During the four weeks in Vietnam, this tour was my absolute favorite! The landscape is magical and breathtaking. You can choose between three tours that differ between more temples or more caves or more landscape. My pictures were taken on tour three. On all tours you will travel through this wonderful landscape in a small rowing boat with four people. Because the boats don't have motors, this place is very quiet and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery and small caves. The price is around $10 (per seat) but it's worth it. For me a must visit in Vietnam! Highly recommended.

I don’t remember how much for the ticket 😂, but this place is definitely worth it. You can choose 1 of 4 or 5 designated packages , the first package is the longest and they will take you to places ( including temple, Vietnamese ancestors…) . They serve 4 people in one boat, if you go alone or couple, they will mix with 3 or 2 more people. It was breathtaking scenery. It will close around 3pm - 4pm ( I’m not sure) , so your should come early in the morning if you want to visit the Bai Dinh pagoda in one day. Unfortunately, I haven’t visited the BaI Dinh pagoda. Hope my sharing will help you. 😂😂😂

Be sure to tip your boat guide, they work very hard to show you the beautiful places in the wetlands, and help them out with paddling too. Great experience. One of my favourite places in Vietnam as a backpacker.

Amazing view and experience rowing through the caves. Can stop over at the temples for leisure walk and picture taking if not in a rush. Make sure the attire prepares you for 2h under the sun and be ready to give a hand to the boatman/ boatwoman by rowing. Tips expected.

Beautiful views throughout the 3 hour tour! Took Route 3, which brought us to the 1km long cave. This route also seems much less crowded than Route 2, although it eventually joins up with Route 2 on the second half, where it'll get crowded again. Highly recommend!

Amazing site really worth visiting ! 250 000 VDN/person (about 10$) but you can buy 4 seats for 1 million if you'd like to have the boat to yourself. I would also suggest to do your research if you don't speak vietnamese or download Google translate cause the information isn't available in English and the boatmen usually don't speak English either. We chose route 1 (9 caves + 3 temples) and I think we did good cause it was really not busy ! The tour lasts 3 hours so bring sunscreen ! Other than that the visit is amazingly beautiful and is 100% worth it !

Highly recommended tour. Truly mesmerising view and unforgettable experience. Extremely peaceful and calm. Every corner of the trip is photogenic. We took route 1– been through 9 caves and 3 temples. The caves are cool, but pay attention to the rock as you may need to dodge from time to time. We didn’t know they only depart when there’re four people on one boat— my fiancé and I had to wait for 10 mins to be paired with another two tourists to begin our trip.

A must when visiting Ninh Bình! Price is VND250K~USD12/person regardless of holidays, for foreigners 2 passengers/boat, for Vietnamese 4 passengers/boat (if you want a boat just to yourself, you have to pay for the empty seat(s), ex: a Vietnamese couple would have to pay VND500k for the remaining 2 seats). Super nice trip, 3 routes offered, I chose route #3 since they said it has the most photogenic scenes, highly recommended. All are 2-3 hour trip, the other 2 routes more into caves. Tipping is 100% optional, they won’t ask you anyway but it is a nice gesture since your sailman aka tour guide works really hard and is very nice. Hope this finds you well, for more see me on Instagram @lifedejerry! Cheers!

Not bad can try, do route 3. Route one, 3.5 hours long. Very sunny and painful for the butt for long duration of sitting. Route two shorter than Route one. Route three shorter than Route two. Summary, just do Route three or two. Staff is professional and helpful. Enjoyable trip.

Absolutely jaw dropping rowboat tour through a UNESCO world heritage site. 10 times better than the one they have in Tam Coc. It's the "must do" boat tour when in Ninh Binh. Info: After getting yourself a ticket 250k (10dollars June2022) walk under the road to get to the wharf. Choose boat route 1,2 or 3. Route 1 is shortest with 9 caves. Route 2 is longer with 4 caves, 4 pagodas. Route 3 is really long with 4 caves and many pagodas. In my opinion, route 2 is the best, because route 3 is just too long. Trust me you'll understand that when you feel the sun after 3 hours, route 3 gets a bit too long. Route 1 and 2 is under 2,5 hours, route 3 is over 3 hours. They try to put 3-5 people in a boat together. Likes: The area is just immaculate and natural, they take really good care of it, no trash can be seen in the river. The place oozes with life, birds, fish, frogs, insects. Many beautiful river caves and stunning temples can be found along your trip. Many excellent photo opportunities for picture lovers. There are many toilets along the way, you don't need to worry about a full bladder. The river is jaw dropping beautiful. The high granite cliffs are spectacular. It's a magical place. Please give the rower of your boat a nice tip at the end. You can also help to row along the way if you want. Dislikes: It gets busy and crowded during summer, I wish the noisy tourist showed more respect for the quiet and tranquil nature of the area. Tip: Bring something to protect you against the sun or a random rain shower. Buy some snacks before you get on the boat.

This was the best place in our vietnam trip.it took more than two hours to complete the full journey. During our journey, we visited three temples and three caves.all the temples were the same, but the caves were different.when we paddled in side the cave, that was the breathtaking experience we ever had during our visit.

We had a great time here. This place is majestic! Must see when visiting Hanoi! Please also give large tips to our boaters because they are really exerting a lot of effort and energy in touring us around Trang An for 2 hours!!!

Nice, 3 hour boat ride with several stops at temples and pagodas. Some caves have low clearance, so mind your head. Other caves have massive chambers that almost make it feel like the mountain is completely hollow. Recommend doing route 3 as it has the longest cave (1000m). Lots of koi fish at the temples and you can buy a pack fish food for 10000VND.

Yes, it's touristic and can be very very busy. But... don't go there in a weekend, be there early and take route number 1. Route number 1 is very beautiful and not so busy as you don't visit some of the 'famous' spots. We were impressed how well organized everything is, from buying a ticket to finding a boat. We must admit, it was not busy as there were still no Chinese tourists in March 2023. When we see pictures how busy it can get, we would not give 5 stars in that situation. During the boat trip there is no one who wants to sell you anything and the rower does not explicitly ask for a tip. That's quite different from Trang An as I read the reviews from that place.

Our experience on Trang An, Path 1, was a tranquil and enchanting journey through the natural beauty of Ninh Binh. Initially, we had hoped to paddle our own kayak, but the only option available was to join a boat with a staff member operating it. Each boat accommodated four passengers, and we found ourselves guided gently through the serene waters. While we missed the sense of adventure that comes with kayaking ourselves, we couldn't deny the serene charm of the place. The calm waters and the towering limestone formations created a soothing atmosphere that made the journey quite enjoyable. The real highlights of our trip were the caves we encountered along the way. As we floated through these natural wonders, the play of light on the cave walls and the unique rock formations left us in awe. Aside from the natural beauty, we also had the opportunity to visit three temples along the route, offering a cultural dimension to our adventure. In summary, Trang An Path 1 is a peaceful and visually captivating experience, even if it doesn't offer the freedom of independent kayaking. The tranquility of the place and the beauty of the caves make it a worthwhile destination for those looking to unwind and appreciate nature's wonders. Don't miss the chance to explore this hidden gem when you're in Ninh Binh.

Such a great day it was! Romantic boat trip around this magical area... Unfortunately the boat woman didn't speak any English, that's something to keep in mind. We picked route no.2 and I think it was great, a couple warned us against no1, many took no.3... I might recommend no.3 still :)

One of the best experiences ever! It wasn’t too busy and we got on the boat straight away. This place is a world heritage site and they really look after the site. From the area where you buy the tickets to where you get on the boat it’s all very nice. They have hundreds of boats so if it’s busy I’m sure you don’t wait too long. You can pick one of 3 routes. We went for route 1 (the most popular) and we were out for about 3 hours! You visit a few temples/ pagodas and go through loads of caves! It’s so peaceful and beautiful. Ha Long bay in land!

Very nice boat trip around the mountains and Buddhist temples. We chose trip #2 which is less crowded than #3 and really beautiful. It takes about 2.5 hours from start to finish. Be careful, in winter (February) it can get cold and very cloudy (we didn't see the sun at all!)

This complex is well managed. You pay vnd 250k for around 3-3.5hrs boat ride. You can choose 1 out of 3 routes option to explore caves & temples with a beautiful scenery. The boat lady didn't talk english but really amazed on how she maneuvers the boat through the narrow caves. Giving a little tips wont hurt since they really manually paddling the boat for you the entire 3-3.5hrs boat ride. There are 2 place in Ninh Binh for you to enjoy the boat ride with panoramic views, the other one is Tamcoc but the hostel lady recommended Trang An Landscape more.

Beautiful! The boat trip usually takes 3 hours but we did a 2 hours trip because the water level got too high. We still had a great time. It coast 250,000 dong per person

This place is a must visit and my favorite in North Vietnam. Its a UNESCO world heritage site and the boat trip to the river and caves are really worth visiting and for the price of $35 which includes lunch, hotel pick up and drop off, a temple and local village tour is very much worth the cost. The boat ride was very serene and peaceful because you hear nature and the boat oar motion on the water only... i love the scenery and greenery of the limestone karst and forest. I highly recommend this tour

This 3 hour boat ride in the jungle was one of the most amazing nature tours I've ever had. Enjoy the eery silence and take the best photos of your trip to Vietnam. There are 3 routes to choose from. We choose route #1 for being the most quiet and relaxed but if you want to visit the movie set of Kong: skull island you can choose either of the other 2 routes.

Peaceful and spectacular at the same time. It was busy but not so much that the views and serenity were affected. Caves were great too and offered a brief break from the hot sun.

It is one of the place that is worth to visit in Vietnam. Ninh Binh is beautiful and Trang An could be one of the best for its beauty, cleaness, nice services and quite good food at reasonable price.

We took route #3. 3 caves and 3 spritual sanctuaries. Absolutely stunning and a must visit. Also cool to see where the movie “Kong” was filmed.
