Lovely hotel in the heart of Vigo. Super helpful and friendly reception. Highly recommended for a family stay when visiting the town. We stayed in a regular double with two kids and had an extra bed and baby cot at no extra fees. Personnel was very attentive and helpful. Very pleasantly surprised with the prices in the bar. Overall, top rated experience. Very well managed.

Great location and great staff. It's a very convenient place in the city center but close to the Casco Viejo. It's about a 15 minute walk from the Vigo Urzaiz train station and the adjacent bus station and Vialia shopping mall. I paid for breakfast (as I got confused on which hotel in my itinerary included it), which though steep compared to eating elsewhere was comparable to similar hotels. It was buffet style and quite good and I'm sure I ended up getting my money's worth.

The hotel is right in the center. The accommodations are good. The breakfast is great with a large variety. We went there for a bachelorette long-weekend an MARCOS FREIJEIRO OCAMPO helps us make it so special for the bride, he's the best!! Give him a rise! He's the best employees in the hotel, always making sure everything is great and always available to help (unlike some of the others employees). Recommend the stay for sure.

This is a long overdue review. We had people from our organization stay at the NH for several weeks while our ship was in drydock, and they were extremely accomodating, offering tons of extra touches to make their stay there comfortable. We later had the pleasure of hosting several meetings at a fantastic hotel, and I cannot express enough how impressed I was with their exceptional service and accommodating nature. From start to finish, our experience was flawless, and it was largely due to the exceptional efforts of Natalia, the brilliant events manager. First and foremost, the hotel itself was a haven of comfort and elegance. The facilities were immaculate, providing a professional and conducive environment for our meetings. The meeting rooms were well-equipped, ensuring seamless presentations and smooth communication. The hotel's attention to detail in maintaining a clean and inviting atmosphere made a significant difference in the overall experience. However, it was Natalia (the events manager) who truly went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Her professionalism and dedication were truly outstanding. From the initial planning stages, Natalia demonstrated a remarkable ability to understand our specific needs and requirements. She meticulously tailored each aspect of the event to suit our preferences, ensuring that every detail was in place. Natalia's expertise in event management was evident throughout the entire process. She effortlessly coordinated with various departments within the hotel to ensure flawless execution. Whether it was arranging audiovisual equipment, coordinating refreshments, or making last-minute adjustments, Natalia handled everything with efficiency and grace. Her exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail truly set her apart. Moreover, Natalia's warm and friendly demeanor made working with her an absolute pleasure. She exuded a genuine passion for her job and went out of her way to make us feel welcomed and valued. She was always available to address any concerns or questions we had, ensuring that we felt supported throughout our entire stay. Her positive attitude and proactive approach were truly refreshing. The entire team at the hotel also deserves recognition for their outstanding service. From the friendly reception staff to the diligent housekeeping team, everyone we encountered was attentive and eager to assist. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was one of genuine hospitality and customer satisfaction. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel for any event or meeting requirements, or extended stays. The exceptional service, coupled with the dedication of Natalia, the remarkable events manager, created an experience that exceeded our expectations. The hotel's commitment to providing a seamless and comfortable stay, combined with their attention to detail, sets them apart from the rest. I am grateful for the incredible memories and highly commend the hotel and Natalia for their outstanding hospitality.

We bumped into a neighbour walking her dog yesterday. After learning we’d just returned from Spain she declared: “I love Spain; the people, they’re so friendly and ready to smile.” She went on to add that she preferred it to France or Italy because of the people. In 2019 the country played host to over 83 million tourists – a record – who spent nearly US$95 billion. You don’t get those numbers without a welcoming smile. It’s something we experienced at the NH Collection hotel in Vigo, the port city in Galicia, Spain. From the reception to the lobby lounge and dining room, from breakfast to evening tapas, the staff always wanted to help and please – particularly Guest Relations and Quality head Marcos Freijeiro Ocampo. Many years ago British Airways introduced a training programme for its “customer-facing” employees called ‘Putting People First’. The presumption was ground and cabin staff needed to change their attitude. The initiative was an inherent failure because the staff realized the airline management, who were unlikely to come into regular contact with a customer, thought they didn’t care about them enough. Code-share airline partner American Airlines has created something similar in an attempt to demonstrate customer-centric motivation. The safety video shown prior to aircraft takeoff ends with the branding catchphrase : “You are why we fly”. Customers choose a service industry provider not because of a slogan, or even a write-up on social media, but in the hope of a good experience. Herb Kelleher, the co-founder and CEO of Southwest Airlines, once explained the secret of the company’s unrivalled success was because it put the interests of employees first, profits second and shareholders third. In Vigo, the NH Hotel Group appears to have a similar corporate goal by hiring staff that know how to provide a memorable experience for the customer. From his desk in the hotel lobby, Marcos epitomizes this personal attention – no request is too much trouble. Perhaps that’s why our neighbour prefers a holiday in Spain: more smiles, less slogans.

Excellent location and service! We had some problems with our room and the staff was super apologetic and accommodating. They changed us to a new room (which was perfect) gave us cookies for an apology and even a gift for my husbands birthday weekend. Thank you NH hotels! We had a great time and we look forward to coming back to Vigo!

The location is excellent and the hotel is in great condition. The employee Marcos deserves all the credit for making what would have been a normal stay into a spectacular one - he went the extra mile to make everything run super smoothly! The only complaint is that the air conditioning in our room was broken (only gave a super low temperature) and we did not feel much support from the receptionists in solving this problem. The first solution presented was "turn off the air conditioning" - when of course we had already done it, but they would turn it back on when cleaning the room. When we pressed, they offered a heater to speed up the room temperature.

Really great strong hot and roomy shower. Bed was comfortable. Twins made into a double but it slept like a double so good nights sleep. Nice selection of high quality teas of camomile and mint in the room. Breakfast had a great range including usual Spanish cold meats and cheeses and also some pumpkin fritters and pancakes which were delicious and nice selection of pastries

Excellent hotel, centrally located within Vigo - near shopping, great restaurants, and the port. Very quiet rooms which were extremely clean. The bed was very comfortable (with a pillow-top mattress), and the linens were very soft. The room was a comfortable size for two adults. The hotel offers parking (at a cost). The hotel staff was very welcoming and polite. Lastly, the hotel is pet friendly - one of the many reasons why we always choose NH hotels. Highly recommended!!!

Rooms are a tad on the small side, but this is Europe, so that is expected. Super clean. They are renovating the upper floors, but the hotel does not feel dated. Great location, particularly if coming into town via train.

Excellent welcome, super clean and nice comfortable room. Their breakfast buffet one of the best I have experienced in my global travels. Best bread, cheeses, coffee, tea. And yes, you can order your eggs done fresh and the way you like them. Can I give it more stars?

This is a beautiful hotel.. very central, we received a welcome email in advance which was a great idea and much appreciated. The staff are extremely helpful and pleasant. The no. 10 bus will drop you outside if coming from Baiona. We were upgraded to a suite on arrival which was really great. The room is beautiful, huge bed, excellent bed linen. The bathroom is very clean, large with 2 showers and excellent toiletries. City view from room lovely. Coffee machine in the room which is terrific. Personalized welcome information and complementary water and little snack on arrival. We ate in the restaurant which again was very nice and reasonably priced. Really pleased. Highly recommended, excellent value. There's a great funky bar across the road opposite church with great drinks and even better music, staff good fun..

So I had made a reservation for a Premium Room with a view for August 24th (1 night) and was placed in a small room facing a dark wall on the second floor (!). Worse was impossible. Was told the hotel was sold out, but there is no excuse. Marina who was very nice at the FD was very apologetic but nothing could be done (Miguel had nothing to say - very moody looking). So I received an apple and bottled water and a promise for a free upgrade for my next stay. That is not enough. I used my AA miles and want them back, this was unacceptable for a 4-star hotel.

Everything worked out perfectly well. I stayed at the nh Vigo back in 11/17, so the choice was easy this time. We were well received and the staff was very helpful all the time at the reception, in the breakfast room and actually everywhere. It was nice to be greeted also by the maintenance staff!

Great hotel. We stayed here for our daughters wedding and every one was so helpful. Most of our friends stayed as well and had the same experience. The breakfast was fantastic as was the restaurant food. The staff were very helpful and spoke English. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting Vigo.
