My husband and I reached out to several resorts and independent wedding planners in the Dominican Republic, and Wicked/Dominican Expert was by far the most responsive and professional service out there. Laura worked with my husband and I for our wedding in Las Terrenas in October 2018, and made our dreams come true! We started our wedding weekend with a welcome beachside lounge and some small plates, then a pool party with small plates and a rum bar the next day, and our wedding on the third day. The day of the wedding, my husband and I just sat back and relaxed while Laura and the Wicked team took the reigns. The decor was beyond anything I could even imagine, and completely wowed me and the guests. The food was absolutely delicious, better than any wedding food I've had in the past, and the cake surpassed my expectations! It was so light and the passionfruit was super fresh. We also booked DJ services and photography through Laura/Wicked. The photographer surprised us during the reception, and almost made us cry with joy :) I can be a perfectionist, and having a destination wedding was difficult because it required me to put faith and trust in Laura/Wicked and their vendors and the decor. I was absolutely in good hands, and I'm convinced no one could have put together a more perfect wedding.

We had more than 80 guests coming from other countries. Dominican expert also helped our guests with hotels, flights, transfers and etc. Our main contact for this part was Lara and Christian , they were always available at any time. Everything was perfect, it was, definitely, much better than what I could have imagined.

We got married in Las Terrenas, Dominican Republic on March 2, 2019. I am originally from the Dominican Republic so I searched and tried many wedding planners / companies before deciding to go with Dominican Expert / Wicked, and I can honestly tell you, you won't find better. They organized our entire wedding and it was perfect. Our specific wedding planner was Laura, who was just incredible! always helpful, always responsive, always polite, just amazing. We could not have had a better experience. For most of our guests the wedding was a Destination wedding (180 guests!) so we started to plan almost 2 years before and throughout that long process, Laura and the whole team were always patient and willing to help us with anything. The Tourism department helped many of our guests to find flights, accommodation and transportation. Our main contacts were Lara and Christian who always made themselves available (even when some flights got delayed and cancelled during the weekend!). The Catering was done by Mi Corazon, a sister company / restaurant owned by the same owners of Wicked / Dominican Expert. The food was just delicious. They were able to combine our cultures into the menu (the groom was Brazilian and I am Dominican). Everyone was super pleased with the result. The decoration, planning and organization were done by Laura. I don’t think we can really find the words to thank her for such an amazing job. She completely understood what we wanted and made it real. All of our guests were amazed with her. She was always able to keep everything under control, always calm, always patient, and give us a sense peacefulness. She truly made all of my wedding dreams come true. We used Dominican Expert / Wicked for everything. They hired all of our vendors: music, sound, lights, food, drinks, EVERYTHING. I always felt like they were willing to get us the best price and quality available. They were able to solve every issue that came up, and always gave us the reassurance we needed. We would recommend Dominican Expert / Wicked to anyone. Our experience was just perfect.

Lara and Sandra were absolutely AMAZING! Although there were some miscommunication during the planning process, Sandra did a great job representing us and getting us the best deals and making sure that we had our dream wedding! Lara was so helpful, sending us updated invoices and quotes frequently during the planning process. A pleasant surprise for us was meeting Lara in person! She was present a during our wedding and helped to ensure that everything was perfect! She even presented us with a cruise on her last day with us! Our wedding was beautiful and everything we were hoping despite the sideways downpour during the ceremony which was also very memorable! Thanks Dominican Experts for such an amazing time!

I have just returned from the Dominican Republic after having the most magical destination wedding planned by Dominican Expert. My now husband is Dominican born and raised, so we knew we wanted a wedding in DR, but needed more help than we could simply get through his connections. At first, I was a bit nervous about having a destination wedding planned by someone I had never met before, and without any firsthand references, but after living through this experience, all my concerns completely vanished and my dreams became a reality. This especially means a lot coming from me because I am an extremely type A, control-freak, detail-focused person. Laura Aybar, my assigned planner, is an angel in human form. She is so sweet, approachable, flexible, patient, calming, organized, detail-oriented, and most importantly, incredibly talented. She was available whenever I needed her and helped me make my dream wedding within my budget, which I didn't think was even possible!!! (I talked to a lot of other planners who made it seem like it wouldn't be possible) All of our guests won't stop talking about how blown away they were by our wedding, and our family members who personally met Laura all raved about how they thought she was wonderful too. The food was excellent, the decor brought me tears of joy, and the coordination made my wedding day stress free. They also helped coordinate group tours and transportation for us for the days leading up to our events. I cannot speak highly enough about how happy I am with my experience with Dominican Experts, which surpassed all of my expectations!! 100% recommend them for your wedding and vacation needs!!!

Let’s start by saying that we fully recommend Dominican Expert as your wedding planner. We had a beautiful and well-coordinated event. A bit about ourselves: we are based in Europe and wanted to have a destination wedding with guests from different parts of the world. We needed a trusted wedding planning agency able to help us plan every detail remotely and fluently in English. Halfway through the wedding preparation, we got a bit of a scare as the wedding planner assigned to us had to go on a medical leave. Luckily, Dominican Export ensured a smooth transition and introduced us to their new hire – Margari. From day one we saw her as a very credible and professional partner to work with. Even though she joined for the last 1.5 month intense planning before our big day, she made sure everything was brought to life in the highest standard possible. Big kudos to her! In order to provide us with even more support and care, the owner himself – Michael – was overseeing the preparations and joined the wedding day. The decoration, including the flowers, was just as expected. Super beautiful, even beyond our original expectations. During the day of the event, the crew reacted quickly to the changing weather conditions, allowing us and our guests to make the most out of the celebration. Again, thanks to the good leadership of Margari and Michael. The big protagonist of Dominican Expert is the food, their chef and catering team are amazing! Before the event, we had a tasting appointment where we had the pleasure to meet the chef and discuss about the food. Absolutely amazing, both during the tasting and during the event. Our guests kept telling us days after the wedding about how good the food was. One tip: We strongly recommend asking the crew, incl. bartenders, to keep all the empty bottles of alcohol so they can be counted at the end. We worked with Sandra at Dominican Expert in planning the International Travel & Health Insurance 2019, hosted in Santo Domingo. Sandra was extremely efficient during the planning stages, always listening to the brief and returning with the most suitable suggestions. Their venue options are wonderful, and the catering service provided is of a very high standard. Our guests were particularly impressed with the food options and live bbq offered at the welcome reception. Nothing was too much trouble for Sandra and we really appreciate her dedication to making the events a success. During the events, she was on site throughout to ensure that everything went to plan. Best Catering in Santo Domingo. We ordered a full business coffee break and lunch catering as well as a Gala Dinner 5 course plated in La Zona Colonial in an old patio with Dominican Expert Catering. JUST DELICIOUS! Our guests were amazed!

Where do I start!! When we started this journey a year ago we only knew we wanted to have a destination wedding in the D.R. From there Wicked Events made sure our wedding was truly a dream come true. From the selection of the perfect villa (Villa Sofia) (Thank you Lara!) to the beach wedding and ending with a beautiful reception by the pool in the villa. It was just amazing!!! My heart is still so full! Sandra was the most amazing coordinator ever. It has been exactly one month now since our wedding in Las Terrenas. It was a dream come true for both my husband and I. It was all thanks for everything that Dominican Expert has executed! Sandra was my wedding planner. We met about two years ago, and after one failed resort...she found us our dream villa to host the wedding. Sandra was there for me through thick and thin, and even handled some minor damage control with my bridesmaids to make sure our wedding was flawless and that I wasn't stressed out at all. She was very prompt and kept everyone on schedule.Everything went smoothly that weekend. We got the exact atmosphere that day, as she anticipated - no rain. The ceremony began and ended with a beautiful sunset. Her staff was elegantly curated as well, they went above and beyond!. The DJ, the staff who setup and cleaned up, and the amazing food that Mi Corazon served...and our delicious coconut vanilla cake! saldy no leftovers.... Long story short - if ever you want to host an event in the Dominican Republic.... Sandra and her team is who to look for. I want to also extend another amazing review to Lara, our travel agent. Had our wedding 2024 at a marvellous beach in the Dominican Republic. Our planner was competent, super nice and tailored everything according to our wishes. Every single detail was planned perfectly and the ceremony including a very personalised wedding speech made it a very special moment.
