It’s been a dream to swim with dolphins since a child and this place has made it come true! The trainer was courteous, had good energy, and kept us laughing. Instructions were simple and dolphins performed with remarkable grace! This is a great attraction for those looking for a change in adventure and golden memories! Make sure you add this to your cart in Punta Cana!

My son and I enjoyed this experience so much! The sting ray was a big surprise bcuz we were only expecting dolphins. I had difficulties with snorkling. But, overall the program and services was great and amazing!

The dolphins were awesome. The staff was experienced and knowledgeable. We had a great time. Ask the price of photos before the experience, they were pricey. Overall great experience.

Overall we had a great time! I am giving a 4 star just simply for the reason of having to wait as long as we did after checking in.We thoroughly enjoyed our experience once it actually started. So, upon arrival we were given our bracelets and instruction of where to wait for the trainers so we went and had a seat. Roughly an hour later someone came around with a clipboard for us to sign our names and we did...another 30 minutes passed (and we timed it 🤣) before we were taken to get life vests. Then things started to love along. Once we got with our trainer Pedro we had a blast!! He was excellent interacting with everyone and the dolphins are well trained. I personally was in heaven, interacting with dolpjins has always been a bucket list item for me ✔️! They are even more beautiful in person than I imagined. The crew shared facts with us throughout the experience which was fun to learn a little while having fun. Carlos was our photographer and did a great job capturing our memorable moments. We definately enjoyed ourselves but thought the whole process could use a little more structure and maybe interaction from the staff to kind of know what to do throughout the experience. We read alot of reviews before booking and this one was the only one we found that came to our resort so we went with them. Pedro, the other trainer (sorry I didn't catch his name) as well as Carlos were fantastic! They made our experience! 😁

We had a great time swimming with the dolphins here. Like most reviews say the picture prices border on insanity and you can't take your own pictures. At the beginning they did offer to upgrade us to the royal swim and get pictures for less than what it cost to get pictures at the end. It's worth it if you want the pictures, but I suggest everyone boycott and maybe they will lower the prices in the future. We also had to wait an hour for our ride back to our hotel. Never found out what happened but we had to talk with the staff multiple times to get something going.

It is not cheap if you buy the pictures but the actual Dolphin Experience was a bucket list for us and well worth it. Easy in, not much of a wait, very friendly staff and what fun being up close and personal with those adorable critters! Added bonus, great Fried Shrimp, the batter made it an unexpected food highlight of our Punta Cana trip.

The experience with the dolphin was good and the person who worker with us was kind and very knowledgeable about his work. The problem was that they didn't allow us to take pictures with our cell phones, not even one. We were not allowed to carry our cell phones because it was mandatory to use the services of one photographer of their crew. There were two pictures or three for each person, including the little girls of 2 and 5 years old respectively. At the end of the activity we had to pay for the photos and the total cost was $350.00 dollars and they said they did a discount for the little girls. That was an excessive amount of money for two pictures of each person. We were 7 adults and just wanted to keep a memory of our experience with the dolphins. We had already paid the day we arrived at the airport $620.00 which included two excursions: one to the boogies and the other one with the dolphins at that pool that we went today (Discovery park with dolphins at Bavaro) In both excursions we paid a lot of money, and we also bought souvenirs and gave money to the residents and excursions guides because we wanted to do it as a present for their hard work. But nobody told us that we will need to pay $350.00 if we want to keep a memory of our experience with the dolphins, that amount of money was mandatory as a package if we want to have a picture as a memory of that trip. Why didn't they explain that to us from the beginning when we booked the tours. Sounds like a lies to us, so we are now very disappointed.

We had a great time, my daughter really wanted to do this but had to have a paying adult to be able to do it so I went with her, we spent an hour with 2 dolphins. Pictures are very pricey after spending that much already that is my only reason for giving a 4 star. The staff were great and very knowledgeable.

Def worth the visit. They have a few packages. One is just get in the water with Dolphins. No touching. We did the package where the Dolphin pushed you on the boogie board around pool. You hot to touch them and also swim with the dolphin around the pool. The high end package is with 2 Dolphins. If you are looking to do it this is a great place to go.

Beautiful animals and a lot of fun but I have to give 2 stars only because I don’t appreciate it that for $100 per person I’m not allowed to take a photo with my own photo and they charge $40 per photo. I mean what’s the criteria behind the price per photo? I’m sure that if they tried one day only to charge less per photo they’d be way for profitable and a lot more people would leave happier. I guess they are just trying to capitalize on tourism without a proper customer service.

My wife and daughter loved it but many around me were disappointed in the lack of information regarding how pictures work. If you are prepared going into it you will not be disappointed. Make sure to pay for the picture package before you start the dolphin experience. It is much cheaper that way. I would also recommend don’t cheap out and go for the royal swim as it is worth every penny especially if you have kids. One star removed due to lack of communication about where to go and how things will work but then again this seems to be a common issue in the DR. You have to ask three different people before you can be reasonably sure you have been given the right info

Such a great experience! The handlers worked so well with the dolphins! Pictures came out great! It is pretty pricey, but it was definitely worth it! You cannot take your own pics, but the pics they take are great!

Let me start with the good part: being in the water with the dolphins was great. A boogie board where the dolphins push you, then your holding on to their fins and they pull you through the water. Picture ops with the dolphin kissing you. Now to the bad part. The rest wasn’t even mediocre. We booked the dolphin trip in our hotel. Since we didn’t have enough USD, we paid by credit card in the parking lot of the tour start. The exchange rate was 6% higher that what it actually is. Then we got charged a 5$ transportation fee per guest (for the 30 min boat ride where they blasted their music super loud). All weird. Then after the the dolphin encounter we had to wait for over an hour to get the boat ride back. No info. You just sit there and wait as the boat is picking up the next group. During the wait, they seriously tried to sell you the pictures for a whooping $160 for two people in the pics. What a joke. And to finish the review, the place looked like nothing in the pictures. We were out in the ocean in a structure with an underwater fenced area for the dolphin. I normally don’t write bad reviews. In this case I feel compelled to simply provide our experience for others to perhaps ask questions beforehand. That was our mistake. Clueless tourist hoping for the best.

The Dolphin interactions were amazing and would be hard to fine anywhere else however the information we were given was wrong that we would have 2 hrs after to play and we did not get to enjoy the rest of the park as they said the last transport was at 1 pm and you spend a lot of time being sold photos that cost more than the experience. The water park looked fun but I did not get to experience it. You get about an hour with the dolphins which was nice. Kids loved it 2,6 and 8. My 6 yr old was able to ride the dolphin due to height limits I think it was 48”.

Had a blast with my family and kids aged 10,5, and 4. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pictures are on the pricey side but if you pick out only the best ones you'll be fine. Highly recommend. Book in advance.

The trainers were absolutely amazing. Not only was it fun with the dolphins but they made it extra special for my family. Best excursion we have taken thus far. All staff there were so nice and helpful. Very clean place. We didn't want to leave!

Booked through Amstar through our hotel. Didn't like that Amstar rep didn't fully explain the details on what to expect. From arriving to actually getting in the water to see the dolphins was probably about 45 mins. Too long when we have a 3 year old ready to go since leave the resort. Too unorganized. You check in and they send you to the outside patio are and say to wait 15 mins but it's more like 25. Nobody tell you anything. There was a pool and kids mini water park/ play area that our son wanted to go to but we kept telling him be couldn't because we thought they were gonna come get us sooner, but they didn't even let us know if we were allowed to let him on the area because it looks like locals come to this place to enjoy the water park. By the time the came, we were just as frustrated as our toddler. The experience was OK. We expect more of swimming around and mingling with dolphins. But instead they line you up on the edge of a pool in different groups and everyone does they're activity individually. Process is too long and unorganized. We paid 300 for 3 of us and would say it was NOT WORTH IT. Then an top of that they charge INSANE prices for pictures. $40 PER PICTURE or $80 per person for fully digital set. They expect us to pay nearly $300 just for pictures AFTER already paying $300. NOPE. Wouldn't recommend. Only did 2 stars since at least we can say we touched a dolphin. But we were ready to get back to our hotel after we were done. Too long of wait time for such a short time of personal experience.

Nice experience to encounter and swim with dolphins! But we can’t take pictures or videos . They have their personal photographer . But they charge too much for picture.. 140$ for two people . Wow 😯 that is expensive for only pictures..

The dolphins were simply amazing. It’s great for families. I chose this location because it’s endorsed by Association of Zoos and Aquariums. I like going to a place knowing that the animals are receiving quality care and facilities are held to high standards. I do think there is room for improvement in how the experience is managed with photos. Instead of the staged photos, it would have been great to substitute just simple photos. My husband and I would have preferred to get a simple, more organic photo of us with the dolphins in lieu of the posed photos. It was a bit disappointing as we did this as part of our honeymoon and felt that this would have been better for documenting our trip. I believe the “Romantic Encounter” allows you to do more of this, but we thought the Royal package sounded more fun and it was more in our price range. Photos are pretty pricey as well, so we did not end up purchasing any. The customer support call center also had some technical issues. Whenever we were put on hold, we would get disconnected. We called multiple times and finally had to tell them to not place us on hold. Our original reservation was affected by the tropical storm. We never received the email (checked spam etc.) and had we not called back, we would not have known the details for our rescheduled reservation, including an earlier time of day.

While I wish that I could give this excursion more stars because it is an awesome experience, the cost to get your photographs was really disheartening, and took away from the experience. The dolphins were well trained and watching them interact with us and their trainer was really cool. You also never really knew how fast they can go. It was nature at its finest, and despite not being in the ocean, it was still a wonderful site to see and experience. The facility took lots of photos, which is how you remember and treasure times like this. Unfortunately, this was almost comparable to a scam. I literally paid $40 US dollars for one photo. It would have cost my friend and I $80 a piece to receive all of the photos that they took. There were some photos that we didn’t like so it’s not worth paying for all of them, but those were literally the only 2 package options available to us. It would have been nice if they would have at least allowed us to go half on the photos, but they were only willing to sell you your individual photos, and they were not willing to compromise or negotiate. The excursion was already $150, so to price the photos at the amounts that they chose really isn’t fair to us as patrons. Definitely worth the visit, but just budget in the cost of the photos so that you actually have something to remember from the experience.

Swimming with the dolphins was great. You are not allowed to take pictures . I had three kids and it cost $40 per child for each pictures. I didn’t get not one memory of anything because I could not afford 3 pictures. If I had known before I would not have been there. Would not recommend.

Being in the water with the dolphins was a dream. We paid for having 2 dolphins figuring we would get more time with them. But it was too crowded, especially when you “snorkeled” with the sharks way to many people you could barely put your head in the water without being kicked by someone else trying to look. All the staff was very nice. BEST mamajuana !!!!!!

Worth every penny to see my teenager smile! Pay the extra and ride with a dolphin. The caretakers are gentle and help you get comfortable with the animal. Shakira the dolphin was our favorite! Easy to shuttle to and from our hotel

I had a great time. I was nervous but John and Ariel were very nice and helpful .Pedro the tour guy was nice too The only thing I didn’t like was they need a better picture taking service and better pricing and options for that amount they were charging you would think they would print out the pictures for you put it in frames magnets etc

  • 5/5 Michelle B. 3 years ago on Google
Went there for free, certificates were given to us in my resort for my daughter's birthday. The water slides were closed and the kiddo pool in one side was in construction. We waited 30 minutes in seating area. We were 4 people and the only ones in the group with the Dolphins, we were lucky. No cameras or pictures allow. They take the photos for you for a cost of $200 - $250.

  • 4/5 Carlo legacy J. 2 years ago on Google
It was great experience for the kids. Unfortunately could not give five star because the water park are only open on Friday through Sunday. We get like outlet kids had better time at the park than the dolphins experience. Beware of extra cost and no photos they are serious. We saw a person meltdown because she was not allowed to take pictures with her phone. People it was their rules and peony are watching especially kids. So it was not a great experience for my kids. And if you pay through your resort they have a 3 hour window if you quit stay longer you have to get a cab pay extra. So be aware of the time. I recommend you get there early and stay longer. Don’t go through the resort package deal. Get a cab and buy your tickets and cab home. It would be cheaper.

I couldn’t say enough about how great this excursion was. We bought the pictures with the excursion and they where awesome. The trainers made sure that we all got time with the dolphins touching them, even the dolphin pushing us on a board. I’ve always had a love for dolphins, I was concerned that they may be mistreated for them to perform with us. But the trainers showed loved and compassion for them. Highly recommend this excursion.

Great place loved the royal swim. Only downfall is if you want pictures bring a lot of extra cash! You're not allowed to take pictures and if you don't want to pay $40 for one pic, well, bring a small fortune!

  • 5/5 Anthony T. 2 years ago on Google
Place was fantastic. Highly recommended. Interactions with the dolphins is great. You can't take pictures which is a bummer and photos will be pricey. Purchase your picture digitally to save money.

We had a great time here. Trainers were nice, Dolphine were well behaved and made it a very nice experience for all 9 of us. Pictures were very expensive 1 photo for $40 and they didnt allow you to take ur own pictures so u are forced to purchase their pictures to capture the experience.

Very good expérience, if you want pictures you have to pay 40 $ for one or they give à package for 60$ you have all the pictures and extra swimming tome with the Dolphin...

This was a wonderful experience for my daughter and I. The pool was beautiful and clean. The group instructor was fun and shared a lot about the dolphins. There is a gift shop and food place with decent prices. There is a water park but my daughter did not get to play. The prices of the pictures are ridiculously expensive. The quality of the pictures are great though.

  • 4/5 Maria H. 2 years ago on Google
While the experience was pricey it was very cool. Loved being able to see the dolphins first hand. While the pictures were expensive they are worth getting given this is a once in a lifetime experience. My only request is that this facility only offer the explorer option where you just touch and meet the dolphins vs the swimming options which is more having dolphins pull you on their fins around or push you on a boogie board. I feel it was wearing out the skin on their beaks/mouths. Also I am suspicious as we supposedly had GOYA the dolphin who was a boy. The instructor had called him by a different name at first. Then later on I come to find out that Goya is supposed to be a girl. So they are just using any old dolphins and assigning them the names of their main “characters”. Wonder what happened to the real Goya who is a female not the male we swam with.

  • 5/5 dianekb B. 2 years ago on Google
This was 100% well worth every penny. Even the videos and the pictures they want you to buy afterwards. That were ridiculously expensive. This is a full day excursion, be prepared. Sea lions, feeding birds, eating. However, they were actually out of food by the time we got there. This place was attached to a beautiful beach. The time spent with the dolphins is well over an hour. The staff was respectful and friendly. This was definite to do for everyone of all ages.

  • 1/5 Elise M. 2 years ago on Google
Terrible they wanted $160 for 1 photo as it was a family shot they charge per person in photo so for 1 photo with my husband and my 1 and 2 year old they wanted $160 so disgusting! makes no sense! I’ve read the reviews of other people saying it’s so expensive and they say it’s based on the market of what they charge! No one at all charges per person in the photo that is what you call a huge CON!! Also felt unsafe in pool with dolphins, the trainer was so young a boy not experienced who kept asking just to bring him back a tip and dolphins were all cut up in small pool felt very cruel I feel bad I participated. I’ve done this years ago In Punta Cana also but in the sea enclosure and it was much better! This was a complete Waste of money! Mini water park that is there doesn’t open till 11 which is no good when your finished with dolphins at 9.15 and your meant to wait around doing nothing but looking at expensive photos or buying over priced food. Please don’t waste your money i wish I hadn’t!

  • 4/5 Daniel E. 2 years ago on Google
The experience itself is incredible, and the trainers are amazing. Just be sure you eat beforehand because the cost of food on-site is egregious. Also, there's very little guidance until you're actually in the water, so ask for as much direction as possible.

So much fun with the kids! Dolphin and their trainers were amazing! Had a great time and learned so much! Kids couldn’t believe they were swimming with dolphins! Loved it!

The dolphins are very beautiful and so smart and i liked the whole program but the money for one picture is unbelievable-40 dollars per picture hahah... they are joking with the tourists. No cameras and phones were allowed and nobody informed us. Really disappointed

  • 2/5 Sunil G. 2 years ago on Google
Great experience with the dolphins, the trainers are great with them. A huge let down is you cannot take your own pics and then are forced to pay $40 a picture if you want any memories of the day. We ended up paying $200 for all our pictures to download and having 6 printed pictures. Had no option but to pay this price on top of the $100 per person just for the experience.
