It's a small coffee bar that is great for takeaway and good for a quick sit in if it's not busy. The seats at the window provide a nice view if you enjoy people watching, and the staff were extremely welcoming and delightful. The coffee was nice and smooth, and the food was rather flavourful. There are plenty of options for vegetarians. However, there aren't many vegan options. The pastries and treats looked incredible, but I have yet to try one myself. It's a little pricey for a small bite in a small establishment, but I know small businesses are struggling with inflation at the moment, so I can not be too harsh about that. Overall, I would definitely recommend popping in for a coffee.

Always busy, which is a testament to how good their food is. Whether you want something for breakfast or nipping in to grab lunch, their selection of homemade sandwiches, bagels, and cakes are amazing. They have a great selection of vegan options as well. Highly recommend, but hurry as they sell out fast at lunchtime.

It may be small, but boy does it pack a punch. The cakes are delicous, and the range was huge, and the staff very friendly. Well worth squeezing in for!

Quite small if you want to get seated but overall great selection of salted and sweet food for breakfast.

This pokey little cafe is the home to a lot of soul and great sausage rolls. The coffee isn't bad either. From the steady stream of people I am not the only person to think so.

Awesome coffee and lots of choices. The staff working provide a great service, they’re friendly and work efficient. Also a great selection of fresh sandwiches and sweets. Well wrapped and perfect for takeaway. Sitting in at the bar on the sides is also possible.

Lovely cakes and drinks. Very small shop which is a pity as so many people use it.

Amazing sandwiches and probably the most imaginative and beautiful cakes and bakes in town! Also excellent coffee. Very small space, best take out at peak times.

If you are looking for a cup of coffee tasted different from the regular. I strongly recommend Riverhill Coffee Bar. Their coffee tastes with fantastic flavor and aroma, which empresses me deeply. The are my favorite coffee shop. I think they are even better than many famous coffee shops in the western US.

Very crowded and tight place. There is no bathroom and barely any sitting area. The drinks are mediocre.

The best coffee to be found in Central Glasgow. An amazing Kiwi barista made us incredible flat whites, the sriracha club sandwich and chorizo and egg bagel were delicious and perfect for a long train trip and the sweets... The billionaire shortbread and raspberry white chocolate tart are out of this world! Highly recommend.

Been a regular visitor to Riverhill for a number of years. The coffee is always served quickly and tastes great. Their sandwich selection includes vegetarian, pescetarian and meat options and they have a wide selection of cakes available. An affordable and reliable coffee shop in the city centre!

Came here for a simple breakfast and coffee. It was perfect. Small interior but there’s seating outside. Delicious looking treats galore.

Hardly any vegan options despite reading reviews that there were many. The photos of menus must be very old since we came for the vegan Scottish breakfast but the only vegan options were overnight oats or a very simple (but tasty) avocado toast. The espresso was not very good.

Wanted a quickly cooked breakfast before heading out of Glasgow. Ended up getting just a coffee because the hob was a flat surface grill that cooked everything including eggs, which I am allergic to and mentioned to the staff. The breakfast I saw others have looked lovely though. Just a pity that they don’t cater to allergies. Also, they’ve got a small sitting area so your best bet is to take out or suffer getting squeezed between the rush hour queue, and smell of grease on your clothes and hair after you’re done eating.

This little cafe in the heart of Glasgow is a welcome respite from a day of touring. The staff are fast and attentive, and the food is fresh and tasty -- I recommend the veg roast and any of the pastries. The dairy-free carrot cake was especially good -- fluffy and not-too-sweet, and stuffed with great nuts like walnuts and sunflower seeds (I think). Excellent stop while shopping!

What a beautiful cozy Cafe! We have been here several times and every time is really nice. The staff is really friendly and always smiling which is the most important thing to me when it comes to cafes. Great variety of fresh sandwiches and desserts, vegan options available as well. Prices are normal. Definitely need to try it when you are in the city centre!

I've had this place on Too Good To Go twice now so I've tried a various amount of things on the menu, and I'd definitely recommend! The chicken shawarma wrap especially is 100% worth the price, as it's massive and packed full with ingredients.

Designed for ‘take away’ - very small spaces to sit down. Long black coffee was good, however I got a take-away cup although I told them I will have here - even they asked me first so I was expecting to get a mug to drink.

  • 5/5 Christian W. 10 months ago on Google
Five stars already for the coffee alone. Also liked how up-front the server was about the wait for the food, so I wouldn't risk missing my train. In the end it came out a lot quicker with plenty of time to relax and have breakfast.

  • 5/5 Callum J. 11 months ago on Google
Coffee was very tasty & flavourful, so too the bacon roll. Friendly staff. Outside seating a nice option too. Ideal location between Central & Queen Street Station to pass some connection waiting time. Glad I found it!

The best Portuguese tart I've ever had! If there's one thing I'd recommend, it's definitely this. The pastry and bakes selection is out of this world. Only wish there was more savoury choice.

Was up for business in Glasgow and always keen to support independent coffee shops. I had read a review of someone ordering coffees only to receive milk. I thought they must have been exaggerating and anyway I like a milky coffee. This amongst the many glowing reviews. We purchased a latte and cappuccino on our way to the train. I said to my colleague that mine tasted quite milky but I hoped I would taste coffee soon. We sat down in the station and she took a few sips and said the same. We both took the tops off had a stir and indeed there was no coffee, it was white. So really we paid for expensive milk. We didn’t have enough time to go back so had to grab new coffee at the station. Maybe the coffee machine was broken, but disappointing nevertheless.

Cute cafe in downtown Glasgow. My bagel was good, my long black was more what I would call a watery americano but i am generally about the service. Selection of cakes was really tempting.

  • 3/5 Taylor F. 1 year ago on Google
Very average eating experience. Despite all the great reviews, I didn’t feel like this place was any good and we left disappointed. I ate a bacon and egg roll and a coffee. The roll was dry and very plain tasting and the coffee had chocolate bits in it that didn’t melt in so ended up in the last sip of my underwhelming coffee. I wouldn’t visit here again and much preferred other places… we ended up visiting the donut place next door afterwards.

Hadn't been in a while as no longer work in town (previously did really like it), grabbed a couple of coffees recently and was more like hot milk, couldn't taste any coffee. Didn't have anything to eat but food looked nice. Can only judge on coffee, my partner genuinely thought I'd ordered him warm milk as a joke!

  • 2/5 Amanda 1 year ago on Google
Small casual indoor with some dine in seats. There’s a good selection of baked goods. Unfortunately the chocolate croissant I ordered seemed a few days’ old and left an odd taste in my mouth. My partner’s bacon roll had a generous bacon serving but the roll dry and could’ve have done with some butter instead of merely just bacon in a roll.

I would walk past when I visited Glasgow and people were sitting outside with creamy coffee and delicious pastries 💙 So I decided to see what the attraction was all about! Now I know !! You must visit ! Very European, the cakes and pastries are exceptional and lovely friendly staff ☕️🧁🥞

Maybe it's because prices are rising but I expected more from this place. I got an oat cappuccino (btw, pretty small tbh) for 3,7£. It's already too expensive for me considering I come from Spain and a similar coffee with a similar quality costs around 1,7£ but at least I expected something bigger in size. Staff members are very nice and helpful, sometimes when there's a huge queue they barely look at you or they look angry, but understandable. There is not much space inside or outside, so not a recommended place for working. I had it in my list of top coffee shops to try but coffee was okay and nothing truly stood out.

Lovely little coffee shop with a range of food items (I didn't try any, but they looked great!). We sat in to have our drinks and it was very busy, but we managed to get a seat and it was a lovely busy atmosphere. Great little find for our holiday!

Always delicious and the cake selection is one of the best in central Glasgow. It is very small though so sometimes space is at a premium and as they note: they have no bathroom.

  • 3/5 Klaudia M. 4 years ago on Google
Good coffee but the pastries on display are on the counter right where the queue forms - without any glass in front of it. No fresh slow pour.

One of the highlights of my trip to Scotland. Perfectly crafted Lattes with Oat milk. Sadly there was no drip coffee option. We consumed two of their vegan baked goods washed down with a latte and an americano. I don't think you can go wrong here so just come and order 1 of everything! Friendly staff that, even while crowded in a small space, will not make you feel rushed in you caffeine deprived state. I asked more questions than is usually allowed in a caffe, all were answered with a smile and patience...

Solid five stars. Some of the best coffee in Glasgow, food is also great and staff are friendly. Can't really ask for much more. It does get crowded inside so better to take away usually.

Beautifully crafted Bonsoy Lattes for not that much money at all! £3.10 for a large latte ( which is ACTUALLY large ) with quality soy milk is rare! Kind and smiley staff, always ready to help.❣️ Amazing bright window seats, although there is only 3 & the seats are stools. Funky takeaway cups👏🏼 & they offer a discount if you bring a reusable cup in! No bathroom or tables for families / large groups. 😊

Small independent coffee shop in Central Glasgow very near Central railway station with a large window and stellar views of the passing world. It's certainly the smallest coffee shop I've had the pleasure of enjoying but it had a steady stream of customers in the time I was there. The coffee was fine, tasty and refreshing. The service was good. The only problem was the seats, well stools really weren't the most comfortable and the shop was uncomfortably hot.

I used to work closeby and a Riverhill lunch was a fantastic treat. There’s always a great selection of delicious cakes and the savoury selection always has a great range. You could visit every day for weeks and have something different every time - this place definitely punches above its size. The staff are friendly and whilst it’s not the cheapest place, the food is definitely worth it.

This is one of the best little coffee shops in Glasgow and it's nice to skip the big corporate places in favor of this adorable gem. The baristas are fantastic and super friendly. The coffee is top notch and is quite a bit less expensive than most places. The mochas are incredible with a choice of white, milk or dark chocolate. Definitely stop buy.
