Im Sommer 2018 machten wir Urlaub in der COOEE-Anlage bei Las Galeras auf Samana. Direkt am Strand befindet sich das Informationshäuschen und das Boot des Herrn Kaio. Er hat in der Bucht, etwas am Rand, in Eigenarbeit ein künstliches Riff geschaffen und gegen eine Gebühr von 15 US Dollar zeigt er persönlich seine traumhafte Unterwasserwelt. Seine Fische lieben ihn und er liebt seine Fische. Während des einstündigen Schnorchelgangs ist man permanent umkreist von den schönsten und buntesten Fischen. Die Verstecke seiner besonderen Schützlinge kennt er natürlich ganz genau und mit ein paar Köderfischen lockte er zwei Muränen aus ihren Höhlen hervor, zeigte uns einen Feuerfisch und mehrere Kugelfische und vieles mehr. Am frühen Nachmittag durchqueren meist ein paar Adlerrochen das Areal. Es ist ein traumhaftes Erlebnis. Herr Kaio ist ein sehr netter alter Herr, der sich viel Mühe gibt, diesen Lebensraum zu pflegen und interessierten Schnorchlern zu zeigen. Es ist auch für Nichtschwimmer geeignet, da die Wassertiefe etwa brusthoch ist. Er verleiht auch kostenlos eine komplette Schnorchelausrüstung und Schwimmwesten. Auch für Kinder ist dieser Ausflug nicht gefährlich. Man befindet sich ständig in unmittelbarer Nähe des Bootes und Erwachsene könnten dort stehen. The owner of this wonderful place insisted on me coming back this morning and although I was sceptical and didn’t want to get seasick again I came back. Thank god i did. It was one of the most beautiful experiences I have ever had. The guide is so lovely and funny I just can recommend everyone to do this. It’s an experience you won’t forget! However do not eat anything before otherwise you end up like me seasick .... 😍😍😍😍😍😍
