Beautiful little spot we stumbled upon during our travels. The service and the women working were so kind and accommodating to us with our baby. The food was incredible and one of our favorite meals in Porto. It is cash only. Highly rec!
We found Restaurante Cozinha da Ci at lunch time after a port tour and tried it because it had good reviews. It was nearly full at 12.30, with a French group (always a sign of good food!). It only has 14 seats and we got the second to last table of 2. It has a small menu of very good food! We tried the pork cheek with chips and salad (extremely delicious) and the bacalao fishcakes with bean rice (very tasty). Followed by chocolate cake (which I don't usually like but this was delicious) and creme brulee (extremely delicious). Plus a beer, a lemonade and a coffee, the bill came to €35, so very reasonable! The French group ordered chorizo flambé, which was fun to watch as it burned at their table for 10 minutes! The lady who took our orders and served us was such a nice, kind, smiling lady, who spoke excellent English and also tried French, though she said English was easier. She made it a wonderful experience. While we were there about 40 more people came in to ask for a table but they were turned away because there were no more tables! A few days later we returned as they opened, at 12.00. It filled up again by 12.40. We tried the chips with eggs, peppers and mushrooms (good) and a plate of padron peppers to share but I ate them all (awesome), meatballs (nice) and chips. Their chips are homemade, fried in olive oil - delicious. We caved in and had dessert again. Still delicious! With 2 beers and a coffee, about €35 again. We had a lovely chat with the waitress, again very smiley and kind! These two meals were the most enjoyable we've had in Porto this week. Excellent food, good value, lovely staff, relaxed and no hassling to leave! We so enjoyed visiting here - thank you so much to the ladies who run the restaurant! Excellent toilet too!👌
Couldn't fault this restaurant. Walked in and could tell we were going to enjoy it, very small menu but the food was lovely. Padron peppers and chorizo meatballs to share as a starter followed by pork cheeks and cod fritters. We don't usually have dessert but the chocolatecake / mousse was delicious. Great value for money too.
Amazing food, wonderfully nice owner and staff, local dishes with a healthier twist, incredible prices. The cod cakes were light and fluffy, less dense. The rice and beans that the fish came with were SO good. The mushroom, pepper eggs over fries was deceptively good. The wine and wine recommendations were outstanding. Cash only, FYI.
Amazing food in a very small and cozy restaurant. Ensuring was excellent.
Had the cod fish fritters as well as the pigs cheek braised in wine. The fritters were soft and fluffy, but the bean rice seemed a bit too wet/saucy. The pigs cheek on the other hand, wonderfully executed. Extremely tender and the flavours infused in fully. Would recommend getting the roasted chorizo, for the gram. Not too sure about how it taste as I didn't order it.
A charming little restaurant tucked away on a side street, just beyond the busiest tourist areas. The hosts were incredibly friendly, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The tapas were delicious, beautifully presented, and offered great value for money. A standout feature was how wonderfully kid-friendly the restaurant was, making it a great choice for families. Highly recommend!
Very nice restaurant, the staff was very kind, attentive and accommodating. Unfortunately the only customers were tourists. Some of them speak very out loud so the atmosphere gets affected. However, the food was very good, simple but very good quality for the price, which is very appreciated. They don’t take reservations, and you need to pay cash. We especially liked the soup and the green beans starters. They only had one dessert when we went there, but maybe they have more variety in general. It was one of the restaurant I liked the most during my stay in Porto.
