I'm staying here for a week. This is supposed to be my vacation. Writing this review in the middle of the night because the pillows are really hard; I cannot sleep and my neck hurts. I already contacted the front desk. They said they don't have any other pillows. I don't know how I'm going to spend the rest of the week I may change my review and rating if they somehow do a good job and provide better service and softer pillows. Follow up: =========== The guest relations person in the lobby was able to escalate the issue. The new pillows they provided work great for us. I'm so glad the staff came around and could help us out. Thanks a lot to the guest relations and the housekeeping team ! As for the hotel itself, we really like the location. The room we have has a nice territorial view. It's a happening area but we don't really get any noise from the streets - which is a huge plus. Looking forward to the rest of our stay!

I am giving the room 3 stars because of 2 things: 1- the hot water takes few minutes. 2- the door in the bathrooms are making it so tight. Also it would be nice if the front staff acknowledge guests when they walk to the counter to check in or at least make them feel seen. Other than that, the stay was great, breakfast was delicious and staff were amazing with a special shout out to Jesus for arranging a taxi transfer to the airport at 4 am.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times and it never disappoints. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, the service is stellar. The room as always is picture perfect. I want specifically name Patty at Check-In and Jesus, the bellman/porter. The welcome I and my group of friends was amazing! Patty helped schedule a private tour late in the day when we arrived and was so welcoming. Jesus made the stay memorable. His suggestions and assistance throughout the stay is unmatched with any stay I have had anywhere in the world! My only regret is not asking the person who attended to my room her name. She provided incredible service!

Booked 3 nights here and will never return. Its nearly midnight and I'm sitting in their hotel room contemplating booking a room literally anywhere else. Got here on Friday. Immediately noticed the room was really hot and stuffy. Let the ac run for a bit and it never went below 26 (79 Celsius). I requested for someone to check the ac. Someone came to check it and said they would come back. They never came back. Claimed it works. Woke up in the middle of the night drenched in sweat because it was 80 degrees. Reported again on Saturday. No one came to check. It's midnight on Saturday and I can not sleep because it is still 80 degrees. There is no air circulation. The windows do not open. Called the front desk again and nothing is being done. AGAIN. the room we got is in bad order. The floor is warped, the doorway is partially blocked by a wall so may not be accessible for everyone. The door does not lock from the inside. That's a huge safety issue. The front desk said they are fully booked and they have.no other rooms. Meanwhile, I can see online that rooms are available to book. This has literally been the worst stay I have every encountered and I travel at least twice a month. You are better off staying ANYWHERE else in Mexico city.

Only three blocks from the Angel de Independencia this hotel is a great option if you like being in the heart of Mexico City’s nightlife. ALL of the staff I encountered were incredibly friendly and helpful. The shared areas are all well maintained and during my stay I could see various updates being made on my floor. The room was incredibly spacious, and had giant beautiful windows looking out towards Reforma. The walls are thin enough to hear a crying baby, and the large windows allow the sound from the various bars in the area to travel but it’s nothing their complimentary earl plugs won’t block out. Overall incredibly satisfied with my stay.

Absolutely loved this hotel! From the moment my husband and I arrived, the staff was so friendly! We checked in easily, and they brought our bags to the room and showed us how everything functioned. The room was amazing, very clean, very modern. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was amazing. Great water pressure in the rain shower, too! They make sure you have bottled water and coffee every day in the room. We didn't pay for the buffet breakfast, but we ended up eating their breakfast several times during our stay because the food was delicious! You can order off their a la carte menu. The wait staff were SO friendly, and made sure we were happy with everything we ordered. The pool area was a dream! They have a ton of lounge chairs for laying out, as well as couches and chairs in a canopied area in the shade. If you want, you can order drinks/food to the pool area while you are outside. On Saturday, they also set up a little bar area poolside where they made drinks to order. I decided to get a massage one day, and it was the best massage I had of my life. Ana was an amazing massage therapist! I ended up getting another one before we left! Our flight was cancelled the night before we were supposed to leave, and the hotel was very accommodating, let us book another night and stay in the same room. The cleaning staff were also very respectful and attentive. My husband was working a lot in the room, and they always made sure not to disturb, or if we requested they would bring towels and take out the trash. Both bartenders at the hotel bar were SO friendly and made really great margaritas! The location of the hotel is also amazing. So much to do in walking distance from the hotel, and great places to eat! I can't wait to stay here again, and thank you to all the great staff at the hotel for making our stay so great! (end note- the hotel even SMELLS amazing!) Thank you!

I have such mixed feelings about my stay at this hotel. Early check in, although I called two days prior to my arrival about it, was not going to happen because I was told that housekeeping is slow at getting rooms cleaned. Not what a guest wants to hear. So after a long flight and feeling dirty and tired, I wasn't given a room until 2pm. They gave me a one upgrade to a suite from a junior suite that I had booked. The front desk isn't especially friendly or acknowledge you in the lobby. They kind of seem annoyed or not sure of what they are doing as they all huddle around the computer monitors. Could be a language issue, but a smile and a hello goes a long way to make a guest feel appreciated. The room itself was huge, with a sitting area and desk and then the bedroom area and a nice size bathroom area. It had a balcony with 2 chairs and a table. The air conditioner worked great. This suite also had 2 a/c zones. The bed was super uncomfortable as were the hard pillows. I hardly slept. The white towels were gray and hard and hadn't seen bleach in years. The lighting in the bathroom area is awful. They need major wattage increases in the shower and sink area. It was so dark there. I dragged a lamp over to the bathroom, but it gave little help. The shower is as dark as a photographers dark room. I know I was in a Spanish speaking country, but the only two television stations in English were either CNN or Fox News. I would have thought they would have more of an English language selection. The staff in the restaurant were very nice and the food very good for a hotel of this size. The location is good and walking is very easy. Would I recommend this hotel or stay there again? Not sure. There are certainly an abundance of other hotels around to chose from. I think the staff need to polish up on their hospitality personalities and make guests feel as I mentioned before, a bit more appreciated and welcome.

Great location, modern looking lobby and pool area, friendly staff and very helpful. I got a room with balcony with a nice view, unfortunately that side of the building got very noisy at night because a roof top club. The noise was gone at 11pm and didn't have any issue with sleeping but I was willing to change the room. In general I enjoyed my stay.

Overall, Very unhappy with my stay. First, I arrived an hour before check-in, in other hotels there is no issue with checking in early, here, not only did they make me wait until check-in time, but they made me wait another 30 minutes after the check-in time. Additionally, the front desk employee show no empathy or care about the situation. Second, I checked-out a day before the original date. The guy at the front desk said I had to call hotels.com and they would refund me. Hotels.com contacted the hotel and they said I did not check out a day before. Very disappointed with the service except for Don Jesus who was absolutely wonderful.

I am staying 4 nights. I been having a hard time sleeping because the bed is hard and the pillows are terrible. Also, found and killed a roach in the restroom. Housekeeping left some remains of the roach in the restroom. You would think they would completely sweep it up but no.

Reservation booked via American Express Travel included a $100 credit for onsite services. Reception desk on first night explained that this could be use for spa services, but then at check-out the spa was apparently not covered. Hotel facilities and location are ok, within proximity of main avenue Paseo de la Reforma. Recommendation for places to stay near restaurants area would be the Polanco or Roma Norte neighborhoods.

My wife and I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in Dec 2023. The hotel location and the breakfast was good and in general hotel is not bad. But we encountered some difficulties. First night, the bar beside the hotel was too noisy and we had to move to another side of the hotel. The second night was cold and the room didn't have heater. Also the pool was renovating at the time. I complained about these to the staff and they agreed to refund one night as compensation. But I was able to receive the refund after one month of follow up with the hotel and management and explaining my difficulties in the reviews. To sum up, the hotel is nice (ask for a room on the quiet side with heater) and the management tries to solve the guests issues. But the service needs to improve.

Based on the reviews, our expectations were very low, so we are positively surprised and happy with the service and room quality. Yet, we said upfront that we want something quiet since we are in a rather noisy area. We have an upgraded reservation and didn't go for the cheapest option, thus, we also received better options and went for the suit.

Extremely poor service and quality for the price. Pictures of the rooms are an absolute lie in comparison to what it really looks like, seems everything is old and even dirty despite room service probably already did what they could. Customer service at the front desk was terrible too, couldn’t even validate if the payment by my travel agency had gone through so requested me to leave on hold my credit card when being a business travel. I was given the wrong room based on the booking too. Definitely not coming back nor do I recommend to others, you can find much cooler Airbnb’s a bit cheaper.

Very good location, friendly staff and good breakfast. However, it was hard to get a middle temperature of the water in the shower, it was either very hot or too cold. The sink had a stain, but that's because it is old. The fridge was locked, so we could not storage our drinks. Overall, it is good enough for one night stay, but I would think twice if I want to book it for a longer time.

Had a great visit here! Hotel is in a perfect location in the city, though be mindful the Zona Rosa is very lively on the weekends with people having fun. We booked through American Express as this is one of the Hotel Collection partners. We were very comfortable. We had a little hiccup with our reservation at the beginning and Mayela from the front desk did an amazing job helping us resolve it immediately. We felt very taken care of by her and the front desk team, and we will for sure be coming back. The decor in the rooms was modern and comfortable. For the rate we paid, compared to other options at this star level, we though it was great for the room and service. And the cafe is lovely, tasty, and quick for breakfast. Try the green juice!

Ana American Express , recommended this hotel to us, and took care of making the reservation, we arrived on Sunday 12, according to American Express we would have an upgrade room. The person to the from b desk, who attended us upon arrival, after waiting several minutes, not the nicest and profesional person you expect to take care of you. We had an upgrade to a Junior Suite which she did not give us. My wife is a person with disabilities bathroom and shower, do not have the accessories for the and safety of people with disabilities. For two people there was only one set of towels, one of which was dirty, we called several times, and the problem with the towels was not solved as well as other issues .I decided to go down and talk to the manager, which I consider very profesional, she take care all. Thanks to Maria Lazalde. Thanks also to Eric, who made my stay different. The restaurant, which for my concept is a cafeteria, the prices are very high for the type of food as well the breakfast, completely disappointed, better places outside the hotel. Due to the bad experience I had during my stay, I would not uses this Hotel again . I would not recommend it.

Poor service from front desk (30 minute wait to check in, they couldn’t find our reservation.) we stayed on the 16th floor and felt like we’re in the middle of the nightclub - so noisy. The room Is basic and not close to 4 stars. I recommend staying elsewhere.

Great hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Room was more than nice. Booked a premium room and was upgraded to a jr. Suite. Food is good, pricey for Mexico but on par with prices in America and Australia. Good gym, pool and the buffet breakfast is the best selection I've ever seen. Location is fantastic , walkable to many great places to eat , drink and shop. Will be back

The only game in town if you have to overnight at Mexico’s airport on Terminal 2 and your next flight leaves from the same Terminal. Not easy to find - elevators are off the main thoroughfare so ask. The elevators have only two buttons 2 and 6, and they are on 6. After walking into an impressive, spacious and airy lobby, the actual rooms are a let down. Cheap materials, on the threadbare spectrum. Safety deposit box was broken, and a large moth was a full time resident. When I sat down for dinner, on a 3/4 empty restaurant the overworked lone waiter told me it would take half an hour. So I went back to my room and had an energy bar, my own. The only plus was the convenience of the location, taking the elevator down the following morning and boarding my flight within the same Terminal.

The location is noisy, but I have to admit that is very convenient for business trips. The rooms need some maintenance, but they are overall good. The restaurant and room service are ok. However, the thing that makes me not return ever again is the lousy service from the front desk employees. Checking in takes 30 min, and checking out about the same, but the worst is that the staff can't even try to hide how much your existence annoys them. The staff in the restaurant and parking lot is quite nice though.

Great location. The hotel is a bit worn out, both the rooms and the hallways. Staff are super friendly. I requested to change the room as it had a smell in the bathroom and they gave me a nicer one. Nice small warm pool. It is a good value for the price. It is a 3.5 star hotel. Breakfast has good variety. I like the fresh juices plenty of it and that’s a 5 stars for juices. Police cars all over the area. So you feel safe seeing then stationed outside the door.

We spent four nights in one of the suites. The room was ok, the layout was a bit odd. Comfortable bed and a nice view from the 15th floor. Finally a good shower, although the area around the sinks was poorly lit. The reason for the service being rated at 3 stars was the front desk. On check in we immediately noticed that the room only had one stuffed chair. Photos of the suites showed two stuffed chairs and we wanted a comfortable place to be able to sit, which was why we booked the suite. It took three visits to the front desk over the period of four hours to get them to put a 2nd chair in the room. And it didn't happen until my wife stood at the front desk and told them she wasn't leaving until the additional chair was in the room. To be fair, the housekeeping staff working the 15th floor was outstanding. Any time we asked them for something they provided service with a smile. The type of service we expect from a nice hotel. Not the hotel's fault, but we weren't pleased with the location. On the map it looks like an easy walk to the park, but it isn't. It's also an odd neighborhood with some bizarre shops. We wouldn't stay in this part of the city again.

I’ve never complained about a hotel, but this one is definitely worth complaining about. The location itself is terrible, especially if you are wanting to get quality sleep. There are bars/clubs that literally play music up until 4am. The base is so loud that even though I wore Bose earbuds plus played white noise on my phone, it wasn’t enough. And really, how can anyone sleep with a phone playing anything at all. I usually use a white noise machine if I need to, versus using a phone. The noise problem was not the only issue. There are two lights In the room that literally flash on and off, all night long. One of the lights is a sensor, but still, why is it flashing so bright. And the other one, is a light towards the entrance of the room. When I called to let the front desk know about this, he basically told me that I should have said something sooner. Ummm, does this make a difference? This should be a non-issue. I shouldn’t even have to complain about anything. When the maintenance guy came, he basically didn’t believe me and said it was the other sensor and left. And right when he left the light started flashing on and off again! So I took video and when he returned, he was finally able to see for himself. He ended up taking the broken light bulb with him. On top of that, there were missing towels when I arrived. There was literally only one towel. I had to call the front desk twice and then ended up going to the front desk to ask in person. Plus, the floors were dirty. I had to wash my feet after a little while because the bottom of my feet were dark from dirt. I ended up having to wear sandals the entire time. Wondering if they even clean the floor at all? My expectation was that the room would be clean, including the floor. Also, my friend found a hair within her sheets from her bed. If you want to party all night, and don’t mind a grungy room, this might be perfect. But if you want a clean and quiet hotel for a good quality sleep, best to stay somewhere else. UPDATE: I was able to speak with the manager the next morning. I wrote down in detail my concerns and also provided video/pics. Thankfully, he listened and validated all my concerns. He moved us to another room… far away from all the noise level. The view wasn’t as great but the quality sleep completely made up for it. I’ve modified my review based on his support. The day staff seems to be a lot more helpful and attentive compared to night staff.

This hotel has really nice floor to ceiling windows, which offer excellent views. Overall, I thought this was pretty cost effective, and in a decent location. The location itself is safe and filled with tree-lined streets. Very close to many cultural sites and museums.

It is a nice hotel, the breakfast is good and the rooms have a fascinating view of the whole city, I stayed in a Jr suite and I asked for help to the guest relation rodrigo to help me decorate the room with flowers, wine and others, and OMG we were delighted by his work, his kindness and his attention, we felt very comfortable with how he help us and the recommendations he gave us, we returned home with a friend in this hotel!

The hotel was comfortable. The first night we asked for help with the air conditioning but they never showed up to the room. We were freezing and the blankets were super thin. This hotel is not the one for the person looking for tranquility. But it's ideal for people who like to party hard. It's is in the best zone of Mexico city.

Nice hotel, well appointed. The pool is pretty cool, though under renovation as of December 2023. Small shortcomings would be extremely repetitive breakfast spread (for 10 days straight), and a very small room service menu at night.

Would not recommend to stay here. We booked three nights in here and won’t return probably. The hotel is not worth the 5 stars. We stayed at 3 star hotels which were definitely better. Everything is a bit run down, the rooms are not really clean especially for 5 Star standards. We had to inform the front desk to get housekeeping the first day. The only good aspect was that the hotel has a pool (which is also not that good) but you can relax there some hours. Also it’s a bit noisy at night.

This hotel was the best! As soon as we arrived, we were greeted and welcome to the hotel. Made us feel welcomed. We also went to the restaurant and Geovanni was amazing! He was very personable and drinks were great. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

The hotel isn't bad as a whole, but there's a number of details that bring the rating down. There is constant noise outside at night (even loud on floor 15), the walls are paper thin, bed is not very comfortable, and the restaurant is average at best. However, the staff is nice, seems clean, close to many iconic tourist locations, and typically a fairly inexpensive option. You could certainly do worse, but obviously be better which is why 4-stars (average).

Stayed 2 weeks on business trip. Convenient location, big rooms and great service by all staff. However, the area is very noisy. Karaoke, parties and noise that will not let you rest until 12 or 1 am every day even on weekdays. Breakfast is ok, even though there is variety nothing stands out, in my opinion coffee is really bad, pastries not good at all, and for morning mexican antojitos you are better off outside the hotel. Room was kept clean but bathrooms are weird glass walls/doors (no proper isolation) and sub par ventilation, I also found in most mornings many fruit flies in the bathroom, I guess the come through the sink sewage. I might not return unless its a short stay if in need of this location.

Stayed here in January 2020 and it seemes as if the quality has dropped a bit since. The hotel is being renovated now (November 2021). When we mentioned we had been woken up by loud voices and construction noises, the answer was "Well we can't stop the construction." The pool, gym and breakfast are all well taken care of and the absolute highlight of the hotel is cocktailbar Handshake.

We had a fantastic stay. We booked through Amex and received an upgrade upon arrival to a suite. The room was extremely comfortable, spacious and nice. The view was great. The service overall was exceptional. The bartenders down at the hotel bar are amazing. I will stay again for sure. The only issue is the noise coming from the bars below, but to be honest this is not something that bothers me. The hotel is in a great location if you want to partake in the activities below.

It was my first time at Mexico City, this hotel was amazing! excellent customer service, every single detail was taken care of, my husband and I went with our new DOG and he was very well treated. The hotel food was amazing especially the breakfast. The location is very central from the areas you can walk and find nice restaurants. Jesus the man that greeted us at the door and took our luggage to our room, was more than amazing he helped us arrange a trip to ride BALLOON (it’s a total must what a magical experience) with the hotel driver called Porfirio who guided us to different locations and explained all the history from Mexico’s ancestors and culture! he even took us the next day to the airport. We will definitely come back and look for Jesus and Porfirio!

Rooms are pleasant enough, fairly standard for class of hotel. Service was distinctly below average, was told when I checked in at 3pm my room was not ready, then at checkout they tried to get me to sign credit card slip before I had even had a chance to review my bill. Hotel restaurant so sanitized that you might as well be in US, barely one actual Mexican dish on the menu and at diner I think I was one of three people in the restaurant!

Hotel NH was very easy to get to from the airport (about 30 min drive by Uber) and it was a very clean and well kept hotel in a good area of Mexico City. My room was clean and the breakfast buffet and room service food was decent. The staff of the hotel are very friendly and helpful! I especially had a great experience with Eric who helped me bring my bags up to my room and gave me some amazing recommendations for local restaurants! I was actually upgraded from my original room to a suite overlooking the pool and a nightclub next door. Unfortunately, the nightclub proved a little difficult to deal with and I ended up having 2 sleepless nights before requesting to change rooms. I went from 804 to 1504 and while I could still hear the nightclub on my new floor, the earplugs provided by the hotel were actually able to block out the sound. I appreciate the front desk staff for their speedy change of my room and for Eric of being such a big help not only with my room change but his knowledge of the surrounding area. Thank you Hotel NH Collection for the great experience! Definitely will come back in the future!

The hotel put me on a low floor even though I reserved a luxury suite with balcony months out. Then told me they didn't have a better room when I arrived, the key they gave me at check-in didn't work, so I had to go back down. I was thirsty and asked for water and they told me there was a two-bottle limit per day—I booked a luxury suite with a balcony for goodness sakes, I can't get water?! There was dust on the floors; the fridge wasn't working (I asked for a new one and they came and plugged it in...it still didn't work...then they replaced it with a fridge that would best be considered a cooler); the wall card slot to activate the electricity would not hold the key properly so the power in the room would sometimes go out; a ceiling panel was displaced upon arrival. Overall its a nice hotel that's not living up to its potential. I wouldn't rule out staying here again, but it would depend on what else is available.

I left a few things in the security box. When I noticed it, I went to the hotel to recover my stuff. All the items were there; however, when I asked why they did not call me, I was told that NH does not have a policy to inform clients about their missing things. I want to share this as a better hotel may be more helpful in these situations. Not planning to come back

Great location, short walking distance from key tourist areas of Condesa, Reforma. Rooms are correct, and so is breakfast. Staff is very friendly, although they seem a bit disorganized at times. The gym has an odd selection of workout machines and a few weights, and the swimming pool is very nice. Pro tip: quite nice margaritas by the pool!

I had one of the best experience. The people were very friendly, kind and ready to help. The hotel is very clean and they have been very careful with the covid restrictions. Also Senior Jesus is responsible for arranging the day trips. He was AMAZING. He remembers every clients requests. Cant recommend him enough if you are looking for day trips. He will give you all the information you need and also he is very kind and helpful. Finally, I had a massage from Anna. She's a amazing as well and I think she is physiotherapist. Big thanks to all your team. Well done

Great hotel! Loved how clean and safe the hotel was and how attentive the staff were. Loved that they helped arrange transportation from the airport to the hotel.

Amazing experience in Mexico - City. Very competent and friendly staff. Modern room, a pool, a pizzeria and an inspiring menu. Great crew in the breakfast hall (yummy) and in the bar. Good infrastructure for meetings and trainings, equipment up to date . The front desk Reception is very helpful. Thank you Oscar, Aaron, Antonio and more helpful souls. I will definitely come back and give 5* recommendation.

Had a terrible experience in this one star hotel. 1- The AC wasn't working and we moved to two other rooms and still the same. The AC vent is only at the entrance of the room, therefore the thermostat will recognize the weather but only at the entrance of the room. The rest of the room is very hot and no one can do a thing about. The humidity was suffocating us. 2-The second room they placed us, was facing the street clubs, and it was not possible to sleep. Also, the music from outside was so loud that we could listen to the music inside of the room. 3- The mini fridge in the first room wasn't working, and all my daughter's milk products got damaged. 4- People working there seems to be aware of all these problems, but they can't do anything about it. This is not a hotel to spend more than one night. Try another hotel if you are staying for more than a night. 5- Infrastructure looks abandoned, walls are cracked, and the bathroom door makes a lot of noise when trying to close it. Our balcony couldn't be locked. Overall, this hotel is not even 2 stars. The only good part is the location. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend to anyone to visit them, because you will end up frustrated.
