Very nice hotel. It's location is excellent and the rooms are cozy, the curtains really darkened the room. It had everything I needed. It's only problem is the protests that pass by almost every day.

PROS--Hotel was clean and centrally located. We only stayed one night so didn't have a chance to venture much. Staff was very friendly, and hotel view from the 21st floor incredible:). Breakfast was tasty and a Starbucks in the hotel an added bonus:) CONS- My reservation included a small bottle of wine, and I literally had to ask 3 times within a four hour span for the wine. Don't put promotions if you intend to not truly honor it. Wifi was only working on our phones (2) and not laptop.Smart TV was a headache, after trying different avenues and finally getting into Netflix via the Internet movies did not play. But all in all I would absolutely stay again and recommend! :)

This hotel is in a great location and the staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms for value is really good. I would recommend this hotel. You can walk around and it's safe. There is an OXXO across the street and behind the hotel for those crazy nights that require water and Tums.

This hotel is visibly older now, however it was generally clean. And given its location, price and friendly service from all staff that I interacted with, it made for an overall good stay. The room had all the essentials: tv, iron, safe, hair dryer, desk and chair etc. I had to leave the water running for quite a while to get hot water but once it started, it stayed hot even for extended showers. The on-site restaurants, bar and Starbucks were also amenities that I appreciated.

DO NOT USE THE HOTEL ROOM SAFE. We kept money in the safe with our own code, and $5000 pesos were missing when we came back. The code was also not working, and we had to call to have them open the safe. After we checked our passports and money, we realized the hotel staff had taken about $5000 pesos.

I like to travel and this stay has been at the top of my ratings due to the excellent service, clean rooms, and attentive personnel. The hotel is on the main street, Reforma, where you can join others, on Sunday morning, for a walk, run, or bicycle down the main street. The restaurant at the hotel, Cafe Reforma, offered excellent service and food. If you choose to eat out, there are several restaurants within a walking distance. The hotel has it’s own taxi service. I hire the cab driver to be my tour guide. He was excellent. I recommend this hotel and will stay here on my next trip to Mexico City.

Rooms are clean, and service is EXCELLENT! The breakfast buffet they have daily gives many options on food. I would highly recommend this hotel. I felt safe walking outside. It also had a Starbucks by the lobby.

I’ve stayed here many times and have always had the best of experiences. Truly 5/5 service. Love this place. The breakfast buffet is extremely good too

Very nice location. Peope are very nice, some english spoken. Definitely easy to be understood. Plenty of green space, restaurants and shops nearby. Security people are abundant.

Great place! A little old but elegant, great location, quiet and comfortable, great pillows. Too much scent in the aisles and lobby though...

Super convenient location to visit Mexico City. In addition, the views from the room are pretty. However, the facilities beg for some renovation, and the property lacks some of the comforts you expect from a 5 star hotel (for example, no coffee making facilities in the room).

Even though it is really centered from some of the most tourist places in Mexico City. Barceló Reforma hotel wasn’t perfect in the rooms they changed my room since the restroom was clogged, without it even being used. After that my “new” and “improved” room was literally drowned with water after showering since the water got out of the shower WITH the door closed. Also the price the next day the price of my room went twice and a little bit more of what I had payed the first day.

My personal experience staying at the hotel for four nights: The hotel has a perfect location to reach all of the touristic sites quickly, every day we could see many sites, we could eat, we did not have to be in a rush. The hotel has a great view especially if you get a room on floor 24, the advantage is the view, but the disadvantage is the noise, the city is very loud and the windows really isolate close to nothing of the city noise. Even in night it felt like the washing machine is on but that is not a surprise compared at the size of the city. Something for something I guess. From the 24th floor tou can see all the city in its glory , especially sunday when there is no traffic and no pollution. The service was great, we felt respected. Rooms were clean, we had a small fridge that appareantly you can only open if you want to take out a beverages that you will happily pay. They cleaned every single day, the room was very nice. I recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to spend some days and discover the beautiful and rich in history city of Mexico City!

Spend a little extra money and go for the Hilton down the street. This hotel has a lot of street noise even on the 21st floor due to single pane windows. I could even hear the damn pedestrian light beep all night. It’s a little dated too.

A very nice, clean hotel with fast Internet. Breakfasts are really great (tacos! Apart from standard options).

We stayed at Fiesta Americana Reforma after an Airbnb booking went south. They made check in/out easy, the rooms were clean, room service had great food. It is on a busy street but we didn't hear the noise from the room. My partner took a zoom call from the room one morning and had no internet speed issues.

Although I have stayed here only once, I hope to do so again, Most of my stays are in another part of Mexico City, certainly not this hotel's fault. Although no better than rooms at other good places, my room was clean, quiet, convenient, and accommodating in every way. The superb, unforgettable aspect was in the lobby, where every person was friendly and helpful to a degree I have rarely experienced anywhere else. They would walk across the lobby to say hello and ask if I needed anything. Although steep in price, the breakfast buffet is a permanent, positive memory. Outstanding! I felt pampered at Fiesta Americana Reforma.

5/5 A very comfortable stay with the plus of being in a central location, so you can move either on foot, public transport or on platforms to various points of the historic center, they also offer you the service by private providers at the hotel. The food of the place also tastes very good, the buffet is worth it. And the workers are very friendly, and the beds are very comfortable. Room: 5 Food: 5 Service: 5

The hotel is in a great location. The staff is very kind and helpful. The buffet and afternoon snacks are good too. The rooms are old. The carpet is gross. My makeup mirror was broke. And the double beds are tiny. They are not for two adults. The double beds should be upgraded to queen beds. The regular rooms are too small and the bathroom doors are very narrow.

Don’t stay here if you have the choice. The rooms and bathrooms are very old, the hotel lobby is constantly packed with people and on friday and Saturday nights to bring in the crowds they have a club on the 25th floor which they don’t tell you about. The 23-25 floors are the executive club floors, you’d think meant for executives, who treasure sleep given their busy schedules. You pay more for the rooms but then you get ZERO sleep. Because of the club, you get pounding music even 2 floors down till 4am. When you complain about it they offer to move your room at 1am instead of turning the music down. Why did I pay more for an executive room expecting a quieter experience only to get zero sleep.

I used to stay in this hotel 20 years ago, and I'm pleased to find that the hotel is just as cozy and all the people who work there still maintain the same quality of service.

Very far from a 4* hotel. The bathroom smelt of damp and cigarettes. I asked for it to be cleaned but it continued smelling. The shower was impossible to achieve a normal temperature (it was either piercing hot or freezing cold). Bedding was good quality and comfortable but I noticed stains and cigarette burn holes (and my room was supposedly a Club Executive). Even with windows closed, the noise from outside was extremely loud. The executive lounge was intimate and good, but on the last day I was checking out at 6am and the executive lounge didn't open until 7am, but they wouldn't allow me to have breakfast in the regular restaurant because apparently I had a different room rate (absurd since I'm paying more for the executive club). The box breakfast provided was a measly sandwich, juice and apple. I walked into the regular breakfast buffet at one point and experienced a whopping selection and greater variety of way more types of breakfast foods than was offered in the executive lounge breakfast.

This hotel needs renovation. The room is outdated. There is a stinky smell every night..not sure it is from the sewage or the AC. We always stayed with Fiesta Americana hotels wherever we traveled in Mexico but this hotel is the letdown... location is very good though

Very nice hotel in the heart of the city and close to everything. Very reasonably priced. However, the housekeeping was bad as they did not wash used glasses and cups

Been here for some days in my stay in Mexico city, overall great experience very friendly staff, and great location it helps a lot to move around as Uber are easy to call, also it is located in a very secure place, scenery from the hotel is awesome. The bedrooms for me does not have the best illumination, specially bathrooms, I don't know which year were build the hotel but I can feel it is old, thus requires some maintenance.

Smack-dab in the middle of Mexico City's financial district, this hotel offers excellent services and is within walking distance of the breath-taking Historical Centro and many other turist attractions.

Hotel service was great, good costumer service. Very clean. But the hotels taxi driver wasn't using his mask, that was abit a uncomfortable. I would recommend.

The hotel is not worth the price. Maybe it was trendy 50 years ago, but the rooms are old now. The bathroom has never been remodeled and looks like highway motels. The only positive aspect is the position.

When we arrived to the hotel the receptionist gave us 2 “free voucher” to get “any drink” at the restaurant La Distral. But when we went to the place and ordered 2 drinks they charged us $600 for a tequila shot and $300 for a shot of mezcal. They only offered for free a mojito drink, full of sugar.

Friendly, courteous staff. Clean rooms, great accommodations and centrally located within nearby convenience stores, a great variety of restaurants and landmarks. On a previous visit I tried their restaurant and enjoyed a delicious and very well-prepared breakfast. Very reasonable rates.

Very good ambience, good view from room if it's on the higher floors. All the staff including the front desk, room service and other staffs are superb. You will experience good hospitality from all. There was welcome freash fruit plate delivered to the room upon arrival, it was decorated nicely. Just opposite to the hotel there are various stored like oxxo etc. wherein you can purchase miscellaneous items...

Very nice hotel with good service and good location. We are a family of two adults and two teens and everything was fine. The buffet breakfast has many options.

I’ll never stay in this hotel ever again! PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Prices are extremely high and customer service is poor, specially at front desk when checking in :( They’re pushing, cold and rude. They just want your money..

  • 1/5 Nicholas H. 2 years ago on Google
Avaricious, base, crude. Pushy and jump all over you trying to get more money off you. Were handed two vouchers for a free drink - "any" drink, but got walloped $500 for a tequila shot and $300 for a mezcal. Given a weak, sweet mojito as a the free drink that we didn't want or enjoy. Staff took coffee capsules from the room and told us we would be charged for replacements. The entire hotel needs a lesson on how to run a hospitality business.

I had my family stay at Fiesta Americana Reforma because our Airbnb went sour. The staff was attentive. The kiddos enjoyed the attention and the meals were pleasing and filling. Clean rooms and very appreciative staff. Booking this stay was definitely worth every penny.

I just want to recommend 100% this beautiful hotel, besides their facilities, their staff is amazing, I had a little issue with my room's thermostat and then Paola Maldonado (Customer Service Manager) and Yael Lopez (Front Desk Supervisor) gave me the best possible service taking care and resolve this topic very fast, they are amazing people, always with a smile in their faces, Congratulations to Fiesta Americana for having them as part of their team!!! I stayed 3 nights and when I went to the front desk for my check out, they approached me to thank for my stay so my family and I were very satisfied with everything, the rooms, the beds and the hotel flavoring is amazing and its in all facilities!!!!
