The taste of idli is awesome. Very soft and delicate. Must try here. Idli plate (3pcs) is 60₹. Which is very costly in my opinion.

One of the best places in South India to have tiffins. I just loved the experience and Kudos to Babai Hotel team for maintaining the taste for more than 45 yrs (I started having their Idlis at Age 5). As always fantastic taste of Idli and Vada, Chutneys are super with Karam podi served with Ghee. A must visit place to have tiffins while in Vijayawada. I highly recommend this place

IMO(In my opinion) the cost to quality ratio dropped quite a bit over the last few years. The tiffins taste good but, now a days we're getting the same taste elsewhere as well at lower prices and with more comfortable seating options. The butter that comes along with the Idly, which made them unique in the first place, is a joke now (quantity wise) - they just serve two very thin streaks of butter and refuse to put more. Earlier that definitely wasn't the case

Food taste was good! When it comes to ambience its normal! We cannot sit or stand comfortably as there will be very much rush! If you are a foody you can enjoy wide range of tiffins irrespective of ambience!But the prices are high..

Small size place, but all healthy food available... not deep fried items

Established in1942, a best place in Vijaywada for having breakfast. Very healthy authentic andhra breakfast is available here. You can enjoy the healthy and tasty breakfast here till 12.30 pm afternoon only. This is a very famous place and 1km away from the railway station. I loves the taste of food and price is also reasonable.

After a long gap, babai hotel once again reopened with some extraordinary illustrations and interior was attractive with all doodling and the designs by our youthful professionals. They done a fine job. Coming to taste - it never changed, the taste and the savour is static. absolute goodness. They introduced a stall for only filter coffee.. I didn't got a chance to try filter coffee but I hope it's at its best.

Babai Hotel is a very old famous tiffen Centre in VIJAYAWADA. The quality of food is excellent. Only selected items like Special Idli with butter/ghee, various dosas with butter & ghee & Pongal are available.. self service . Coffee is available outside the hotel

"oru peddha peru dhiba" I'm still wondering how this place became popular tiffen centre. No sambar, no vada and poori. Idly and dosas only and chutney don't have enough salt. Sitting space is too less and expensive compared to other places in vijaywada city

Very small and limited menu. Food delivery was quick. But there is no proper table to sit and eat. We had to stand and eat. Not really worth the hype or reputation

It is a must visit place in Vijaywada. You should try the idli here ,the best item on the menu. You can come here once. It would really be good if they had more seating. The taste of idli is really good , you can feel the butter melting in your mouth and that soft idli will surprise your taste buds...

Ambience was not bad . Only 2 tables to sit and we went around 11:30 croud was normal . Coming to taste idle was nice Put in ur mouth that's melts. dosa was normal ...

This is pretty good. Nicely renovated. Idly is must try item here. Do not miss it. Dosa items are also good. Can give it a try, but a must try for idly lovers. Prices are also reasonable. Can go for it.

Traditional Andhra breakfast items. Tasty and value for money. Please don't miss their signature dish Idli. Their coffee counter outside serves fresh coffee which rounds off the breakfast experience. Place is open in 1st half of the day only.

I couldn't write a review off this hotel in vijaywada, one word answer offme just go and ate the whole item they have, literally they given best off taste. I never tasted like that in vijaywada. Had breakfast almost 10 days during my vijayawada visit. Food was good taste like home food. Didn't fall sick even after eating 10 days. Have a nice break fast and cup of filter coffee to start your day.

Doesn't really live up to the hype and prices charged! Tried their famous Idli, topped with ghee, butter & served with podi, 2 chutneys and it's fine. It's not as good as expected and I have had better Idlis in Vijayawada itself! Had Upma Pesarattu, made with Wheat Upma then and it's good. Tried Filter Coffee at last and it's unexpectedly great! Service is good and quick as well. But there are only two tables inside this place and most of the customers can't sit and eat. Seating capacity can be increased considering the generally big crowd here.

It's not the same goody good restaurant of yesteryears, lot has changed including the food the taste & the nostalgic experience of good old times missing, If you dare to try any snack here better Stop your temptation & stick yourself ordering idlys & rest all worth nothing...

The food is the best in town, especially the podi idly❤️‍🔥 U can't get a better idly than this, and the green chutney they give is pure bliss. Don't miss out on Pesarattu and onion dosa. Everything was perfect. It will be crowded and u gotta wait to get your seat.

Top Notch Quality and very delicious food. It's a bit pricey but feels reasonable for the taste and quality. Fast to serve, and everyone there are quick on toes. Only minus - parking - no dedicated parking for a famous hotel like this.

Food tasted good here. We ordered ... Breakfast: Idly and Masala dosa. Food was very light send for a heavy eater he would need order multiple items here. Recommend idly here. Masada dosa is not that hype. We visited this based on the reviews from our friends 😀 Thanks 😊

Visited several times in recent years same taste and quality. congested place no siting area or standing place in busy hours fadt service and afordable price and the coffee is superb

Hyped.....! Whatever.... Tasted idly with two types of chutney with some podi and butter on it. It's average in taste... And the coffee outside attracted me more than the breakfast... Try if you are in this way..

Food taste was ok and I feel not authentic look, it’s crowded most of the time and person was no polite on customers always shouting and the person serves the food also was little impatient, you always need to take your plate to serve place if you want any chutney and no sufficient place to sit and eat which all makes me to give 3 star rating, I mostly consider how staff behaves with customers which is the primary consideration of my reviews but I feel Babai hotel lacks that.

When I googled for 'must eat restaurants' in Vijayawada, Babai restaurant appeared in almost all postings. So ofcourse that became a definite try-out on our list. The place is located in old city centre, very close to Railway Station. Their menu is the most simple one. Idly, dosa and pongal. Just the 3 with some variation when it comes to the dosa. The idly just melts before u try to swallow. All dosas are made out of Green gram which is a healthy option ( less guilt as u gobble down more than one).the green gram dosa is call the Pesaruttu and when It comes with wheat upma filling, It becomes the MLA pesaruttu (and will u believe, there is no sambar). Yummy ginger chutney and coconut chutney makes it up for the absent sambar. Only 2 tables with 8 chairs in total. Few like us very lucky to get a standing table. Others did not complain as they were relishing in typical Kayendhi style.
