The hotel is great. It is not far from the centre of Porto (maybe 10 minutes walking). It is in a quiet neighborhood. The individual rooms are clean and big enough (and they give you a free water bottle and a chocolate candy). The bathroom is also clean and nice. The breakfast is enough and have a bit of everything. They don't have a 24 hour reception, but anyway if you do a late check in, you can do it by yourself very easily. In overall, I recommend this hotel if you want to stay at Porto for a good price.

The guest house in general and in the common areas is not bad, even though they still have to improve, the breakfast is quite decent. The problems are all in the room and in the indifference by the staff to make up for them. The door handle and the toilet lid were broken, the room was quite clean but too many hair around and a couple in the bed too. Some problems with the aqueduct left the area without water before we arrived so the first day the water was brown and from the third day until the next morning there was no hot water, not to mention the bad smell of pipes that came from all the bathroom drains! I know the problem did not depend on them but at least they could have applied a small discount as all the discomforts were upon us and made our stay less pleasant. In conclusion the accommodation is discreet but the management is inadequate.

Great staff. Nice breakfast. Location is a bit away from things but it didn't bother me. Very clean and quiet. Room a little chilly but everything else was great.

Okay but don't expect Windows in your room. I stayed last Thursday and previous Saturday with two friends. We all had a single room each and although clean etc. the "window" was small, and I mean SMALL! Otherwise everything was fine. Not cheap, €65 per night.

We had two great nights here at the colony guest house. The rooms are big and very clean. The staff around the lovely lady is always helpfull and friendly! An ecample, normal breakfast time is from 9 to 12 am. Because our flight was in the morning, she organized some breakfast for us at 6.30 am. Totaly can recommend this hostel!

This can be a very good choice when staying in Porto. Apart of being in a central area the apartment is equipped with all that you would need. Henedina was a great host, carefully checking the details and also giving great tips about place and food. Check in was on time. Do recommend it.

Lovely staff but very basic, and the tiniest windows I've ever seen in a room
