Rooms design is outstanding, great size, decor and view. Service was OK, location is great if your are doing business in the south side of town, but there are better areas to stay in if you are looking for night life of more variety of restaurants (ex. Santa Fe, Polanco, Coyoacán). Still I highly recommend this hotel!

This is more like a 3-star hotel. The staff at the reception messed up with the invoicing and one night someone managed to open my room, not sure if by accident or not. Not worth it for the daily rate, and honestly I can’t recommend it to anyone.

A hard review to write. The hotel is amazingly well designed. Generous and well furnished rooms. But they are short on many basics. I paid about 130.00 dollars the night and they could not afford to leave us coffee and tea every day. We had to chase the personnel to get extra toilet paper, the kitchenette which was very nicely set had few of the basics to make anything. With so little this would have been such a great stay. It's a pity.

I do not even know where to start about the PERFECTION of the stay I experienced with this hotel. From the minute I entered, I saw how incredible my trip to Mexico City would be. This hotel is located in an upscale, clean area of the city. Most importantly, it’s safe. Everyone—from the security to the front desk staff—went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. The professionalism and kindness shown from the staff was what made me realize that I would be a customer for life. My boyfriend wanted to propose to me and coordinated with hotel staff and management to have everything set before I checked in that day. Thank you for making my stay INCREDIBLE!

Fantastic hotel to stay in, especially if you're looking for extra room with kitchenette. Loved the space and location. Perfect for walking to San Angel, parks, or a 8min Uber ride to Coyoacan.

Don't stay here, everything is an extra charge. I spoke with Fatima about an early check in she never mentioned the extra charge, until we were there! After a 12 hour flight it's not something we were prepared to deal with. Tried to phone Fatima twice, she just leaves me on hold then hangs up! Awful customer service!

My room is 1012. The upstairs was noisy all night, and there was also the sound of various equipment running, especially the sound of pulling plates, and the sound of crushers at 1 am. This is the worst hotel I've stayed in in Mexico.

Great hotel at reasonable price and superb location - which of course depends where you are headed. Stayed there for three nights as a tourist and to visit family in Pedregal. Great access to San Angel and Coyoacán. Wide choice of shops, bars, and restaurants around. Would come back any time.

Absolutely HORRIBLE! They have a mini kitchen, but no small refrigerator to keep food cold. The Mini Bar Fridge in my room is useless. Would not even cool things. After numerous requests for assistance, I was told by the Guest Quality Manager that my request was refused by the General Manager. I explained that I am Diabetic and need to be VERY cautious with my food and for medicine. But they don't care. No help. Their response was that I could put what I needed on ice, or they would put what I needed in their Fridge. I'm supposed to trust them with my life and medication? NO WAY! In all of my experiences traveling the world for work and pleasure, this is the absolute WORST I have ever had. The fact that they care so little for a long term guest (2 months) should alarm any potential guest... Long term or short term. Beyond disappointing.

Excellent customer service. They did a great job of making us feel welcome. Restaurant was good, and priced very well. Overall a good experience for my first time in Mexico City.

Stay was otherwise good but ruined by morning manager Edgar López who was unfriendly and refused to change card room was originally reserved on…..how to ruin an otherwise nice stay. Also strange they don’t provide washcloths!!

Stayed in a master suite. Room was big and comfortable. But, the restroom was not good. Water closet does not have a vent or a window. The cleaning team made no effort to make the restroom smell nice after cleaning it. Also, the rain shower head was not installed properly so it leaked everywhere instead of providing a steady stream. Not even worth using it. Breakfast was not Included.

The location of Krystal Grand Suites is more than ideal. Insurgentes (Sur) is one of the main streets in Mexico City and is one of the best ones in the city: the main shopping malls in the south like Perisur or ARTZ are 15min away by car & traditional town centres like Coyoacan are only 20min walking. Closer amenities like Plaza Inn and great restaurants like SAKS are also walking distance. Insurgentes Sur has been revamped in the last decade, so it is decently modern and quite safe to walk around throughout the day. The hotel successfully manages to fit into this revamped area with a decently modern lobby, good facilities and very welcoming staff!

Perfectly located to your Coyoacan. The suites are spacious, with a kitchen large bathroom, super soft beds and covers, great view. And a great restaurant on site.

Overall this is a great hotel to stay at. Very clean, employees are for friendly. It’s on a very safe area with lots of restaurant and stores in es liking distance. They offer valet parking witch is very convenient. Security employees are always friendly and make you feel secure. I highly recommend this hotel. Their room service seem very pricey. I recommend going outside of the hotel to get better food and lower price.

There's an unkind security guard/doorman, very unfriendly. Also my fridge did not work and one of the workers left the stove on.

Thoroughly enjoyed this hotel and location literally across the street. You can catch the buses that take you into the forma and all of the things to do downtown Mexico City. There are plenty of things to do a block away as far as banks pharmacies restaurants, gas station, so very convenient walk to things and accessible. It does not have a pool so if you’re looking for a pool, this is not your spot however, everything else is great. They have a Starbucks in the lobby and the staff is very accommodating. They have valet parking and we ordered Uber eats, which got there surprisingly fast within five minutes we had our food. Lots of options to choose from and the view. If you get higher up in the tower is very nice of the city.

The images on the Expedia site were taken some time ago as the room we were given was in need of refreshing. Finger marks on the doors and wardrobe, paint splashes in the floor and stains on the wall. The windows had hand prints from a small child no one had cleaned them off. Then we were given another room as there was no hot water. This room was much better but still no hot water after 15 hours. Reception staff not at all helpful and assuming we cannot be the only ones without hot water no information given to us. We are still in the hotel and waiting for hot water. After a day at the pyramids we are filthy and dusty and need a shower. Sadly I would not recommend this hotel.

This was a lovely hotel with a very kind and friendly staff who did everything they could to make it stay worthwhile and special, from solving problems with the room to a special consultation with the restaurant's chef about a stomach friendly meal when my partner for sick and couldn't leave our room. There were problems, but none that were deal breakers for me. It initial room had a broken door for the balcony and the shower fixture was broken as well. The front desk immediately offered to upgrade us to a new suite and I was quite happy with the way it was handled. The new suite had some issues as well but nothing that was more than a mild annoyance, like the towel hook in the bath was not securely fastened to the wall. The front desk staff were polite and the quality manager checked in with me whenever she saw me in the lobby. It felt as if the staff really cared about the quality of our stay. The hotel is a bit far from the city center, but you can walk to San Angel and Coyoacán from it without much effort. There are lovely little restaurants in the area and the metro bus has a station directly across from the hotel entrance. An Uber to the city center was always under MXN$300 and often under MXN$200. Room service was prompt and polite. The food was good, for hotel food. The housekeeping staff was diligent and I always came home to a clean and made up room each evening. If I were to lodge one serious complaint it would be that the hallway noise could be easily heard through the door.

Well located on the south of the city, this property offers plenty of dining options within walking distance. They have valet parking - although you pay for it, it’s worth the convenience. We were given a VIP upgrade to a Penthouse corner suite, with a phenomenal view of the sunrise over the volcanoes and the city. The suites are modern and well appointed, with everything you need and more. Everyone we interacted with, was friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay and definitely will be back in our next trip to the city. We would recommend this property to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

I stayed at Krystal for around two months during a short assignment at work, in Mexico City, and simply loved it. A high standard hotel, amazing accommodation, such an excellent service, great food.Everything perfect!

Great service apartment style hotel with modern furnishing and good English-speaking service. Location is not central (and traffic into Roma/Condesa can get really bad). We stayed at a Junior Suite, which is a studio-style room with a work desk, small living room table, kitchenette, and a standing shower. The hotel feels clean and new, and front desk is friendly and helpful. Pros: fairly spacious room, comfortable bed (not too hard or soft), nice view of the city, equipped with basic amenities you may need, safe area, good restaurant options nearby, blackout curtains Cons: minor traffic noise (but did not affect sleep), breakfast (room service) was subpar, shower head does not always have consistent "spray" or pressure, water from shower may leak into the rest of the bathroom if the door isn't closed properly Overall a good choice if you do not need to drive into the city every day.

Absolutely amazing everything is perfect here from room service to the really nice bar and really nice restaurant. Everyone at the front desk is very nice, I highly recommend this place and this is my spot to stay from now on when I come to Mexico City

Rooms are enormous, modern, and elegant. They come with a basic kitchenette including pots and pans. Room service is quite good. Try the Sopa Azteca.

Really good sized business hotel with a great setup: great desk, huge bed and useful kitchenette. The location is convenient and feels safe, relatively close to the airport by Uber and to subway and overground. Greeted with a smile every time. Really professional, and the cleaning professionals are great. Missing one star as I didn't have a coffee machine and the kitchen utilities were very little. WiFi was stable, but limited to 5Mbps with a browser login. 15 min walk to Walmart and within range of a great variety of delivery restaurants. The restaurant (room service) food is also good.

Beautiful hotel and wonderful service , though check in was slow and room service had some hiccups which they made up for by offering free breakfast but overall a very nice hotel to stay at and Juan Carlos at the cafeteria was wonderful. Truly 5 star experience . I highly recommend.

Great place and safe, you need your key to access the elevator. Staff is excellent and very attentive.

Visually the place was as expected but, when I arrived the room wasn’t clean and ready had to wait a hour and half even though I arrived past check in time. They tried to downgrade my room just because it was dirty. The room reeked of sewage and gave me headaches. The smell never went away. The restaurant attached is not with it. They charged a special tax on drinks. 600+ for two shots basic mezcal. I don’t recommend, stay in Roma than this place.

I drove 3 hrs to get to this hotel waiting to see the service. We made a mistake on the date and came day before because we travel the next day. First they said no room and then yes there is a room 5000 pesos more money that what i book. When the see american peoplr they hike their prices be careful. They sell to other for 1200 but when they see u not from there the charge more. Will never return to this hotel.

This place was absolutely beautiful and very accommodating. Great stay, the staff was helpful and was willing to do anything we asked to make our stay memorable. There was a mild language barrier, but overall it was wonderful.

So many problems with our room. The air conditioner did not work even after they came to fix it so the room was uncomfortable hot , toilet wouldn’t flush you have to jiggle the chain inside of it then the water would run all day and night making a loud sound, I confirmed my covid test for return flight home with the front desk TWICE then they last minute rescheduled it causing us to miss our tour to the temples, the handle in the shower fell off and the water in the shower was inconsistent it would go from scalding hot to ice cold then hot again, the door needed to be slammed just to close it. House keeping only cleaned the room once during our four night stay. I’ve traveled to over 20 countries and never have I stayed somewhere and none of the staff spoke English, it was impossible to communicate .This hotel looked nice but was raggedy and broke down. I don’t recommend staying here it’s overpriced for the low quality experience we had.

Room neat and clean, well equipped, everything in perfect conditions, cozy and comfortable modernist deco, great service from personnel, all for an acceptable price, nice restaurants and corner stores around the area.

  • 2/5 C O. 2 years ago on Google
The room looks exactly like the pictures online and was spacious which was nice. However, my experience here could have been better. The room was not ready when I arrived due to being short staffed. We were told that it would be ready in fifteen minutes. We left and came back a half hour later and it still wasn’t ready. The room smelled like sewage despite management “fixing” the issue and cleaning the drain in the shower. We had to keep candles lit to mask the smell. In addition to this, we had to request towels several times during our stay, the internet was spotty and unreliable, and the shower water temperature was inconsistent. The water would go from unbearably hot to cold to back to unbearably hot again. Location wise, the hotel was about 30 mins away from Roma/Condesa/Historic Center and about 15 mins away from Coyoacan. The bar/restaurant upstairs is overpriced and not worth the cost at all. We paid 3x the amount (580 pesos) it should have cost for two shots of mezcal. Overall, I believe Krystal Insurgentes has the potential to be better but I would not recommend staying here while visiting Mexico City.

This is a nice hotel near San Angel/ Coyocan area. Big & centralized AC rooms. Clean & super hygiene. I stayed there for ~2 months. Good service with gym. Little expensive but its on the main road and easy to reach. I would recommend this hotel for stay. Good vibes

  • 5/5 Everardo O. 2 years ago on Google
The location was perfect for what we used it, also near the city. The service was amazing, all the staff were at all times helpful. The rooms are nice and modern although they do need some deep cleaning and maintenance.

  • 5/5 Chris J. 1 year ago on Google
Very nice rooms. Very nice area. There is way more room for improvement with The front desk staff. :( After a 20 hours trip to Mexico, you expect more solutions Than problems from them.

  • 4/5 Raghav Govind J. 2 years ago on Google
I stayed here for five nights and enjoyed my stay. The staff are very friendly, and they can speak a bit of English (much better than the general average of the city!). They have nice grilled chicken, which I tried for about 200 pesos. They also have Starbucks coffee in the lobby, though I recommend you walk 1 minute to Plaza Inn for a coffee (many nice cafés inside). However, the biggest plus of the hotel is that it is right next to MetroBus Line 1. You should use it to avoid Mexico City traffic. The nearest subway to the hotel is about 15-18 minutes of walk away.
