The hospitality on this special site is exceptional. It's more like a hotel where you sleep in your van than an ordinary campsite. Carla, her husband, and the other staff go above and beyond to ensure that you have a fantastic experience. She is like an experienced concierge who arranges wine tasting, and neutralises the pain of transport arrangements. Carla is the catalyst for creating the convivial environment for guests to mingle at the bar/restaurant. We extended our stay, and were sad to leave.

I highly recommend this camping! We stayed for 2 nights at a tent spot and really enjoyed our stay. The spots are separated from eachother what offers some privacy. From every camp spot you'll have a great view over the valley. Sanitary is very clean. After a long day you can grab some really good Douro wine's or ports at the camping terrace for a reasonable price. The employees of the camping are very friendly and always willing to help you. All in short go visit it yourself, you'll not regret it.

On top of a hill. Small site with campers crammed in very closely. Staff really friendly and helpful. Toilets and shower set up as bathrooms so only three for women leading to unavailable facilities much of the time due to hair drying, putting on makeup etc

Amazing place!! Perfect location for visiting Lamego and other highlight pf the Douro, nice campground, very clean, restrooms and showers are really nice and the owners are lovely people . They have a nice terrace where you can have a drink and/or eat dinner . Really recommended.

This is a fantastic site for motorhome enthusiasts. Although spaces are limited it is a beautifully appointed destination. The woman who runs is a extremely helpful and most friendly. If Carlsberg did camping hosts…… Facilities are excellent with combined wc & shower. There is a fantastic walk down to the old town. We will return.

Wonderful campsite on the edge of a very old town. The staff were amazing. There’s a little outdoor cafe/bar and you can order food that they have brought in from a restaurant in town at a very reasonable price. They can order croissants and rolls for you too. We sat at the tables eating our pre-ordered food both evenings and it was wonderful talking to people from all countries. Very international. About 25 euros per night. They made our dogs feel very welcome too. Washing machine available at 5 euros a time. We had a tasting at the next door Quinta of the lovely sparkling wine of the Douro valley for 5 euros too. Can’t recommend enough!

Beautiful spot to camp. The host was quite helpful and very nicely explained local places to visit and eat.
