It is an absolute delight to listen to the owner of the museum, who personally does a very informative tour of the whole place. You can clearly see that he is passionate about what he is talking about. The collection of Tarot cards (as well as other cards, stones, and even amulets) is astonishing and ever-growing. This is truly a hidden gem of Can Tho.

Awesome spot. The guide is incredibly knowledgable with a PhD from France in the field. He is very fluent in English and his french perfect. Fascinating stories, collection and artifacts. Way more than just Tarot.

What a fantastic find! A real jewel in the city of Can Tho. A lovely young man, Will was my tour guide! There are 3 floors of artifacts & historical items. Such a lovely surprise and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I’m so pleased I visited and do stay afterwards to have the most amazing aromatic coffee! I wish to highly recommend a visit to the Museum of Tarot! 🔮🪄🧙‍♀️

Well let's say it's a private collection which is presented alike , in glass boxes . Audioguide is a website . Nowhere mentioned that you have to bring your phone with headphones. Entrance fee is 200k VCD , which is far to high . In Vietnam the amount for 4 good dinner .

The Museum of Tarot was awesome. It has very well currated items by Dr. Philippe NGO who really knows his stuff and gives an amazing guided tour. Everything is well laid out so that Dr. NGO can walk you through the history of the cards for both ludic/paidic purposes as well as the more mystical side. The tour focuses mainly on the history of the mystic, looking at it from all different cultural and religious view points. Finally, it extends beyond the tarot to a many more relics. Amazing tour in a beautifully restored building. Dr. NGO is knowledgeable and respectful of the history and culture. This museum is a must if you are in the city even for a short amount of time. Be sure to email a bit ahead of time to arrange for your visit.

Pretty place but the explanations were not useful at all. We don’t know much about tarot and we still don’t know a lot after the visit. The price is expensive for what is it. It’s 200k vnd per person and they give you a guide that is not good at all. The guide is a website on your cellphone, pretty hard to use and it just give you some date about when this kind of tarot was made and what pictures are on it. The price include a drink that is a small bottle of water and a “gift” that was a used vampire tarot pack... Definitely not worth it. The place has some potential but I didn’t like it the way they make a visit.

The reason it got two star is that it is closed in spite of the opening hours posted. I visited there but they said it is closed for the morning and will open in the afternoon. Disappointed! Check before if you happen to visit on Sunday.

(Translated by Google) I am not particularly proficient in tarot, mysticism, mysticism and magic. Visiting this museum, I must say is a highlight of our visit to Can Tho. It is a great getaway from typical tourist spots, but still gives you a great experience of Vietnam and other surrounding areas. The museum is three floors, each floor contains hundreds, if not thousands of items, these items are unique, rare, limited, and unique pieces ranging from early 1500 AD (maybe even sooner) to this day. The owner of the museum, Dr. Philippe Ngo, was very welcoming and gave us a wonderful trip through his museum with a very informative explanation of many of his works. Parts from all over the world vary, from early Europe, Byzantine, early Americans and Asia. Among Asian works, I have never seen Indonesian and Vietnamese food like this before and given a very detailed explanation of how they were used by locals at the time. I must also mention, it is not only Tarot Cards and related items, many religious pieces from the countries and time mentioned. Free admission and a donation can be made if you tend to provide museum activities (absolutely no pressure from anyone in this way). Traditional tea service available, small items for sale also go to museum activities (no pressure) and tarot readings. We are traveling through Vietnam from New York City and the association with Tarot has always been with gypsy fortuneteller trick, this information visit really piqued my interest in its history and washed the innings. Its typical Assembly. I highly recommend a visit here. We used Google Maps to find our way here and it was accurate.

No one was present for an actual tour in person so chose the audio guide(The owner lives in Hanoi) ..Do NOT go for the audio guide (195k vnd) tour...I wanted to go through the entire museum so went for that option...but robotic voice narration (the price is not justified) and it's missing links in so many places...there was a volunteer who spoke English when I came but left soon (just prompted me to move on to the next file when I pointed out the missing link)...then when I started finding multiple missing links for the audio files, the local guy asked me to wait for 2 hours in order to resolve the issue and gave no refund..Waste of money and time!

Note that the photo from Trip Advisor does not match the front of this museum. I tried to contact someone via the website months in advance and received no reply. Showed up on a Thursday at 1 PM and paid entry fee (after having to get attendant's attention who was busy texting / playing games on his phone), took off shoes and ascended stairs. Displays full of items but unmarked. Skipped the recorded commentary based on poor reviews. Wifii not working. Air was stuffy--ceiling fans were turned off for some reason. Not sure if the cafe was running--no evidence of food/drink service for visitors and none offered. Disappointed that the lithotherapy objects were removed from the collection. As a Viet Kieu who is an avid tarot person, I found myself a bit let down. Three stars for a cool collection of items that photographed well but it all felt a bit neglected and randomly displayed--bummed that they did not offer Vietnamese tarot decks for sale.

Well worth the trip. The collection in the museum is very diverse and rich. I brought foreign friends and everyone liked it. It would be even better if there were more guides fluent in English.

What an astonishing place! It’s closed for renovations at the moment, but Dr Ngo kindly showed me around anyway. There is a huge collection of tarot cards from all around the world, and covering the whole history of tarot from the mid-18th century up to today. Dr Ngo, who teaches comparative religions and beliefs at the university here, had me riveted by his explanation of the history of tarot, and its connections with art and religions in the last 200 years. I highly recommend it, together with the very pleasant coffee shop on the ground floor.
