Very cool little museum. The small biographical exhibits were informative, and the house itself is in great shape, and there were so few people there that we felt like we had the whole house to ourselves. If you’re interested in Trotsky at all, this place is a must-see.

A worthwhile visit, we visited on a Saturday morning and it was not too busy. Most the the historical information also had English translation which was helpful. The garden was beautiful and the house very well preserved. We bought tickets upon arrival and could pay cash or card.

The museum was a little bit hidden and didn’t look open. But it was open and everything was really interesting, since you could still see the real old furniture of the time when Trotsky lived in the house as well as many pictures of him. The garden is also really beautiful. In the museum was a cafeteria as well which looked really authentic. Another good thing is that the description were translated to English as well. The only negative point is that you have to pay a little bit in order to be aloud to take pictures.

Nice place. Wouldn't make the trek out to Coyoacán specifically for this but if you're in the area or enjoying the other attractions, it's worth a stop. The garden area is relaxing. Note: all bags larger than a small purse must be stowed with security.

Very cool museum/house. Not sure about the historical accuracy, but a good opportunity to learn a bit about Trotsky's life and communism in Mexico. I thought it was a unique spot because as far as I know, there aren't many communism museums in Mexico City. As other reviews have said, Trotsky's items and furniture are well preserved.

Beautiful museum and a great addition to Frida’s Casa Azul (literally around the corner). It tells you a great story of the Russian Revolution, its momentum in worlds history and Trotsky’s role in it. How he was exiled by Stalin, was taken in by Frida and Diego, and how he ultimately was murdered inside his home. They kept his house and belongings practically untouched so it feels like going back in time.

(Translated by Google) I was three years ago visiting the last house of the Great Revolutionary. I was fortunate that the guide who took us on the tour of the house was her grandson Estaban Volkov, who just that day had gone to visit her with other people and invited us to tour. The only direct relative of Trotsky who is still alive, aged 94. A person as special as his grandfather. I hope to come back soon. Espero volver pronto.

A wonderful museum in Coyoacán that served as the last residence of famed communist Leon Trotsky. The museum is very cheap but very beautiful and extremely informative. Most signage is in both english and español. You will get a fairly clear account of Trotsky’s early life, his expulsion from the Soviet Union, and his eventual residence in CDMX. It is well worth a visit if you’re in the area!

Remarkable experience to walk through Trotsky’s home. A complete tragedy and a huge sacrifice to human kind, that this museum brings to life and makes accessible to the public. The tickets are cheap and the history is incredibly rich and tragic. A must visit if you’re in Mexico City.

Considering the topic and the persona, this could have been so so much better. The exhibit did not tell a clear story, felt very dated and was all over the place. It is great that the artifacts and the house are preserved and presented to the public but needs a major overhaul.

We planned to go visit the Frida Kahlo Museum (Blue House), but apparently we did not plan fast enough in advance, as you need to buy tickets a week ahead of time. We decided to go to the Leon Trotsky House Museum instead, which is only a few blocks away, and were not disappointed. The museum itself is informative, but could work on the presentation of its exhibits. The house is the real highlight, as it is still in the state it was in when Trotsky was assassinated. (He survived the initial attack, but died from his injuries.) The bedroom, with armored doors and window, and Trotsky's study are particularly impressive. We were worried the kids would not enjoy their visit, but they liked the experience very much, also because we told them Trotsky liked animals and you can still see some of the coops and cages. Highly recommended!

Worth a visit and only a short walk from the Frida Kahlo blue house. I had only been vaguely familiar with the name Trotsky, because the universe isn’t kind to failed revolutionaries. Come here to learn a little history and tragedy. There was also a temporary exhibit with a giant rug “Drone Survival Guide” that was very interesting. I spent about an hour and saw all there was to see.

From the outiside it's look horrible...but the wall hide the superbe house of Trosky. Everything is almosr intact It's really a travel in time. If you visit Frida and Diego house, take an extra 10 minutes walks to get there. If i was the museum, I will modernised the exhibition hall. There is a lot of info. I did not know the killer pretend to be a french canadian journalist Love the car in the house...I wonder if they call him Leon ?

The museum is walking distance from Casa Azul. It has a lot of interesting information, well-kept premises with a lot of pictures and facts about Trotsky’s life and death.

I found it a truly thoughtful journey on Trotsky’s life and further influence on world history and even where we are today with the war in Ukraine. My last visit was to the bathroom, which affirmed my own views on Marxism. If the ladrón is found and the pieces recovered, please let me know

Went on a Friday at 4:00pm. Well done museum given the modest narrative to cover, Trotsky's short time in Mexico City at the end of his life. Carefully organized, historically important artifacts, and well maintained facilities. They especially cover the assassination at Stalin's hands story in a clear way with excellent details.

Being very honest, this museum is more interesting than La Casa Azul, the timeline for Rusia, Mexico and the rest of the world is really good. The sad part is that the Leon Trotsky house in the outside walls have a lot of graffiti's

Unexpected and fascinating find! I didn't realize Trotsky lived in Mexico near the end of his life and this intimate museum, which used to be his house, was eye opening! It also had a quiet, beautiful garden, great way to get a serene moment amidst the hustle of CDMX.

A small "museum" that's worth a visit when in Coyoacan. The historical exhibit isn't terribly accurate or up to date but the visit of Trotsky's house, where he was assassinated, and mausoleum in the garden is very moving.

Worthy of a visit just to see the room where the attack happened, and the fortifications Trotsky put in place to protect himself. (Translated by Google) One of the several museums that Coyoacán offers. The house is superbly preserved and the museum work well done. Do not expect information with luxury finishes, for what it represents, modesty is felt in every corner full of history. I highly recommend the timeline located in the main room, it takes a tour of parallel events between Russia, Mexico and in the world environment to locate each step and find threads between common situations. Evidence of someone who fought for changes in his town and a corner, that those who are related to socialism, visit from everywhere. Enjoy it!

This small museum located very close to a speedway and is a source of historical facts for those who'd like a quick but exhaustive reminders on Trotsky Life in a general worldwide context. Efforts have been clearly put to preserve the house and its amenities: great glance into Trotsky "private Life. The garden is well preserved and is the perfect place to enjoy a coffee.
