I'm amazed by their service! I didn't expect the staff to speak some English. I've never seen a better service than theirs, seriously. The place reminds me of an American diner. The way it looks. The food was very good and it's a old and traditional place I've read. The cuban sandwich was delicious, but I think it could be a bit more salty to enhance the flavor. I highly recommend it.

If you stay for long time in the capital of Dominican Rep, than you feel tired of all the high priced and overwhelmed restaurants in the 5* hotels and tourist traps ... than you look for a real basic restaurant, one which is famous for the local cuisine and where you can get the basic meal as fast and good as possible for good price. Than you are right at this restaurant. But at the regular lunch time the restaurant is a little bit overcrowed, you need wait ... but than the meal is there complete! Enjoy it! Other things to know: yes, there are parking lots, and they have a bus stop too. They have take-away-food too. The ambient in the back is more good than in the very busy front store. The meal is very local cuisine, with no extras or you can order all you want with an extra plate. Good and excellent!

Amazing buffet of food. You will get a lot. One plate for rice, another for meat etc. Don't be surprised if you have at least 3 plates of food. The third for me was pasta. Went there twice and each time I had to get a to-go box, since I couldn't finish it in one sitting.

If you’re trying to discover and understand traditional Dominican food. I do believe this is the best place to do that. I am not Dominican. However, this place always delivers quality. Try the San Concho, Chicarrones, habichuela and more. Great service also.

The first time here, my impression was like this is the local favorite please to dine. The atmosphere was great the service was great and the food was tasty. There were various types of food also with deserts. I highly recommend dinning here.

My favorite place to go to eat in Santo Domingo. Food is great, you can seat outdoors on inside both are great choices. They have so many choice to eat and the sweets are great.

Top of the class local food for reasonable price. Excellent staff, good service. Big seating area. Barman mixes great cocktails and alcoholic drinks variety is unlimited. Oh, did I mention the market section with top cheeses, cold cuts, bakeries and birthday cakes. This is where locals like to dine in & take out. Forget about near by expensive restaurants cause they are not worth it.

I had the chicken fajitas and was really good. Not your normal ones like in USA. They were delicious.

The food wasnt good it was merely edible , the desserts were great though, the service was also pretty poor. I think if you just need a place to eat and it has to he here or you love desserts sure go otherwise between the microwaved food of questionable quality and the poor service it's a definite skip. I would recommend just walking in and buying from the desserts counter though

Villar Hermanos it's good for takeout only. It's just an average lunch restaurant. Very loud all the time because of the amount of people and tables with limited space. The service to dine in it's NOT even decent, the servers don't even ask you if everything it's okay or of you need o want to order any other thing. They take your order and if it came it came if it doesn't come they seem not to care about it. It's always very busy and the servers are very distracted they forget your food your drinks, they do not bring the food for one table all together, some people may be eating and another person's food may come 15 mins later or just not come at all. Also, they completely forget if you have an allergy or dietary restrictions. They always have mistakes on the check, it happens every time I go there!

Awesome restaurant with some delicious Spanish food so much variety to choose from the menu, family or solo the location has a great atmosphere outdoor dining. It does get very busy during lunch time so come in advance and there is parking lot available for customers here.

Their options were vast and very flavorful. They also have a dessert side that has amazingly blissful treats. The service was fast and professional throughout the dining experience. There were six of us, and the bill was very affordable.

We placed an order the food came over an hour later. The food was somewhat average. The staff seems lost and the service is very slow. They even took their time to bring the bill. I suggest they get a manager who is on top of the employees so they can provide a prompt service.

Always a quick decent place to eat buffet style or a la carte , the pork belly chicharon is great and the fish filet. Good fresh juices and baked goods . Good pricing.

This was truly a Domincan Republic local's upper-mid tier restaurant. So many options served cafeteria style where you pick what you want, they plate it, and charge by the quantity/weight. Quite a long walk from where I was staying, but good enough I went out my my way to return.

good food, but very long wait time…

So I had a very special day so decided to come to this restaurant with my family to celebrate the worst idea ever. The place was little hectic and quite busy we waited for more than an hour to be seated they completely ignored us and forgot we was waiting to be seated they were seating people that came after us so my family and I decided to grab a table because they weren’t planning to seat us whatsoever. The waiters saw us seated didn’t bother to bring us the menu we had to beg them to bring us the menu so many red flags but we still decided to stay 😅 ok so he brought us the menu we knew what we wanted to order and drink in less than 5 mins. We told waiter that we were ready to order he said hold on I’ll be right back took him 15 mins to get back to us 🙄. Red flags number???? 🤣 we placed our order at 2pm on the dot it was 3:00pm and our order never came the waiter never placed our order because he came and saw we didn’t had our food . He left and didn’t show up so we decided to get up paid for the drinks and left . Is damn buffet food was made already why take so long never had bad experience in any restaurants here in Dominican Republic till this day we arrived at 1pm and left 3:07 with no food 2 small kids that were so hungry the staffs here are terrible and no customers services whatsoever. They need to trained the staff better . Or put woman’s to take orders

They have a nice buffet style and a la cart. We went with a la cart area. Everything was tasty and promptly served. Excellent service and very reasonable prices for delicious seafood. Drinks were well prepared and the place is clean and well managed. Nice environment with small rooms to provide a cozy atmosphere. Sorry no pictures of the food but the presentation was good and portions were ample. Parking available and attendant watches for your peace of mind. Edy served us very well (kudos). Definitely recommend.

Food is good but the place is chaotic. They only have one register and lots of people frequent this place. If it was a bit more organized, it would be a decent place for lunch or dinner. During my first visit, the food was amazing. My second visit consisted of cold snapper and I don't like cold fish. Otherwise, it's not too bad of a place for your nourishment needs.

Very nice traditional local cuisine, good atmosphere, good catering. We don't speak much Spanish but with a little knowledge from tourist guide books they understood us and were happy to serve us. They have a good variety on food for dining in and also for to go. I warmly recommend it!

Our family of 13 visited this restaurant for lunch on August 8th. The food was good but unfortunately the service is was less than even acceptable. Food was served cold not once but twice. The cold food was returned and the manager Jesus insisted that we pay for the food not consumed! Do not go to this restaurant.

I would pass on this restaurant. I'm sure there are better places. I ordered fish, veggies, and beans and rice. The fish was cold and the veggies were not fresh. The beans and rice were very good. The service was fast. I would only return for the beans and rice.

Ate here with family twice! Get the cerdo guisado, or the mofongo. They were both so good and they put crispy bits of fried pork or chicken inside of the mofongo.

If you want to try authentic Dominican cuisines, this is a great place to go to. All the food was very tasty, the staff helpful and everything reasonably priced. Even after eating so much, had the Sancocho which was delicious. Can understand why this place is so popular.

👍👍 The venue is very cute, the view on the ocean is spectacular. The staff was super friendly this day. The food was really good and arrived extremely fast. I had Mofongo (So delicious) and Sancocho (very good)! The only pros was the dessert.
