👍👍 There are only a few vegan options on the menu, but they are all really good. Even though "big salad" doesn't sound fancy I can heavily recommend it. We had grilled green pepper, the big salad with salted mushrooms, homemade chips and mushrooms with onion. Almost too much for two people but we could... People often mention recommend, delicious, good,

There are only a few vegan options on the menu, but they are all really good. Even though "big salad" doesn't sound fancy I can heavily recommend it. We had grilled green pepper, the big salad with salted mushrooms, homemade chips and mushrooms with onion. Almost too much for two people but we couldn't stop eating. Prices are really good and the service was excellent (and funny). 😊 If you want authentic portuguese food with a vegan twist, you have to go there.

A little oasis close to the beach, a little hidden in a backyard. It feels a bit like a place from the past - in the good sense. There are real paper books around and, yes, real record players (playing real vynils!), if you remember those. They surely have a sense for traditional values. As a tapas bar they offer small dishes, including quite a few veggie options. Totally our thing, especially in the evening when we wanna eat little only. All the food was wonderful and the lady very attentive and friendly. Highly recommended.

Amazing place with a cozy atmosphere, delicious food/ tapas (something unique we have not tried yet in Portugal), and a super lovely host! We went to a live musing evening. Music was a mix of English and Portuguese. Beautiful music accompanied by good wine. Recommend 11/10!!❤️👌

Loveliest dinner in town so far - pretty hidden but sooo worth it! We ordered several tapas (lots of veggie options too!) to share and enjoyed everything to the fullest. Our personal favorites were the peppers, the chips and the chocolate mousse. YUM :)

The food was ok, although nothing extraordinary, but the wait…….. it took 53min since we arrived to see the first tapa: toasted bread, arrive at our table!! Almost an hour to make a toasted sandwich with an almost empty restaurant. There were in total 3 tables with guests of the 10 plus available so I can’t imagine how much one needs to wait when the restaurant is full. The very idea of tapas assumes easy, fast, shareable dishes. Given the terrace is in an ugly interior patio of an apartment building away from the sea, the wait was particularly painful. The waitress was very nice and I liked my sangria but even then, I would not return to this place. Taking a car to another town would have been faster.

Lovely place, with greta atmosphere and really good vegetarian food with plenty of options! Highly recommend! We had pimentos padron, mushrooms with onions, spicy cheese, and folhado vegetarian! All really good and together with a local red wine!

We loved the food, ambiance (vintage with vinyl turn table, type writer, books, old photos), and service. They serve traditional dishes from Albacoca region, from local farmers (produits du terroir). We loved their cheese plate. Their local sausages, includes 4 types of sausages. One is chorizo, one is a mix of chorizo and boudin noir, one is boudin noir with rice Inside, and one is a sausage that contains flour (softer texture). Even better was veal liver cooked in olive oil with fragrant laurel flavor and roasted garlic flamed with some alcool (they said white wine). So delicious if you are a liver fan. The Portuguese red Sangria with fruits was one of the best I’ve ever had. Loved also their choice of vinyl records and music. Service was great. Made great recommendations. Speaks English, little French. Highly recommend too if you have kids. They can play outside in the square.

I ate here last week. The food was awful. It had no flavour. I think the issue was that almost nothing was fresh. The burger tasted like a cheap burger from the freezer section of a supermarket. The burger bun was stale. The 'chips' were deep fried crisps and some had gone soggy. The salad had cold, soggy, tinned asparagus on top and mushrooms that tasted like they were tinned. The only positive was the friendly and attentive service.

This was our first visit and we were not disappointed. What a fantastic place. Great ambience with an eclectic display of photos, paintings and artifacts. There was a substantial collection of vinyl albums and we were invited to make our own selections which were then played for us. The food prepared by Ricardo was amazing - a great selection of of traditional and modern tapas dishes which were all delicious. Vegetarian and vegan options are also on the menu. The wine selection was great. At the end of our meal we were treated to live music and the whole place broke into song as we sang along with the regular guest local guitarist Miguel. An amazing, joyful night. Finally a mention must go to Ana, our wonderful host. Ana was helpful and attentive with a great sense of humour. It was simply a wonderful evening. We have lived part time in Sao Martinho for 8 years and without doubt this was the best evening out we've ever had here. We will certainly recommend Baía Cultural Bar to our friends and guests and we've already booked our next visit.

The best petiscos in São Martinho! Really delicious small plates, all the traditional Portuguese favorites delivered with high quality. Excellent service and fair prices. The mushroom and onion soup was absolutely delicious.

I am vegetarian and my husband is not and this restaurant served delicious food for both! The service was exceptional and everything the person serving (perhaps the owner) suggested was absolutely delicious! The restaurant is in a square off the beach, totally worth looking for, we highly recommend!

Very cool and low key place. They really know the local wines. More beer choices than just Super Bock and Sagres. Live music occasionally. The decor is full of interesting Portuguese knickknacks. Staff is happy to see you. The food is excellent. Highly recommend.

Definitely recommend!! We were part of a large group that descended on Bia Cultural Bar on a Friday night. Raining consistently. Crowded inside. The staff handled it amazingly well. Food was hot, drinks were all accounted for, and it all just kept coming. Multiple tickets - all kept straight. With a smile.
