Not equivalent to other 5 star hotels in Galicia, max. 4 star… Its clean but breakfast is totally overpriced and not good. Further the Sauna is charged 25€ for absurd 55 minutes! We stayed at other 4 star hotels in Galicia which had a proper breakfast and Sauna included/ max 10€ for half a day. Many „hidden costs“ which are not usual for 5 stars..

I went to a wedding here and the place is spectacular. Food and drink were awesome, and the facility is breathtaking and right on the ocean. Lots of medieval cut granite stones and walls. Their hydrangeas were some of the most beautiful that I have ever seen. Highly recommend for very high-end weddings and events.

The hotel is lovely, very friendly reception staff and well equipped room. We stayed in a superior sea view room which I would highly recommend as the balcony was enormous (30sqm), with sun loungers and dining table and chairs, it made a great space to relax and look at the amazing views. We had a spa circuit which was disappointing - the jacuzzi water was cold so very unpleasant, equally the water circuit was not very warm - maybe some people enjoy this but I did not and spent most of the hour in the sauna. The other aspect we found disagreeable was that in order to access the spa you have to walk across the front of the hotel, this felt quite uncomfortable, strolling in a dressing gown through a coach load of tourists being offloaded... Then for the restaurant...one of the most confusing meals of my life. We had the "menu degustación". The food was actually very good but the restaurant itself has a very strange vibe. The decor is very confused, there was house music playing (better suited to a beach bar in Ibiza than a five star hotel) and the lighting would not have been out of place in a Macdonalds! The waiters were nice enough but would give a very simple explanation of what each dish was and at least twice during the meal started clearing the plates when we hadn't yet finished. Neither were capable of giving wine recommendations, and whilst I know they weren't sommeliers, I would expect a five star hotel to have staff who can discuss the wine on offer and propose what would make a good paring - a good example of this was when we asked if they could recommend a wine to accompany the desert, they suggested water. It feels like the hotel is missing an opportunity with the restaurant, with some small changes it could become a destination restaurant, the food is truly good and worth it but the service and the environment let it down.

Everything is perfect about this place. We had amazing big room with sea and garden view, with magnificent sun set - this is such a special experience. With great details like huge beds, very soft towels, and bathrobes in female/male sizes. Great access to the garden and beach. Really good breakfast with wide selection of ingridients. Unfortunately we didn't have the chance to use swimming pool area - maybe next time! Free parking space is also unique for such facilities and really nice thing.

I didn't stay at the hotel, but did use the bike rental service that is located there. The staff is very professional and kind and I highly recommend anyone that wants to explore Vigo and souroundings to rent a bicycle there.

Elegant hotel with excellent views. The rich decoration of the hotel, the noise of the breeze, the birdsong, the excellent breakfast. Uff! I will be back here again and again definitely! The relaxing massage at the SPA at the hotel remained satisfied. Thank you!

Located south of the center of Vigo but well worth the extra travel time. Fantastic restaurant for all meals. Recommend staying in the older part for a more romantic setting.

Very comfortable hotel. We had a garden view room which had a sunroom porch. If you would like a room with the sea view then ask for a room on a higher floor.

We wanted to visit spa, unfortunately they have a break from 2pm to 4pm which wasn't ideal. But majority of places in Vigo have siesta time during these hours so everything might look empty and closed

Had dinner for my birthday. Carlos’ service was amazing and the food incredible. Could not wish for a better dinner than that. For special occasions… you have to go

It's a bit out of the way from vigo but has plenty on offe. Rustic on the outside, modern on the inside. Great room, excellent shower.

Excellent hotel that’s hard to fault! Beautiful location overlooking water, spotlessly clean room that’s large by any standard, King-sized bed with a balcony, professional spa and massage services, wide range of food options on the breakfast buffet and even a good range of food and wine! And, all very reasonably priced too. Highly recommended…

Great hotel, good location straight at the beach. Nice breakfast buffet (a bit expensive) You have plenty of parking. Their italian restaurant is not what i expected.. anyway, a nice place to stay.

Great rooms and service. Their cafe food was great and reasonably priced. There is also a restaurant next door that is open at various times throughout the day. Direct access to the beach if you want to walk along the sandy/rocky shore. Direct trail access for walking, running or biking. If you need to go deeper into Vigo it's a short and easy car ride away.

07/03/2023 Visited here as part of an excursion "Leisurely Vigo Views" and only involved a dining room. I had tea, pineapple juice and an assortment of savoury and sweet sides. The tea tasted different to any tea I've had before but not unpleasant just unusual. The sides were typical Spanish fare and extremely nice.

If what you need is rest, this is the most marvelous place to get it. Kind and helpful staff. Top of the line installations. The ocean sounds and views, and the quietest and darkest rooms. Dreamy beds. Unbeatable.

Very nice hotel and great location right on the beach! The rooms are comfy but a little bit on the dark though. The italian restaurant needs to improve its dishes, it is very average.. Anyway, the breakfast and brunch are excellent ! I recommend this place.

I am very disappointed in this hotel. I am part of a larger group of people that are staying at the hotel currently and this afternoon I returned to find that the hotel staff had been in my suite and put all of my belongings in my case and left it in reception. I understand that my suite was due to checkout today, although the rest of my party would be staying an additional night, but this is totally unacceptable behavior on the part of the hotel staff. I have no idea if all of my belongings are there, they threw my clothes in the case rather then folding them like any normal human would. Totally unacceptable for a 5 star hotel, our group is well known to the hotel and we have stayed here in the past without any troubles, but this for sure will be the last time. It is a shame as the property is nice with wonderful views and good food, just the staff and management let it down.

We had a great stay in Vigo and at Pazo Los Escudos. The amenities where excellent but the best ,hidden jewel of the hotel is their amazing spa.Rachel is one of the best massage therapist. The work that she did ,her positive energy ,her experience in helping your body relax and heal made my stay at the hotel even more pleasant. Both my daughters went to the spa and both came out rejuvenated and relaxed. If you end up staying at Pazo Los Escudos do not miss visiting the spa.

We went to a few posh hotels in our latest trip in Galicia, but this place takes the cake. Huge room and large bathroom with jacuzzi. King size bed was particularly comfortable. Ok, the TV is on the small size given the standard size of TVs these days, but we didn't spend much time using it anyway. Instead, we went for a lovely stroll along a path west that took us to a long beach with great facilities all along. There are not many restaurants within walking distance, but if you have a car, that will not be an issue. The hotel restaurant looked really good (although we did not try it). Beautiful, immaculate grounds, the smell of flowers everywhere. We will be most likely going back if we go back to Vigo.
