TLDR:
the
views
are
amazing,
AC
doesn’t
function
in
the
rooms
in
the
newer
part
of
the
hotel,
and
service
from
the
front
desk
was
below
average.
My
husband
and
I
stayed
at
the
Yeatman
for
4
nights
in
May
on
our
honeymoon.
Despite
not
usually
staying
in
such
expensive
hotels,
we
decided
to
splurge
on
the
Yeatman
after
a
positive
experience
at
another
Relais
&
Chateau
property.
However,
our
high
expectations,
especially
regarding
the
service,
were
quickly
let
down.
We
accidentally
made
separate
reservations
for
the
same
dates
at
the
hotel.
Although
I
thought
I
had
canceled
mine
in
February,
I
discovered
a
large
charge
on
my
credit
card
a
couple
of
weeks
before
our
stay.
I
contacted
the
Yeatman
to
explain
the
mix-up
and
requested
a
refund
or
credit
for
the
cancellation
fee.
Unfortunately,
I
received
no
assistance
and
decided
to
address
the
issue
in
person
upon
arrival,
expecting
the
renowned
service
to
resolve
it
easily.
Arriving
at
the
hotel
around
12:30
pm,
we
anticipated
checking
in
and
enjoying
our
stay.
As
we
booked
through
American
Express
Fine
Hotels,
we
were
supposed
to
receive
early
check-in
and
a
possible
room
upgrade.
However,
both
benefits
were
unavailable,
and
we
were
told
to
wait
for
a
text
message
notifying
us
when
our
room
was
ready.
Hungry
and
thirsty,
we
went
to
the
restaurant,
where
service
was
slow.
The
server
took
a
while
to
come
to
our
table,
and
it
took
nearly
20
minutes
to
receive
our
beverages.
The
meal
itself
was
satisfactory.
We
were
finally
able
to
check
in
a
little
after
3pm.
Our
room
was
located
in
a
new
part
of
the
hotel,
quite
far
away
and
requiring
two
lifts
to
reach.
Although
this
was
not
an
issue
for
us,
it
might
be
problematic
for
those
with
mobility
issues.
The
room
itself
was
fine,
but
the
highlight
was
the
spectacular
view.
However,
we
encountered
an
issue
with
the
air
conditioning,
and
our
room
wouldn't
cool
down.
Despite
the
pleasant
weather
outside,
the
room
remained
warm
at
80°F.
We
endured
a
sleepless
night
and
addressed
the
issue
the
following
evening.
The
maintenance
team
suggested
it
was
due
to
the
slightly
ajar
door,
but
we
had
made
sure
the
doors
were
closed.
We
let
it
go
and
tried
to
get
some
sleep.
The
next
morning,
we
were
offered
a
new
room
in
the
original
part
of
the
building,
where
the
air
conditioning
worked
properly.
The
remainder
of
our
stay
was
uneventful,
both
positively
and
negatively.
The
spa
and
bar
service
were
average,
neither
exceptional
nor
disappointing.
The
best
aspects
were
the
breathtaking
view
and
the
live
music
in
the
evenings.
During
check-out,
I
raised
the
issue
of
the
cancellation
fee.
Although
I
maintained
a
polite
tone,
the
hotel
staff
claimed
there
was
nothing
they
could
do,
citing
their
policy.
It
was
disappointing
that
they
didn't
make
any
effort
to
help
resolve
the
matter,
considering
the
hotel
was
fully
booked
during
our
stay,
and
they
incurred
no
losses.
Regrettably,
we
ended
up
losing
nearly
$500.
The
manager's
response
to
our
concerns
about
the
stay
was
dismissive,
blaming
the
warm
weather.
However,
the
temperature
didn't
exceed
75°F
throughout
our
visit.
I
can
only
imagine
how
warm
the
room
would
have
been
in
the
height
of
summer
In
conclusion,
our
stay
at
the
Yeatman
was
disappointing.
