Great setting, fantastic food, great wine selection, service could be improved.

Yesterday a friend I had not seen for many years recommended me to go to the steakhouse called Turo. It took me 11 minutes to walk from the hotel. Just entering and seeing the cars parked, you knew it a luxurious restaurant. The owner has also a Spaniard restaurant, that will have to try in my next visit. The service was fast and the preparation excellent. For the wine lovers, they had a variety of wines from many parts of the world. I found that prices in general in Dominican Republic are higher than average and comparable to Chile.

The food at this restaurant is very good, they have a fairly extensive menu that covers different tastes and not just beef as it is a steakhouse. The wine list is very good, as is their cocktails. The trio of sausages (bring blood sausage), truffled chips, ribeye, grilled vegetables, striploin are excellent, to name a few. The place is quite spacious and decorated in an elegant way without being too pretentious. An adult atmosphere during the week and more family-friendly during the weekends. Recommended for business meetings, etc.

Really nice restaurant , the meat perfectly cooked and good taste. We took Churrasco and Tomahawk. And I recommend the Empanadas.

Very sofisticated restaurant, in the most upscale neighborhood of Santo Domingo. Specialized in grilled meet with a wide variety of wines. I tried the grilled veal chop and it was amazing. As an entry we tried the charcuterie and the trio of morcilla, chistorra ans salchicha. Strongly recommended for a business diner or personal event also. 2nd time at Turo. Again excellent experience. Service was flawless and the food perfect. We ordered a cheese and iberico jamón as entry, a Cornish Hen Al carbon and a rack of lamb. All was super delicious.

One of the best dining experiences I've had in the DR. Everything from the arrival to the very last part of our meal had the highest of standards in terms of customer service and the quality of the food. They have a wide variety of wines, Spanish ham (jamón ibérico), steaks, their menu is just exquisite. I highly recommend this place.

I visited this place on June 7th 2022 The place was walking distance from my hotel. It is located in a nice and safe area. I got there early, around 7:00 and there only a few tables but around 9:00 the place was crowded. Nice and fancy ambience overall. Service it’s OK. This was my first time in Santo Domingo and I found out that service is average everywhere. The food was great! I ordered some Rib Eye Empanadas, a steak and a side of mushrooms. Everything cooked to perfection. You can tell they have high quality ingredients, portion size are big enough. The only opportunity for me being Mexican, is to offer salsa variety for the steak. For drinks I had a Medalla, you can’t yo wrong here, and a mezcal drink. It was really good. Place is pricey but you get what you pay. Is worth trying.

Excelente!!!! Excellent service food and environment. Great place to just sit down and enjoy a drink and or smoke on their patio. Their indoor dining area is one of the most beautiful in all of Santo Domingo and the quality of the food can’t be beat

What a great way to spend the last night in DR. Reminds me of NYC steakhouses. Came on a quiet week day to enjoy a nice dinner with wine. Quickly seated but took a while to get a menu. After waving for service, a man in a suit appeared, greeted us and placed our orders. The burrata was soft, flavorful and presented well with fig and prosciutto. The short rib empanadas were quite tasty, wish they were bigger ! Dinner was fresh fish with side veggies and Tbone with maduros ( sauce & marscapone was way too sweet) the cornbread was a bit oily so not enjoyed. Wine was good the mojitos were well made. Would consider coming back. **Valet parking available but very rough with being in a hurry to drive vehicles to the owner.

The best steak house in town. Really good aged cuts that are not in the menu. Recommend it to Go and choose your favorite one. Service was a bit pretentious but still okay since the restaurant is very famous. We ordered Bellota Ham and it was very hard, not soft and tasty at all. We never understood why, since they have it there not in the fridge.

Food was amazing. The meat quality was great. I have heard that many places in the capital give priority to white/light skin people and can discriminate against darker people but I didn't pay any mind to it because my husband and I have never had any bad experiences at Cava (one of my favorite restaurants in the capital), however, here the waiter did not come to our table to ask if we needed anything even though he was asking other tables. Also, we saw some white people come in and saw the Moso saying hi to them ( he obviously knew them) so the Moso took our waiter and started serving them right away leaving us hanging. We had to ask a different waiter to bring us the dessert menu and nobody seemed to care if we needed more drinks or if everything was well. All the attention was on the white people's table. Sadly, it is a thing in the capital. If you are a person of darker skin definitely stay away, there are better restaurants that will appreciate your business with them and treat you with respect.

One of the best places in Santo Domingo where you can eat the best meats and cuts. Also the best international dishes. Excellent service from the parking lots and all the people who serve.

Amazing food. Best salmon I've had so far in the country. Very tender and juicy steak. Welcoming and enticing atmosphere.

Food was great, great as a steakhouse! I tried their hummus and didn't like it at all. But their steak is fabulous!!! Professional service. What I am missing from the Atmosphere is the concept. Didn't like the menu design, the tableware didn't have a specific theme. Wall decoration is good.

Great meat restaurant in the center of Santo Domingo. Food quality and preparation is great. Price matches the location and quality. Staff is nice. But the Atmosphere is a bit snobbish. Not too cozy.

I had a reservation for 7 people, we arrived at 8 pm, everything was very nice and good until 8:45 pm, when they took care of us to order the entrees, which by the way were 2 dishes; one of Serrano ham and the other was ordered by my wife who I don't remember the name; the wine very good. From 8:45 pm to 10 pm no one attended us, we finished our wine, which by the way, we served ourselves; A very bad experience, because the restaurant was recommended to me as THE BEST MEAT RESTAURANT IN THE COUNTRY.

Average at best: You will probably get a better meat if you buy it at the butcher shop and cook it yourself… Positive side: the wine list is very well curated and excellent.

Didn't visit much restaurants in DR, but this was amazingly superb 👌 would highly recommend to all friends and family if visiting Santo Domingo, every dish was deliciously tasty, the service was 💯 and the atmosphere was breathe taking!

This is really a 5 starts restaurant. They know what they're doing and they're doing perfect. Charcoal grill, the minimum required for a good grilled meat.

Best steak house ever. Especially the dry-aged meat is just excellent. And Jamon Iberico de Bellota is also genuine. If the aging meat in the cooling room have tags of the the starting date of aging, it would be much better for a choice.

Quality of the meat excellent. Service very attentive. Price is on the higher end but fits the price-performance ratio. Would recommend it to anyone who is willing to pay a little more for quality.

I can say that it is one of the best where I have eaten roast beef the term was perfecro without imported meats Angus really and very tender the amazing atmosphere and the service the large portions i loved i will be back It's not cheap but the food is worth the price
