Excellent food at adequate price. The restaurant is off the main touristic spots of Braga and is not crowded as the city center. However, the food was delicious. I had a sublime and tasty bacalhau á Braga (which I still dream about) that melted in my mouth and a very good and typical pudim abade de priscos. There was some delay in the serving of food, but the staff was nice and kind. Strongly suggested!

Best Alheira I’ve had in Portugal. Friendly staff, most of whom speak English. Come for the Roman ruins under the glass floor and stay for the reasonably priced delicious food. We had an appetizer, 2 meals, coffee, dessert, and 5 beers for 31€.

We had a quick lunch and liked the place very much. I had alheira, a sausage invented by Jews of Portugal, who in 1497 were given a choice of either being expelled from the country or converting to Christianity. However they kept the faith and started making sausages, traditionally made of pork from other meats such as poultry and game. With time the dish became an example of Portuguese cuisine. The cafe is also very unique, build on the top of old Roman ruins with glass floors, allowing you to see the ancient stones.

On glas floor you can enjoy the Roman ruins while eating! Crusty Samosas made of chicken was very good! I had a beef steak, asked for picante but as all food in this region it was very humble! But they spiced it up a little. The salmon was exquisite! Go for fish if you like it!!!

Love, love, love this place. Must try the pitcher of Rose Sangria, Braga style Cod and Samosa’s are to die for. I’d come back to this city just to eat this meal again.

Delicious food and excellent service - menu available in Portuguese and English plus it has some great Vegetarian options. Highly recommend the Cheesecake and the Rosé Sangria 😍

Amazing cod a la aTipica. You can also eat the traditional Braga cod there which isn’t as great but also definitely worth trying. Definitely go there!

Came here twice for lunch and then dinner. I had bacalhau aTípica here which is basically bacalhau com natas and it was very yummy. Their Vinho Verde is not to miss as well! I had to reserve for dinner in subpar Portuguese but the waiter was very accommodating and supportive. I do recommend this place ☺️

You need to try here Bacalhau Atipica!!! It’s amazing and very delicious dish made from codfish. I need to came back to try order dishes, because Atypica restaurant in Braga serves great food and wine!!!

Bacalhau Atypica is a homely way to combine oven baked rice with bacalhau for me. Grilled octupos also carries a smooth and fresh taste. With elevated glass pane floors makes it a memorable find in Braga City.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and great food. The bacalhau atipica was particularly delicious and is definitely worth trying. The floor being see through to the ruins beneath is definitely a cool gimmick, but you'll likely be enjoying the food too much to notice much.

Both of the cod fish options were good. But i have to say the baked cod fish with fries and cheese is just on another level. It was so creamy and smooth. A lot of flavour. You won't regret if you eat this here. Fair prices, i don't quite remember but it was about 14eur. Staff was nice and service was fairly fast!

Very nice and kind service. Food was delicious, the restaurant is popular so you have to keep in a queue and than enjoy meal.

Great meal, wonderful staff. I enjoyed chatting about the history of the ruins beneath the restaurant. The staff speak English, no worries if you are from the US.

Great place for lunch! Tasty steak and little price

We have eaten/tried to eat here 3 times. First time we were there for an event that was city sponsored that included a drink/snack for a small price. The staff seemed upset we weren’t there for regular dinner. Service wasn’t outstanding. Second time we had lunch with friends. Service and food was very good. Yesterday we tried to take friends here for lunch. We had 1.5 hours before they closed. I started to open the door and was met my a man telling me no. I could see others eating. He shut the door on me. I live in Portugal so I understand the opening/closing hours for lunch/dinner. Not sure what happened but we will take our guests elsewhere in the future. Many good places to eat in Braga.
