Skip the flag pole, this is such a better experience; the view is one of the best on the entire Ha Giang Loop. Take the road to Xeo Lung on Maps, don't type in Northernmost point of Vietnam as it won't bring you to the right place.

It's not the North Pole, it's the Northernmost point of Vietnam.

The top of the country, the northernmost part of Vietnam. A check-in location when arriving in Ha Giang. Here we look across the border and the source of the Nho Que river. It seems that coming in here is quite nice, the basic work has been done, although it's still a bit dusty. Local people came here for spring break to play on the swings and had a lot of fun.

Vast and majestic view of gorge and mountains. Can see the border barbed wire fences erected by the Chinese

Absolutely breathtaking view, it’s so much better than the flag. Somewhat hard to get to, Take the drive from Xeo Lung, do not follow the Google maps direction

Skip the flag and go here instead if you want to avoid all the big tours. The views of the cliffs and the valley are breathtaking on the way there and you can clearly see the border with all its checkpoints while also being at the Northernmost point of Vietnam. For some reason the directions weren’t properly working as we were getting closer to the border. It wasn’t too much of an issue tho, we just asked the locals and then followed the signs.

North Pole of Vietnam! The air is freaking fresh and speechless view! Should ask locals the way to avoid going lost since there is no sign on the way there!

We travel there via motorcycles. Ha Giang motorcycle loop tour. We got to look into China from Vietnam. Vast landscapes and idyllic sharp rolling hills are all around. Definitely recommend!

Was great getting this close to the border. There’s a little bit of off-road before you reach the village with the road going to the point but nothing too crazy

Definitely worthwhile. Take Lung Coc road until you hit a side road to get here. There's signs along the way. Note that the initial entrance road is super rocky but then evens out to pavement for when you're approaching the border. The drive is both narrow and steep so take your time. The views are incredible, and seeing Vietnam on one side and China on the other is a very memorable experience. The actual northern most point has a nice path up to it with a two-story gazebo.

If you want to see the Chinese border, and you have a motorcycle, come here instead of the flag post. There is a small, steepish road you have to come down which is not in super amazing shape although not bad either. They do charge you to park at the end of the road

The northernmost point of the country that people often take photos to check in is about 2.5 to 3.5 km from Lo Lo Chai village. However, the northernmost point is actually located under the gap of two mountain peaks about 3-4km away, along the hiking path, where the magical Nho Que river originates. To get there, a healthy person or someone who exercises will take about 6-7 hours for the journey both there and back. For normal people, it may take longer. Or it takes up to a day going back and forth to get to that checkin point. Therefore, people should consider before going there. However, it will be an extremely interesting destination if you are someone who loves to explore and explore. Ultimately, you should go there because not everyone gets to go there once in their life. 🥰🥰🥰

This is lower in altitude than the flagpole so if the mountaintops are covered in mist then this is the better option. Go through Xeo lung to get here, turn off is shown on maps.me but Google maps can't seem to get this right. It's not a long ride and less busy than the flagpole, easy to find. Road conditions are ok with only a few potholes here and there, had the place to myself after the easyriders left which was cool. I wouldn't say it's a 5-star attraction, it's cool and worth a visit but not going to blow your mind. More about the adventure although the valley is cool.

Absolutely must visit. Road is kinda hard and google may show a wrong way. You should turn left before the Flag point, and go by the road around. Not that, which google show you
