Gorgeous Art Deco ambiance, attentive bilingual service, and some of the best brisket I've ever had. Food was uniformly excellent, desserts were creative and delicious. The menu is an odd modernist melange of Louisiana, continental South America, and the DR, but it somehow all works. Lionfish alongside jambalaya, tomates de árbol on pork cannelloni, and foams of tropical fruits on their tiramisu. A little pricey but it feels well justified.

A firework of great taste, it's hard not to walk into the kitchen and personally shake the cooks hand, thanking them for the privilege of eating their food. Even if you only fly to DomRep to eat at this restaurant it's worth the trip. Best value for money I've ever had!

I went there with my fiancé, our family and business associates.Apparently they have a dress code. We were not advised prior the reservation, nor was it on the confirmation. However everyone was dress well and looked great for dinner. The hostesses asked if we knew about the dress code we said no. She then proceeds to publicly singled out my mother and embarrassed her. This was unnecessary, disrespectful and unprofessional. Embarrassing customers is not the way to handle a dress code violation if that was the case which was not. Even our business associates felt uncomfortable and advised they would not return again. We also reached out to the restaurant advising of the incident. This is the worst part. At first they apologized and offered a free meal on them. Then they deleted the message, retracted the apology and blocked us. This is completely unethical and unacceptable. I have over 10 years experience in hospitality, frequently do fine dining internationally as well, and I understand situation occur. However the way this situation was absurd. I have never experienced such humiliation and unethical responses from management. Okra does not fit fine dining standards. If you seek real fine dining service, I highly recommend go elsewhere.

Good service, Creative cusion and Autehtic Arab style decoration even though it's more focused on Creole and Cajun cusine. But menu plate look very humble just with paper, and needs to be improved.

What a perfect mix of flavors and cultures. "Pastelitos" is a perfect starter and Hungary Goulash is an amazing experience. Goulash is a must in Okra. I wish I had more days to try more. Food takes a little bit of time but completely worth it.

Firstly, for anyone that is reading this, I’d like to shed some light in the kind of establishment this is. They lack fine dining etiquette, and would rather block my comment than correct their staff and take full responsibility. We were on a business dinner, and the hostess singled out my mother/business partner on their attire in front of the prospective clients. It made everyone uncomfortable, and it was the focal point for most of the dinner. I reached out to address the matter, and initially offered an apology and complimentary dinner due to the inconvenience. Nonetheless, they immediately backtracked, blocked my account, and all the messages have since disappeared. I urge this restaurant to be professional, ethical, and to advise rules and dress code prior to arrival. At the very minimum, provide this information in their website. This could have been handled in a professional manner, instead of publicly humiliating a paying customer. -Claudia

Okra is a world class restaurant, the experience is amazing from beginning to end, from the beautiful house like decoration and the warm ambiance to the outstanding service and the amazing food.

Amazing place in Santo Domingo!!! The food was just outstanding, from La Isla featuring locally "twisted" appetizers to the Truffled Ravioli and Marchanta drink, everything was perfect with the dishes and drinks guidance and explanation.

Okra is a unique culinary experience. The ambiance is elegant and soothing. The staff was gifted in explaining/teaching us about every dish, once it arrived at our table. The presentation of every dish is a work of art, making it almost a sin to eat it. However, o e we took the first bite, we knew t y at sinning was just the right thing to do. We are forever grateful to our frie ds for inviting us to one of the most unbelievable culinar experiences we've ever had.
