We stayed here for a week visiting some family and it was a beautiful. The views are very scenic and calming, the hotel itself is decorated very modern and inviting. This resort also has plenty of activities todo but is also nearby to other tourist attractions in the town. If I had 1 thing that could be better it would be to make the complementary bottled water more accessible. Several times we had to ask multiple times a day for our bottled water and sometimes we got it and other times we didnt. Other than that, overall from our experience I give this hotel 5 stars.

The most important thing to know before you visit this hotel is that they don't have air conditioning in the rooms. Keep that in mind, becauase Ixtapan is a warm weather site and it can get pretty hot. If you can sleep through the heat and noise, then this place is for you.

I loved this hotel! We stay at a lot of Marriott properties as Platinum Members, and this hotel was really pleasant. The staff were so kind and the grounds were extraordinary. We didn’t want to leave the property. Also, the gift shop has some of the most beautiful Mexican arts and crafts that I have seen, and I am an American living in Mexico, so I have seen a lot of amazing “souvenirs”. The pool was lovely. Breakfast was incredible and the entire property felt like an oasis.

I love to go here every time I'm in Mexico is one of my favorites, great price in the area good attention very nice staff all the time ials a very clean hotel. They have the kids' club is very nice area for kids. also a pool for kids and another for adults, indoor pool spa good food in the restaurant

The events and service were really bad, the restaurants also had a really bad service, the COVID-19 protocol in the buffet was non existent, the food presentation was low.

This resort is an easy getaway from Mexico City, Toluca and surroundings. Superb service and attention, lots of amenities for families with young and older kids, large grounds all nested in a semi private area. Even on a rainy day, the activities room with pool tables, table tenis, etc serves as a good alternative to the many outdoor activities. An indoor pool and large kids playroom makes this resort perfect for families with small children. There is even an outdoor amphitheater which seemed to be used for children’s theater (Although is wasn’t been used at the time of my visit). For the grown ups there is a adults only pool by the spa, tenis and basketball court, a bar, Starbucks, etc. The hotel itself it’s a little outdated, and their rooms could use some improvement. Nonetheless, a good value hotel.

Room very. Full of hairs in bathroom floor and towels! Pillow case and towel dirty as well. Mosquito net in Balcony about to drop. Stool in shower in disabled room useless. No hand soap or gel shower neither (container empty) The second day I have to call house keeping again for bottles of water and coffee replacement. At the reception, nobody answered the phone and it's only one person in there. Sometimes not even there! This is not the hotel I used to visit before the pandemic! I would not recommended. Waitresses at buffet breakfast not helpful and food cold. For the price you can do better.

Hotel is great for a quick weekend w the kids, probably the only reason to stay here. I give it 4 stars cause of all the kids amenities otherwise it would be 3 stars for sure. Not sure if any other hotel nearby offers these amenities. Our kids are 4 and 6 years old so for any kids less than 8 it’s a real treat that there’s the following activities. Our kids loved almost every minute of staying at this hotel cause of this stuff —->>> - Bicycle Go Carts - Pirate ship w adjacent playground - Small village w playhouses - Kids pool with 3 foot depth and pirate ship slides is awesome. There is another adult pool so it’s not the same. Marriott pleaseee fix the chipped tiles on the pool floor!!! Rooms are okay as overall hotel is pretty dated, yes noooo AC just ceiling fans. You can hear thru walls and please bring bug spray as mosquitos are everywhere! :/ Coffee bar yessss! Restaurant service is good. Pool house menu is okay but unfortunately only one person works there so it takes a while to get anything :/ But thank you Irene for doing your best!

while I understand that waiting time before checking in is long, this is ridiculous, and it's not only that ever since the pand€m/c they of have focused on getting people's money but not provide them what they promise. And not enough ©0V!d precautions to make up for it either. such a shame that there was such a culture shift focused only on the money to the point it's not even worth 4 stars. I used to like this place

lovely hotel! the rooms are spacious and well maintained. Starbucks @ the lobby from 8AM tasty and inexpensive breakfast @ the restaurant lots of outdoor pools and kids areas has its own chapel and venue for weddings/etc

Stopped here to meet a friend for drinks and simmering to eat. The gift shop is amazing and had many one of a kind items.
