Gorgeous hotel, immaculately clean and so well maintained. 1 bedroom apartment was perfect for family of 4. Loads for kids to do, splash park, water slides, football pitch, zip line/ high ropes. We stayed on the prestige block which was gorgeous and a little quieter than the main hotel. Have previously stayed in Colina also which is also great. Lovely helpful staff throughout.

Brilliant resort have stayed 3 times and had booked for the 4th time but unfortunately had to cancel due to Covid. Great for kids small water slides and entertainment everyday. Our children love soccer so every evening people of all ages played on the astro for about 2 hours. Looking forward to going back looking for Easter 2023 but already booked out 😒Highly recommend

Great hotel for family! Nice apartment and great service. Help us stay an extra night in the same room, even though the hotel was almost fully booked. Our airline re-schedule our flight so we had to stay one extra night. Great support and service from the hotel staff!

Very good communication channels given by the hotel. Location is easy to reach as it is on the side of the main road. The hotel has a lot of facilities, where it is perfect for kids. There is an indoor heated swimming pool so if you come here in the winter you still can enjoy the warm water. It is close to the other side of the Alfagar Village. Parking is a bit tricky as it can be full, but luckily we could find a good place to park. The price value of this hotel is very good, as with a low price we do get very good value. The rooms are spacious, clean, updated. We had also a balcony to enjoy the morning sun. It was a perfect trip for us.

We got back from here last night. Very sad to have left. It was our first visit to Portugal but won't be our last. The apartments were fantastic. We had a one bed, it was huge with a large sofa bed in lounge. You could have had a party on the enormous balcony. Everything you need for self catering in the kitchen. They were very clean too. I'm very very impressed. The pools are amazing, with plenty of beds, the beach is beautiful and the facilities great. Several restaurants, pool bar, water slides, 2 supermarkets and play areas all on site. I can't recommend this place enough! The only negative would be the lack of evening entertainment. Its very limited and mainly geared at very young children. We got Ubers into the old town most evenings.

We chose Alfagar Village and Aparthotel based on the reviews of the place on Google and other sites. Happy to say that we've had a lovely time staying here. It's perfect for families, loads of different pools with slides. Sometimes you can trust the reviews when there are so many positive ones. Highly recommended!

Always a lovely time here, we've been there 4 times, very clean with lots to do, it has all you need, and if it doesn't have what you want, you won't have far to go, staff very helpful. Definitely would recommend this place

Amazingly clean with friendly and helpful staff, great facilities and entertainment for the children every day at the pools. Mostly Irish in the place and the prices reflect that. It's more pricey than eating and drinking in the local new town which has lots of options, despite this we enjoyed our vacation. Set up Uber on you phone as it's the least expensive way to get to the old town if you don't fancy walking.

We visited the hotel in September 2022 and we liked it very much! Excellent rooms, very clean, family atmosphere, you can cook, you can also eat in the restaurants, the prices are normal for this type of establishment, if you travel with children they will love the pools, it has many and they are fantastic. It is worth going to this hotel especially if you do it in summer!

Rude, condescending client facing staff. Village rooms are a dump. Main hotel is OK. Prestige is nice. But the ocean views are distant - so don't pay too much of a premium. If anything goes wrong, prepare to deal with trashy people.

Stayed in the newest Prestige block in August. The rooms were fantastic - spacious and modern - service from reception and restaurant staff was fantastic, and the grounds of the complex including sister hotels are great - lots of space, coastal views, lots swimming pools to choose from, and sun beds always available at any time we visited.

We have just got back from this hotel. We have never been to Portugal before and this was our 1st family holiday. The hotel itself was fantastic, could not fault anything, the room was clean and spacious, the cleanliness of it was really good, the pools were great. The only thing I could really pick on is lack of entertainment for Families/kids. Need more entertainment, more choice. They was 3 sister places and only 1 had entertainment on every night. The only other thing was inflatables in the pool. We were told they no inflatables were to be used in the pool and they were signs up around the pool. We didn't see any signs at all and after this information we wouldn't buy the kids any inflatables, so they then become upset when they seen other families using them. If this is the case it needs to be more clear upon arrival. we did also find we got lack of information too, we only found out as we were leaving to come home that the sister hotel over the road, which we could also use had more big water slides for the children. This info was given to us by another family. Apart from these daft things which can be avoided the place is fantastic, beach was gorgeous...

So i called a uber to take me and my family to the restaurant, I was a bit late and uber driver called me that a employee of alfagar told him that he has to leave. How is this possible? I went to the reception and they told me that that's not a carpark for uber. Just changed to falesia hotel. Last time in alfagar

The outside areas are absolutely amazing and we loved it. Unfortunately we had Silverfish in the bathroom, no blinds to darken the room for our 10months old to take a nap and the door between the bedroom and living room could not be closed quietly, so when we put our baby to sleep we needed to leave through the balcony to not wake him which was very cold at night. The walls are also very thin so we could hear the chairs being moved during breakfast/dinner service, neighbours cough and talk

Great place for kids, they have enjoyed all the swimming pools and the food is great!! The Animation team could be a little bit better and with more animations near the pool and have more shows at night.

Best Hotel I have stayed in, perfect for children, very clean, no towels allowed to be left in the sun loungers, beautiful location. You will not be disappointed at all. Can't wait to go back

Fantastic aparthotel for families, great location and very good and spacious rooms. Very clean, the old aparthotel where we stayed is more retro in terms of interior but we actually liked them! If your want more modern rooms you can go to prestige (personally I wont waste my money). Half boarding for family and the Oliveria restaurant was very good specially local food selections for dinner, brilliant open balcony for breakfast. Room service came in quite late twice (after lunchtime) - the only fault I would give. Didn't have much children's entertainment - but I suppose the kids club is open seasonally, but saw quite a big number of children staying now as well so I would suggest the hotel to consider some kids entertainment (may be twice a week). There is a spar nearby for grocery, and all the attractions in algarve within a short drive away.

We stayed here twice and I have just rebooked from September, absolutely love it, we stayed in both hotels, we’re in prestige Last year, very spacious we are 2 adults and 2 kids and will have a baby with us this year that’s why we have decided to go later than usual, but can’t wait to go back. My brothers came (2 men in their 40s ) with us last year and stayed in the village, they also loved it, and are hoping to go again with us this year.

How does a Hotel with such a great potential ends up beeing such a huge disappointment!? The hotel have quite fine infrastructures, yet the service is just awful. When we arrrive for the check-in we got a very unplesant welcome, we made the reservation through booking with early payment, yet we add to pay in the hotel. Although that was not their direct fault, the lady at the reception was quite rude. We had a small briefing on the hotel's accommodations but again they failed to deliver. The bars and restaurants had a schedulle that is not the ones we've been told. We were forced to buy swimming caps to use the interior swimming pool just so we get there and nobody was using any. Almost every employee was very impolite as not even a simple "good morning", "please" or "thank you" they could say, we feel discriminated against maybe just because we are portuguese. The room has a very ugly decor, but the beds are allright. The service really made our stay more than unpleasant.

October half term holiday. 2 Adults 2 children, self-catering. If you plan to visit Portugal be aware that eaten out is expensive. This hotel is Not a flat complex and can be challenging if you were to have walking issues. We stayed in prestige block sea view. This hotel is absolutely lovely, clean spacious apartment. TV in living room and bedroom 😉 bed's very comfortable and soft bed comfortable too. Lovely balcony with table and chairs and sun loungers, very nice. Kitchen had everything you could need including a coffee machine great for me as I don't drink instant coffee, not a posh thing just can't find an instant coffee that tastes good. Maid service at least twice a week and towels regularly. Maids are also very nice and polite. Hotel grounds are imaculate and beach is wonderful. And staff are especially polite and friendly. Great choice of pools from quite to kids with pool slides 🙂. Pool bar in alfagar village does a really nice pizza but main al la cart restaurant not the best and expensive. Cafeteria in prestige block does amazing cocktails and has a wonderful terrace to sit and enjoy the beautiful scenery and sea view. Local area was okay however in a bit of a state with broken buildings and a lot of graffiti around. Old town better and only costs about 6-7 euro's to get there. I would recommend this hotel and would definitely return to this hotel if I visit Portugal in the future. Thanks to all the very hard working staff that make this complex a wonderful one.
