Wow. This place is massively under appreciated. Here is a 1808 hospital pharmacy turned into a museum. It has functioned till 1857 without refitting of the interior. Then in 1857-60 it has undergone a technical renovation to suit the manners of the time and stands here in its original state till now. The entrance fee of 1e is collected, but it totally worth the experience and supports an interesting causes. All the information is well translated into English too, so you won't be left wondering about the details

(Translated by Google) A visit, whether we like it or not, is part of the heritage with regard to everything that relates to hospital supplies and also to know that it was used in various aspects of the human body, so I think it is well spent the time available in this Museum of the Porto Hospital Center.

I really enjoyed this tiny museum. It’s not your usual experience: plan to read all the text on the walls, the exhibit maps, watch the 10-minute video, etc. But there’s so much to see and it really gives you an appreciation for modern medicine. And all for ONE EURO. Check it out.

This museum is small but interesting, especially if you like to know how medical treatment was arranged in a world....ecclesia abhorret sanguinem (church hates to see blood)

(Translated by Google) Interesting but small museum, about pharmacy and pharmacology of infectious diseases. It's interesting if you have time left and you're close. They have 19th and 20th century tools to make pills, formulas, etc. You see it fast (Original) Museo interesante pero pequeño, sobre farmacia y farmacología de enfermedades infecciosas.

(Translated by Google) It is not bad to see if you are interested in the subject or you have plenty of time. But they are simply two rooms with 4 things, which can be seen in 5 minutes if you do not see the video that lasts 11.

For one Euro, I visited this small but nice exhibition. The lady there was very friendly and explained to me the history of the place. If you are passing close by, stop and spend like 20-30 minutes there.

(Translated by Google) Fans of medicine, antiques and history, this condition will be interesting. It is a pity that the composition occupies only two rooms. There are booklets in 4 languages at the entrance. Inside they will show a small film for 10 minutes (also in 4 languages).

Great little museum and it's only €1. There's a video to watch and a few things to read about the pharmacy and hospital. Lots of little bottles and pill making machines to see. The cabinates are beautiful. Definitely worth a quick visit.

I would like to congratulate the Centro Hospitalar do Porto for its decision to recover and preserve this important space of its heritage, to make it available for visits to all citizens who want to visit it. The Hospital Pharmacy was exemplarily revitalized, thus rescuing the splendor of other times. The focus on preserving memories of experiences from other times is to be commended, when so often we try to tear down things to build something with a more contemporary aesthetic. Magnificent testimony to the oldest pharmaceutical practices. I would also like to congratulate you in a particular way on the charming promoter of this space, Dr. Sónia Faria, with whom I had the privilege of participating in the spectacular guided tour entitled: "Hospital Joaquim Urbano: Memories of "Guelas de Pau" in 2019. Many congratulations on this Project! :)

Tiny museum, takes max. 30 mins (if you watch the 10 min film). 1€ entrance. Very helpful & informative staff. I would give 5 stars if there were more in-depth information written out - it was fascinating and I wanted to know so much more.

(Translated by Google) If you are interested in the world of medicine it is highly recommended 😊 it costs € 1.50 and they have very interesting things from a long time ago and how the Porto pharmacy started. They give you an explanatory video and if you have any questions or are interested, explain the person who is there. The woman who was was super attentive and explained all the doubts we had with old machinery. Small museum consisting of two rooms, with an interactive display in the first room and a small video presentation in the second. The video is about the former tuberculosis hospital; various items from the hospital are on display in the museum.

(Translated by Google) Left a little to be desired. I was more expecting something related to the hospital environment and materials used in the hospital formerly and not so much related to the pharmaceutical part and bottles with water and dyes in there.
