This is the main Gateway to the centre of Vigo. It's always busy with traffic so be careful.. The landmark feature is the Horses sculpture (Los Caballos) by Jose Olvieira erected in 1991. It's 60 ft. high and 40 tons comprising of a herd of 5 horses. O Castro nearby had horses & the mountains around have wild horses & the amous fiesta Rapa das Bestas (Capture of Beasts) when they have the cutting of manes in curros & the foals are marked.

Large roundabout with petrol station. Used as an easy to find point to pick people up or leave them.

(Translated by Google) It is one of the most emblematic roundabouts in the city, if not the most. I love it, it's beautiful, original and I haven't seen anything like it in any other city. For me it is one of the prides of Vigo along with the statue of the sailors that is at the beginning of the Gran Via.

😐 The Bay of Vigo was mentioned in the book “20 000 Leagues Under the Sea” written by Jules Verne. After publishing his book, he visited the city of Vigo aboard his yacht Saint Michel III. The bronze sculpture, made in 2005, was to commemorate to centenary of the death of the writer.
