It's a big store with multiple departments. There can find supermarket, home appliances store, furniture, toy store, etc. Have a lot of stuff. Plaza Lama is very famous on the country to make shopping.

If someone buys from that store a sofa or a chair needs to pay delivery charges because they tell you that their warehouse site is far away and they do not keep merchandise at the store just to make pay thousands for delivery.

Below average product selection for a store of this size, also the elevators haven't been working for a while but they aren't marked as unavailable, many of the lockers for leaving your bags outside are broken as well, the price checkers aren't working and displaying the default Android GUI instead... None of this is what I'd expect from a store like Plaza Lama. Really disappointing shopping experience.

This place remind me of Kmart or some sort of big mega department store like back in the states. It’s interesting place to take a visit and shop here, downstairs there a supermarket it’s decent and main ground floor is furnished and clothing etc. Elevator is available and parking too, price at this location is decent.

Worst place to go for home appliances. Stay AWAY! Support and warranty claim processes are extremely against the client. I bought an AC that was not working and even after going about 10 times to the maintenance office , it was not fixed. I had to go to Proconsumidor to get the money back Do NOT go. Many other alternatives with way better service and respect toward clients .

Huge store, lots of Products but not great customer service is not Awful but it can be better.

I am truly amazed that this place is called a department store because I see it as a football field size mall. I went to pick up some wired money transfered at Caribe Express and I received the money I started walking around and by the time I was done I stopped at a few stores inside this department store And then I went to the second floor to the eatery (75%) of my funds was spent. This place has a lot of elbow room it was packed {Saturday} but enough space not to bump into people. The places I stopped to buy the employees were friendly and helpful. If you plan on receiving money from Caribe Express pack your Lunch because they only have three (3) tellers period and the line was from here to New York. Get my point!!

Good prices, affordable stuff. Quality depends on prices of course. You can buy both big brands appliances and cheaper alternatives as well. Toy section is limited and clothing is quite generic and on the general quality, low price end.

Plaza Lama is a great 1 stop-shop in S.D. for whatever you might need for your home. Its like a combined Meier-HomeDepot-& furniture retailer. Also great for hard to find items in the Dominican Republic! Sorry Amazon!

A very large department store selling everything from clothing to electrical goods and furniture plus a supermarket. In reality there is very little in the way of goods that you will not find here under one roof. The vast range does however result in a slightly confusing feel with a multitude of not very well defined sections that takes a little bit of getting used to. Prices are very competitive, particularly for electrical goods.

This place sells everything almost like Walmart. From electronics to furniture, etc... I didn't know how to use the safety locker outside, since you can't bring your own bag in.
