This temple has a physical antiquity of about 400 years, though it's spiritual presence can be traced back to the Dwapara Yuga. A brief talk with one of the archakas of the temple revealed that it was constructed by the Nawabs of the Nizam era. The construction of the main temple is credited to Mir Osman Ali Khan, a nawab of the Nizam era. All post-COVID measures are being strictly followed, there isn't much crowd, and darshan was over quickly. A brief history of the events that took place in history that culminated in the construction of the temple makes for interesting listening. One of the stories of the origins of the Musi river is linked to the history of this temple and makes an equally enchanting story.

Main Deity: Lord Vishnu as Sri Anantha Padmanabha Swamy along with his consoles Mahalaxmi and Bhudevi. Very Ancient Temple located in Ananthagiri Hills, Vikarabad and was installed by Rishi Markandeya. Temple is situated under a cave like narrowed entrance to visit Deity. All the Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Idols are in recling posture, whereas here the Deity is in standing posture. Other idols of Markandeya Sahitha Rama, Sri Venugopal Swamy & Anantha Padmanabha Swamy (Reclining posture Idol) are also present here in Temple Premises.

Nice temple located on the Ananthgiri Hills. Visited on a Saturday and there was a little queue. It takes you inside a cave where the God’s Idol is there and when you come outside you can have the prasadam for which you have to pay. There is a Hanuman Statue at the entrance.

A famous ancient temple where shrine is inside the cave and temple fully developed around and in the cave. Here dome of the main temple looks attractive. Temple surroundings and campus is large and handle big crowd but main temple entrance and cave occupancy is limited, hence area is congested and lead wait time. Temple have its paid parking. Along with collections of small temples in walk way and some holly kund. A ancient shiv temple and attached trekking forest area.

Though I've been to ananthagiri hills twice, this was the first time i visited the temple. The temple is peaceful & besides it, there is a way down to a pond from the temple. When you go further down, you could see trees which are hundred year old & how they are spread over that entire area which is worth seeing to those who love the nature & also to those who are photoholics. Don't forget to take time to see the beauty of the nature down there.

Walk about 1km you find one "Grass lands" board take left and walk towards view point. Definately you will like it. Main thing is you can only get beautiful experience in rainy season or in winter. Its a good view point take some snacks and water bottle, but Keep the place plastic free

Calm and serene worshiping place..! Nice temple to visit in the Ananthagiri hills..!! It’s an ancient temple having history and built by Nizams.. we can see the influence of nizams on the various aspects of the temple. Near by there is the starting point of Muchikanda rever, popularly known as Musi Nadi..!!

Serene peaceful auspicious location in the beautiful mountainous area of Anantha Giri hills. One of the few Padmanabha deities in India. The main lord is Swayambhu. Near by location is the penance site of rishi .
