay at the Plum Eco House hosted by Rose and Rex. The homestay's stunning and authentic beauty, paired with the delicious food and breathtaking views from our bungalow, made it a unforgettable experience. The hospitality we received was beyond amazing. We could not recommend it more, and cannot wait to go back ourselves!

Excellent Homestay - Highly Recommended!!! Stayed here for two nights. Great and cozy homestay. Rex and Rose are the owner, wonderful host that really go out their way to make sure your stay is perfect. The rooms are fantastic - clean and have amazing views. The view was scenic! We loved our stay at Plum Ecohouse. Rose and Rex are amazing hosts and incredibly friendly, they immediately make you feel at home. Rose’s cooking is incredible, the most delicious food we have had so far in Vietnam. Rex took us on an incredible scooter tour and they also arranged a wonderful hike for us with their local guide Mimi. The bungalows are beautiful and very comfortable. I could not recommend this place more, highlight of our trip in Vietnam so far!!!

Can’t understand the rating. Food was like from mediocre bistro in Europe. Chicken on lemongrass = chicken pieces on raw vegetable without any taste. Vietnamese baguette = toast covered in mayonnaise. Stir fried mushroom = mushroom from can mixed with vegetable with unrecognizable origin. Well. Sadly had to leave the food on the table. Reply to your reply: Thank you for your response. I just want to add a few things. a) Sandwich was labeled banh mi. Therefore I was expecting baguette and not soft white toast with “mayonnaise”. b) Chicken on lemongrass should contain mainly chicken and lemongrass. Not chicken with pieces of pepper, tomato and no lemongrass. c) I was not talking about prices. Your prices were normal compared to any other restaurant in Sa Pa or Ta Van. I was talking about quality of food. I love Vietnamese cuisine and the food you served did not taste as if I am in Vietnam. 5 stars persuaded us to visit your restaurant and I think that rating should reflect the reality. Despite any justification the food was not well prepared. I hope this will change and future reviews will reflect that.

I have nothing but good things to say about Plum House Restaurant, in my opinion it is one of the best i have visited in vietnam and definitely one for a visit if you are in Ta Van village! They have a really big menu with both local and western dishes all really well priced and the portion sizes are huge! The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming and the food was just outstanding, every dish we ate there was better than the last. We have eaten here every day of our stay the food is so good. In addition to the amazing menu and lovely staff, the view of the rice paddies is just breathtaking! The perfect place for a great meal, great service and the perfect view and vibes! Thank you Rex and Rose and staff!

Plum Eco House is a wonderful little spot, away from the hustle and bustle of Sapa town. They have rooms and bungalows available for staying. (The bungalows are near the main building set in between the rice paddies and have an amazing view.🤩) Food and drinks are delicious! (The spicy eggplant and fried noodles with beef are a must try.) Rose and Rex are truly the greatest hosts!☺️ Thank you for your hospitality 🙏

The house is very cozy and beautiful. The food is fantastic, breakfast included. Rose and Rex are amazing, they help with everything from planning a trip to booking a taxi or bus. You can pay everything with Revolut :) Thanks a lot for this beautiful stay!

We love staying here. Rose and her husband (Rex..I believe) was the great hose. Great view, local Vibe, great food, good room. Highly recommended. Whisky their dog is also adorable.

Amazing 3 days here. Great views and location. Food was really tasty. Rose and Rex are very helpful, nice and accommodating. They helped us plan everything there. Of our entire North Vietnam trip this was the most memorable stay. Will surely come back in winters. PS. if you like dogs, you must come here.

The best homestay experience of my life!! This place is absolutely magical. It gave me such joy and comfort to stay here for 3 nights. I wish we could have stayed longer! The mountain views are spectacular, the food is fresh and so freaking delicious, the vibes are right. I’m so happy we decided to stay in this village and especially this homestay. Rose made sure we were taken care of and the service was exceptional. I adored our little bungalow and spent hours on the terrace journaling and gazing at the views! The brick and wood are gorgeous and it felt so so cozy. I completely unwinded here after crazy days in the city! It’s a perfect starting point for many hikes (me and my boyfriend did them on our own and it was super manageable). The hikes were awesome! Most people pass by here to get to the hikes anyway. I want to take a second to mention the drinks (lime juice, apple mojito, iced tea). They were SO fresh and delicious, I kept ordering them for every meal because I couldn’t help myself haha. Plus the healthy breakfast was sooo freaking fresh and delicious too. Can’t say enough great things about this place! Every little detail was perfection. You can tell how much love is poured into this space, and I’m so grateful I got to experience this! Don’t hesitate to book here!! *Try the spicy eggplant, tofu stuffed w mushrooms, and the healthy breakfast and you won’t be disappointed!

I had and Amazing stay at Plum Eco House in April of this year. They were about to change location and at no moment did it disturbed my sleep. Plus their new location will be so nice with one of the prettiest view of Ta Van. They do family dinner night when there’s enough gues interested, but otherwise their food is amazing and at a decent price. And don’t forget Rex’s amazing cocktail! They can recommand great hikes for you to do or day tour. Rose told me to do one of my favorite hike i’ve done in Vietnam all together! I can’t recommend a better place for peaceful and resourceful time!

Located in the beautiful village Ta van away from the hustle and bustle of touristic Sapa is welcomed by Rose and Rex who take you into their accommodation with a lot of warmth. The food they serve us amazing with options of western and local Vietnamese food. The spring rolls are worth the mention. The rooms have a great view and feels the owners have put their heart and soul into make them. Highly recommended 👌!!!!!

This is the best place for healing and relaxing. Rose and Rex are so warm and kind. If someone has chance to go Sapa, i will recommend here without any hesitance. Had wonderful food also!

The owners was super nice and helpful, they were available even though we arrived pretty late at night and made sure that by the time we'll arrive the water for the shower will be warm Was a great welcome after long day in the roads! They also have an incredible restaurant!! Portions are huge we couldn't finish the food even though it was amazing! Please order the spicy eggplant! We had. Great time there :)

The standard rooms here are great and have balconies with a view overlooking the valley. Great shower pressure, ample hot water and comfortable beds. Rose and Rex helped us with many things during our stay here, including organising bus tickets and taxis.

Highly recommend Plum Eco House!! We will be sending friends and family here and hoping to return ourselves, next time we’re in Vietnam. The accommodations are comfortable, beautiful, and cozy. (Love the heated blankets in each bed for cozy sleep, resting, or day time relaxing.) The setting is stunning with gorgeous views and is the perfect place to head off on day hikes/walks/treks. We were particularly grateful for the amazing vegan food that was available to enjoy. The portions are big, so come hungry. Everything we tried was freshly prepared and delicious. There are many options for veg food which is a blessing and they were happy to make accommodations for various dishes as requested. There are a huge selection of yummy beverages too. We loved the friendly dogs on the property and our sweet hosts offered such warm, wonderful and generous hospitality. Our favorite homestay experience of our time in Southeast Asia by far. Rex and Rose are great host together with their fury kids, they are very friendly and have everything arrange for us. Very welcoming and make us feels like home. We got upgraded to the Bungalow due to last minute cancellation by other guest. Since it’s new year Eve, they also brought us along to their friend homestay for a countdown party. Truly an eye opening new year experience.

Rex and Rose are the most helpful hosts and my travel companion and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay with them. After having some issues at our initial home stay, Rose was quick to respond with room availabilities, picked us up from our home stay to theirs, and settled us in quickly with no fuss. The home stay is beautifully and thoughtfully decorated and organized and their service is impeccable, even helping us with transport arrangements after we checked out. Highly recommend to anyone considering a stay in Ta Van. Bonus: they have 7 adorable puppies running around to play with.

I didn’t get a chance to stay at Plum Eco House but I am so glad I stumbled into them. Rex and Rose were such a lovely couple. I chanced upon them on the first day and i returned everyday since for the duration of my stay. Rose’s home cooked food is brilliant (make sure to try the eggplant) and chat’s with Rex were full of laughter. I throughly enjoyed my time and I have these two plus their cute kid and dogs to thank for my giving me a memorable stay. They are really helpful with recommendations and will go the extra mile to settle things for you. Will be back one day again but if you have the chance, please pay them a visit. Next time I am staying in their villa too :)

Just checked out from Plum this morning after a 3 nights stay at their bungalow! Our stay was enjoyable and pleasant, and most importantly relaxing. Our kids, 10, 8 and 6 had a great time staying there, spending time with Whisky and Ice Cream was the best thing that they enjoyed most! Rose and Rex was the best host you can expect and they will try their best to provide any services that was requested. Rose serve the best food while Rex always make the perfect beverage. They are definitely the best husband and wife team! For the entire 4 days, we had our breakfast, lunch and dinner at their place. Because everything was so good. Thank you for taking care of us and the kids are pestering us to come back again during the June holiday. We look forward to be back at Ta Van again soon.

A wonderful family welcomed us and it felt like home straight away. The bungalows are gorgeous, simply but beautifully decorated and the views are fantastic. We were able to rent a scooter from them and when we had issues booking the transport for the next leg of our journey they helped us enormously. They also arranged for us a trek through the rice paddies, bamboo forest and waterfall. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend it. Also the iced coffees were amazing and we couldn't get enough of them!
