Not sure where are all these 5* reviews coming from but my experience was very different. I notified the clinic that I am travelling 3 hours to an appointment, and am only coming if they have English speaking doctor which they confirmed, and asked for a day when me and my husband can be seen. They sent me a time, but upon arrival it turned out that our appointments were consecutive (nobody told me that!) AND THAT THEY WERE RUNNING LATE. One hour later in a waiting room, which was set up in a old photography studio, 3mx3m (they were having refurb) first of us was invited in. For the second one it was hour and half. What a disgrace!!! Why could this be scheduled better I have no idea, 3 cafes in stones throw from the place, but no, sit in a stuffy room until “you’re seen”. I was really not happy. Doctor did repair on my tooth, and then immediately claimed I might need a root canal. I discussed it with her over the email and she confirmed the doctor on my second appointment will look into treatment that is not root canal. I arrived for my appointment, doctor DID NOT speak English and was pushing for a root canal. I said no. I’ve since been to a different dentist who does not believe root canal is necessary, until I experience change in my tooth. It’s been 7 months since my appointment. My husbands repair went sideways, he had an infection, tooth ache, and eventually had to do a root canal, because as our new dentist is claiming, the dentist went too deep. Never in the appointment this situation was discussed with him. Finally, we have Portuguese insurance, which was for some reason not taken into account and we paid what I can only assume in full for the treatments which should have been heavily subsidised. I don’t know what is wrong with this place, but it’s a mess. 1) my time was not respected 2) my language requirements were not respected (I would have gone to another clinic if I knew!) 3) my money was not respected, and finally 4)infection caused by doctor resulted in loss of a tooth.
