Don't waste your time, we reserved over the phone but when we arrived they didn't have a room for us. Without apologising they told us to go 500m up the road to a different place which turned out to be up a huge hill - they said it was not far but with our suitcases and blisters from the Camino it took us about 30 minutes walking upon which the man at the recommended place told us we needed to wait an extra 30 minutes for him to arrive. Terrible experience and a waste of an evening when we were already tired.

I loved staying at Lapplandia! The place is very cool with a unique interior and cozy vibe. The host, Adrian, is the nicest person you could ever ask for. He is so generous and kind. He shared his ham with us and even offered up his eggs for us to take in the morning. He also took time to really talk with us about how our travels were going. He offered us tea and muffins as soon as we entered the door. Then he carried our suitcases up the super cool staircase inside the house and showed us our rooms. The rooms and bathrooms are clean. The breakfast is good too! Will definitely stay here again if I return to Vigo!

We were told that the normal hostel is full and we will get another room in a new building. But it wasn’t finished at all. That many restauratition work was not finished and there were many holes in walls or lose cables. That wouldn’t be a problem for us, but tripping water from the kitchen ceiling, no warm water and the electronic devices in the kitchen gave electric shocks. The security was really bad as you can see at the pictures of the doors, and some guest rooms were not lookable at all. No price reduction and no excuses or apologies. If your hostel is not ready don’t open it!! That was not the first hostel for me in bad conditions but the first in Europe.. But what was really outstanding was the owner and his wife. When we met them they did not see any reason for apologising. They even said if you don’t like it you can leave, after 11 pm and with no option of refund or location change. Than they left us with 10 euros to stop the conversation. I Never had a Hostel-owner that rude and respectless. The one star is for the nice young guy at the reception. Don’t go there!!!

You're in a big city and want someplace to sleep and have a breakfast. This is the place for you. It's in an old building and the 2nd floor is the hostel with 2 × 6 and plywood sleeping platforms in the three small bedrooms. Yes it's ugly. Yes you want to see it gutted and redone. But you're in a city where something "pretty" will cost you double. Now the dorm rooms, as always, is a roll of the dice in terms of roommates.

Great hostel, clean and friendly very central. Breakfast typical unhealthy Spanish :) but it's free food so we don't complain.
