It is one of the dense forests in Telangana, perfect place for birding...we saw Asian Brown flycatcher,White-bellied Drongos, Rose ringed Parakeets...need to go early in the morning otherwise people starts coming inside of the forest from 7 or 7.30 am.. located near Ananthagiri Temple..it is 80 km from Hyderabad.Birding spot is the forest down the steps from this temple..

This is the best place in the outskirts of hyderabad. Here is the total plan. The perfect time to visit this place is october to february. It is at a distance of 60kms from hyderabad. The route from hyderabad to ananthagiri hills is just awesome. Please take a car or bike because one can enjoy its beauty on the way. There are many banyan trees on the way which have hanging roots. So dont forget to swing about the roots. And there is a eucalyptus plantation which is perfect spot for awesome pictures. Near to the plantation, there are some tree logs which are very huge and definitely a photo spot. After reaching the place, there is a temple of anantha padmanabhaswamy from which the name of the place has originated. There is track into the dense forest on the back side of the temple. It is just going into the forest. No specific track is present. It depends on your interest to go. Then at a distance of 1km from the temple there is a trek place into the hills. This is a must for everyone who visit this place. We went in rainy season and the beauty of the place is just awesome. The trek is just awesome and the view from the top is like paradise. From there at a distance of 1km on the way to bugga ramalinga temple, they rent cycles. Please definitely take a cycle and just go for a ride in the track they mention, because it is full of green plains with amazing climate. Just relax there for an hour in the lap of nature and continue your journey to bugga ramalinga temple. And there is also a dam called kottupally, where there is boating. U can enjoy there for sometime and have maggi there. The combination of maggi and cool, green weather is really the best combination. Then start your journey back tho hyderabad. It is advisable you carry your lunch and snacks packed with you, because there are no restuarants near by. I hope this helps. Please hyderabadians first definitely visit this place and then go to other states for nature beauty. First appreciate the one near your home.😍Finally if it rains when u go there dont get disheatrened, because it is even better if it rains because the beauty just gets doubled. So carry umbrellas and move on✌🏻

Nature wise it's really pleasant and lovely but people who visit majority have no sense when comes to take care of our nature. They just simply throw plastic bottles and waste papers onto the field without any sense. One should carry bin bags and afterwards throw them in the provided bins.

Amazing landscape or I say Green Scape for Hyderabad nature lovers. This hill gives you the most beautiful view from the top. A small hike and nature trail on top is soothing experience to calm your soul. Must visit place in the region.

One of the favorite getaways from Hyderabad. Very beautiful and enchanting in the monsoon. Riders' favorite getaway for a nice half day of fun. Lots of opportunities for trekking, climbing, photography, bird watching and some relaxation. The Haritha hotel nearby is quite good and usually the only option if you want to stay or have food there.

A very popular place to visit for weekend getaways near Hyderabad. Lush greenaries, long valley, eucalyptus forest, curvy but smooth roads; these are all the attractions over there. Public transports like bus service is available but not very frequent, so people usually visit by hired cab or own car or bike. Around 75km away from Gachibowli, Hyderabad; these place is free from pollution and urban noices. There are several temples around including Anantha Padmanabha Swamy temple which is a must visit. Eateries or any general shops are very few in number. One can visit the Kotepally Kayaking Reservoir as well which is about 27km away. Though not much activities are there, still it can be an enjoyable destination for nature lovers.

Great experience. The forest is fun to hike, especially if you're exploring the lesser treaded trails.

Awesome place to visit for a one day trip. I believe the govt has taken much more care than my last visit as I see some development in this area.

If you are visiting for Trekking then there is an entrance, you can park the vehicle with little bit difficulty and you are ready to go. Since it is the Reserve Forest and much visited it is fenced. Explore at self, nothing much informative information provided. Since I visited in summer of March 2023 make it to the place by early hours so that you can visit Temple and explore later. By afternoon you can have lunch and relax under the shade nd reach your destinations by sunset since the roads are single landed.
