I went to Mambicafe Insurgentes on Friday night. I arrived early. I was told that they had limited sitting. They had tables where people can order shots or other tables for people had to buy the whole bottle. Only the later were available. I had plans to drink but not a whole bottle so I was not able to get in because I was not buying a bottle. We went to Mama Rumba Roma instead

Dance class was fun. Good teachers and music but service was awful. Never going to return. Took 20 min and fighting with waiters to get a bottle of water. They had a drink promotion which they closer early And then coatcheck tried to double charge to take out an umbrella. Asked for manager - he never came.

Great place to go dance. Live music, show, contest, great dancers and also good drinks

The dancing class is awesome, sadly the mambo cafe is only trying to get money from you... mandatory wardrobe, they require hard formal shoes and a reservation to let you in. Too much old people orientation... Sad....

The best place for salsa and Bacharach lessons! 2 for 1 drinks during the 2 gourmet class (goes by super fast) great music fun crowd, great teachers. No partner needed, show up, learn to dance, meet people , have a cocktail!

Great place to dance and have a great time. I'm assuming that because of the location the drinks are way too expensive. Could have a bigger dance floor, everyone is crammed in the dance floor and you end up dancing in the walkways.

What an amazing vibe! I loved that place. They had also a great salsa group from Colombia, Yambó. The service was excellent Make sure you come before 12 because they won't let you in. We arrived at 1130 and it already had many people. Totally worth it.

Waiting infront of the door, organisation doesn’t wanna receive customer or earn money🤷‍♂️ all bad comments can be true! What a pity! With good service or customer care, they can earn more/better! But I think boss doesn’t care!...

Promised bachata but didnt put a single bachata in almost 3 hours we were there. A true latin club should play a variety of music but the dj seemed to not care.

Extremely expensive, bad service and poor quality in drinks and food. Good music and show, but not enough to get over the cover, the awful actitudes of every person at service and the different scam methods they have.

Gave 1 star for rude and biased staffs. However, the dance teacher was pretty good. I was told not to take my bag inside as that's the rule. I told them my bag contain only my wallet and my bag ( a small tiny hand bag) will be with my boyfriend who won't be dancing and will take care of the bag, but we were denied and one of the stuffs told us to leave the place. With no choice, I left my tiny bag at the counter for which they charged me additional ( bag counter charge..lol) However, after 10 mins I see some people inside the dance floor with a large hand bag. I mean, seriously.. If thats the rule why exception to some people. Extremely rude rude staffs. Never coming back. This 1 star is only for the rude staffs. Otherwise, 4 stars for the dance lessons.

The music is great! You just have to take care of the extra "service fee" 'cause they try to charge you about +20% even when it's illegal to include this fee on your recipe in CDMX - And the food kinda sucks so you better go get dinner before arriving the place.

👍👍 Don’t let the line outside fool you! Restaurant has a lot of seating, waited only about 15 minutes outside. Sat down and enjoyed a great authentic meal. Everything I tried was so delicious! Enjoyed a little of everything from enfrijoladas ( similar to enchiladas but in beans instead of a red or gree...

👍👍 They're open and busy all day and night so food is always fresh! Many options to choose from when it comes to tacos. I had to try the eyeball taco and the brain 🧠 taco. 👍👍 As a tourist, I first notice the line of locals waiting for a table before looking up the reviews of the restaurant. After reading all the positive reviews we decided to try it out.
