(Translated by Google) The truth is that I was disappointed, the only thing I saw that was touristy was the church and the craft market. Due to a pandemic, I think, it was not possible to go up to the maguey hill and the truth is, the food places open until 1:00 p.m. onwards. The beauty is only 4 streets around. No more.

(Translated by Google) It is a magical town full of a lot of color, the town is small and you go through it in a short time, the attraction is to go up to the Parish and take photos of its surroundings, the streets are very colorful and you can eat in a restaurant, some snow or just stroll There is not much to do if you go with your family because most restaurants are just for hanging out with friends at night.

(Translated by Google) I went to see the town. Due to a pandemic, they do not allow the church or the kiosk to go up. They have no-go tapes and that he was on an orange light. Very nice place, very quiet. It has places around to eat. The only bad thing is that they don't have banks in the center. The closest BBVA is about 25 minutes away on foot.

You have to understand that this town has changed is under a socialist regime Administration and they have allocated funds elsewhere instead of keeping the magical part of the town so slowly but surely isn't decadence

Nice town centre unfortunately estado de México is currently in red on the pandemic scale hence most of places are closed now including the main tourist attractions as well as volcan Nevado de Toluca. So the town is for sure worth to visit but I recommend to check actual pandemic restrictions otherwise there is not much to do.

Great little center of town! Lots of shops, a tree of life statue, and a church with an amazing view. Many little restaurants and street food.

This village has very good restaurants, vibrant "cantinas," and an extremely fascinating pottery museum. You must go to Metepec if you want to see a real Mexican village. ^_^

(Translated by Google) It is a very nice magical town, they recently remodeled its main square, they added a very nice fountain. On Mondays they close some downtown streets to place a market on wheels, it is highly recommended to buy fruit and vegetables there at a good price and excellent quality. It has other streets that can only find typical handicrafts of the place. There are two churches, that of Calvario, which is on the hill, and the ex-convent of San Juan Bautista, with a huge atrium. They are both cute. On Sundays you will find tamales and many things to eat delicious. At Christmas time they decorate with nativity scenes in the lower part of the Calvario hill. highly recommended (Original) Es un pueblito mágico muy lindo, recién remodelaron su plaza principal, agregaron una fuente muy linda.

It is a colorful town with varied crafts appreciated by locals and national and foreign tourists; recognized for making one of the most representative crafts in Mexico "the tree of life". They promote their art, which is a symbol of the municipality's identity. One of the places that you cannot miss is the majestic "temple of Calvary" located on the Cerro de los Magueyes. At the foot of this is the mural of the tree of life, 200 meters long. You can also visit the church and former convent of San Juan Bautista from the 16th century with a baroque façade; the Plaza Juárez with a kiosk and dancing fountains that light up at dusk; the indigenous mythological figure from Tlanchana, a clay siren that represents the lady of the sweet waters; the "Tree of Life" artisanal exhibition and sale center, among others. A dream town where you can admire and buy its handicrafts made with clay, with warm people and cobbled streets that you will enjoy with a walk on foot accompanied by an exquisite ice cream.
