View is nice......if you only want positive reviews stop here.........ok.....here we go: Food is a shame and an insult for the price. I bought a "torta" for $150 pesos (a good one in México City would cost $50-$70 pesos) this shame-on-a-bun was dryer than rock in the desert and shared a few other charectistics with said rock. If you're obsessed with heights and views, and happened to burn your entire mouth in a tragic accident, I can definitely reccomend this place( and sorry about your mouth). But if you happen to have working tongue, still drop by for the view, and get some tacos the way home. I'd even reccomend an Oxxo as a supirior alternative.

My wife and I stayed one night here on a tour package from Mexico City to Acapulco. The shuttle ride from the main road up the steep winding narrow road to the hotel was exciting. Totally enjoyed that with views of the entire city below. The views from the dinning patio and pool at night were even better! Food and services were excellent. I tried an authentic fried iguana meat. Delicious! Tasted like chicken. The lentil soup was the best I ever had anywhere else. Highly recommend.

Before explaining my low rating, I have to say the hotel is very nice, beautiful place with a beautiful day and night view of town. Many of the waiters were kind and attentive. Impressive place. Food was good (though I got sick with it) Now the low rating reason: Service is generally good, but we went through a very bad service experience from one of the waiters who felt entitled enought to treat one of the hotel's guests (my wife) as if they were stealing food just for taking a piece of bakery into a napkin to the room. It is unconceivable how poorly trained this waiter was in servicing guests.

The room is pretty old, there wasnt hot water in our room. We came with a baby and infant, nobody told us nothing - they where launching fireworks 20 meters from our room at midnight. The stuff was kind, and the view is beautiful , but im not sure it worth the money

Amazing views. Great service. There isn't internet service in the rooms. So you can rest.

Excellent service! Hotel is very well staffed, views are AMAZING. Rooms were VERY clean, as well as bed and bathroom linens. Hotel feels very secure. Limited wifi range is a bummer, but you won't miss it in your room. Tv's are a nice size.

Pros: Panoramic Views and Valet staff Cons: hotel stuck in the 70s, exactly as shown on chanfle II(Mx film classic). Coffee machine not working, ac not working properly, and just overall not worth the price. Front desk were super cold, and unwelcoming. Also don’t use google maps it will take you the wrong way to the back entrance.

Pros: Great view, awesome food in the main restaurant, cool pool. Cons: horrible internet connection, far from city center, alternate restaurant is expensive and not great. MAKE SURE TO TAKE A TAXI TO THE CITY CENTER AND NOT THE CABLEWAY, is expensive and you have to take a taxi anyway

Fantastic views, great service, tasty food. Road getting up here was awful so if you drive be prepared. Good thing is that taxi service is reasonably priced.

I want to say the highlight of this trip was definitely the amazing message at the spa. I worked in the spa industry in NYC and was very impressed. Definitely book while you are there.

Food: NA/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Parking: 4/5 Family friendly: 5/5 Stroller friendly: 5/5 Montetaxco Hotel and Resort is located on top of a mountain overlooking the city of Taxco, Guerrero, México. I feel it has the best view of the city below while right across from the Teleférico. However, getting up to the hotel is no easy feat. It's a strenuous uphill climb for cars and the roads are cobblestone with just enough room for 2 small cars. Once up at the hotel, walk through the lobby and down to the pool to get a view of the City Taxco. The city is built similar to that of Cusco, Peru. Houses and buildings are built into the mountainside and all the roads are cobblestone. The hotel has two pools; one for adults with the depth of 6-7 ft and kiddos about 2 feet deep. It was windy day so the pool had some debris, but there was a pool person cleaning. Another cool thing about the was the glass elevator tp get a view of the city as well. Hotel Montetaxco also has a huge restaurant, poolside bar and upstairs bar. Although we didn't have a chance to partake in the festivities ( there was live music here on a Wednesday night dinner time). I can attest the service is excellent. On Friday morning I went down to breakfast to get a slice of chocolate cake for my mother in laws birthday and they enthusiastically obliged and took the time to write "Feliz cumpleanos!". The rooms we had were average i would say. We had two beds ( full size), good water pressure and most importantly the Air conditioner worked! A sliding backdoor led into the hotel grounds which was great to hang out outside at night. Overall, I would return here. If you're in the area gotta stay here at least one night.
