(Translated by Google) Cerro Koi, declared a natural heritage in 1993 due to the shape of its stones (octagonal) of which there are only three in the world; in South Africa, Canada and Paraguay. There is no cost to enter and access hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Original) El Cerro Koi, declarado como patrimonio natural en 1993 debido a la forma de sus piedras (octogonales) que solamente existen tres en el mundo; en Sudáfrica, Canadá y en Paraguay. Cerro Koi is one of only 3 hills in the world that have a type of stone, it is an octagonal sandstone type. The other two are found in South Africa and Canada. You can visit this hill every day of the week, it has a guarded entrance, where they register visitors, and close the entrance at 4:00 pm. They have a viewpoint overlooking Lake Ypacarai, at a height of 200 meters above sea level (approximately). The trail is completely signposted and it is easy to walk and climb. It is a tour of approximately 1:30 hours depending on how much you stop at each stop in the place.

A national treasurer close to Asuncion. Great place for a short hike, excellent views, and still free! They are apparently cleaning and clearing the paths as well as posting railings for safety in order to attract more tourists.

A great place for hiking. Ideal for anyone interested in geology. Sturdy shoes are recommended. The Sedula is required at the entrance. Overall, a clear recommendation for a trip.

Definitely worth a visit. Sturdy shoes are an advantage. The tour can be completed in a relaxed manner in an hour. You will find lots of beautiful photo opportunities. Surprisingly, entry is free. In hot weather you may want to consider a hat and a bottle of water.

(Translated by Google) Interestingly enough, the park is small, about an hour should be enough to inspect it. From the top there is a good view of the lake and the surrounding area. From the center of Asuncion you can get on buses with two transfers. From the center, buses 28, 30 to Shopping del Sol and from there any bus with the words Aregua.

It's a pretty cool place to hike/explore. The rocks form small hexagons, which is pretty unique.

View of Fields and City from the terrace. Basalt rock formation, very hard rock and emerged from the rotunda crust. Great trails, very beautiful landscape

45 min circular route through the Cerro Koi nature reserve. Dogs are not allowed there. There are only (I think) 3 places in the world where these rock formations were, one of which is in Paraguay.

Very interesting, good introduction by the ranger from the Ministry of the Environment. The paths are easy to walk on, you have to "climb" a bit to get to the mirador and viewpoint, the explanation sheets could be a little more manageable. A bit difficult to find as a driver as there is only one sign parallel to the road. There is no need to pay an entrance fee

(Translated by Google) When we went they told us that it was very dangerous, both because of the steep and rugged nature, and because of the insecurity. There are no guides, it is very desolate, we went in the afternoon, it is difficult to find the place and once there, we worry about leaving as soon as possible. The locals themselves warned us that we could be mugged, etc. Do not go alone, if you want to know so much try to go in a better group. A place to be forgotten, sadly.
