This is definitely a show stopper when it comes to Oxford and it's probably what most visitors come here for. Stunning buildings and lots of great spots for pictures. This place definitely made me miss my college years! They also have cute gift and coffee shops where you can buy lots of merch.

What a beautiful place, so full of history and amazing tales. And the Home of Education. Loved all the college buildings, the history each of them carries, and the architecture of these buildings were just amazing. There's nothing I need to say about it's Education systems, everyone knows it's one of the best in the world. But just as a tourist, you have to visit the place to see and feel the beauty of this place.

We went from London to Oxford with the train. It was so simple. It was nice to walk around the streets and the main building of the university. Harry Potter vibes all over the place, even in the streets of Oxford. It is definitely worth a day visit!

All the way from where I am now, Nigeria, I hear a lot about this University of Oxford and I can say it rings a great bell over here. I look forward to being here one of the days to further my studies. There are track records of great men who were woven by this great artifact of learning. Not only one of the renowned and oldest Universities in world but the place is beautiful to visit. Awesome structures and a serene atmosphere. It's quite good for a day trip specially if it's sunny. There a beautiful museum nearby so don't miss to visit it.

Oxford's ancient spires hold stories from the ages. The Bodleian Library safeguards centuries of learning, while Radcliffe Camera stands as a testament to intellectual pursuit. Cobblestone pathways echo the dance of minds across time. Oxford: where history and scholarship waltz hand in hand.

What’s taking them so long to review my application? Really enjoyed seeing all the colleges and libraries. Stunning architecture with amazing history. Highly recommend a day trip from London. Only a 90 min train ride from Marylebone station and 2 hr bus ride via Oxford Tube. The walking tour is highly recommended. Our guide was very knowledgeable.

So I took a trip to Oxbridge to see what all the fuss is about the University of Oxford. Lol. Oh the fuss is well placed. I loved the brief tour, my friend who is a student provided. There is so much history and richness and depth and also excellence concentrated in the space. Also, did you know that there is a very strong industrial activity/park quite near the academic area?? Had no idea but I had fun. I took a pic where DJ cuppy took her matriculation pic too!! 🥰

Nice town to visit. Very busy with students coming and going. The student population is about 23k and the whole town is about 60k so the student population is roughly 1/3 of the population. Oxford is known to be a great university to study humanities where Cambridge is known for excelling at the sciences, math and engineering.

The University of Oxford (legally The Chancellor, Masters and Scholars of the University of Oxford) is a collegiate research university in Oxford, Oxfordshire, England. There is evidence of teaching as early as 1096, making it the oldest university in the English-speaking world and the world's second-oldest university in continuous operation. It grew rapidly from 1167 when Henry II banned English students from attending the University of Paris. After disputes between students and Oxford townsfolk in 1209, some academics fled north-east to Cambridge where they established what became the University of Cambridge. The two English ancient universities share many common features and are often jointly called Oxbridge.

The architectures themselves already tell you many stories. As the oldest university in England (over 1000 years history), it has so many things you can explore. Visit the Divinity School if you are a fan of Harry Porter. Climb to the top of St. Mary Church if you want to have a overview of Oxford. Try the handmade ice cream in the lane next to Pembroke College. You can also pick a restaurant on the high street to close your day at Oxford.

The University of Oxford (legally The Chancellor, Masters and Scholars of the University of Oxford) is a collegiate research university in Oxford, Oxfordshire, England. There is evidence of teaching as early as 1096,[2] making it the oldest university in the English-speaking world and the world's second-oldest university in continuous operation.[2][10] It grew rapidly from 1167 when Henry II banned English students from attending the University of Paris.[2] After disputes between students and Oxford townsfolk in 1209, some academics fled north-east to Cambridge where they established what became the University of Cambridge.[11] The two English ancient universities share many common features and are often jointly called Oxbridge. The university is made up of 39 semi-autonomous constituent colleges, six permanent private halls, and a range of academic departments which are organised into four divisions.[12] All the colleges are self-governing institutions within the university, each controlling its own membership and with its own internal structure and activities. All students are members of a college.[13] It does not have a main campus, and its buildings and facilities are scattered throughout the city centre. Undergraduate teaching at Oxford is organised around weekly small-group tutorials at the colleges and halls – a feature unique to the Oxbridge system. These are supported by classes, lectures, seminars, laboratory work and occasionally further tutorials provided by the central university faculties and departments. Postgraduate teaching is provided predominantly centrally. Oxford operates the world's oldest university museum, as well as the largest university press in the world[14] and the largest academic library system nationwide.[15] In the fiscal year ending 31 July 2019, the university had a total income of £2.45 billion, of which £624.8 million was from research grants and contracts.[3] Oxford has educated a wide range of notable alumni, including 28 prime ministers of the United Kingdom and many heads of state and government around the world.[16] As of October 2020, 72 Nobel Prize laureates, 3 Fields Medalists, and 6 Turing Award winners have studied, worked, or held visiting fellowships at the University of Oxford, while its alumni have won 160 Olympic medals.Oxford is the home of numerous scholarships, including the Rhodes Scholarship, one of the oldest international graduate scholarship programmes.

From the outside, the buildings are beautiful, and walking the corridors through the various faculties is very interesting. The construction inside is also ornate, which makes this an almost obligatory visit if you are in the place. (Original) Es un complejo arquitectónico muy interesante de visitar. Great experience! Witnessed the wisdom and a center of excellence. 1. Great for a day trip London. 2. The parking is little crowded but near university there is a Nados, opposite to that we found great parking spot. 3. Except the main Bodleian Library , other libraries are just a building but remember you can witness the history every where in the campus.

One of the world's greatest universities (although I am biased). The University of Oxford is seeded throughout the City of Oxford. Feeling more like a large county town than a major urban centre. The city and University sprawl from the centre on the High Street out to Cowley and Iffley in the west Jericho in the North and towards Abingdon in the South.

The oldest university they say in the English speaking world. Located on Broad street in Oxford about 1.5hrs drive from London. Its made up of 39 colleges which are around the area. The architecture is truly stunning and its no wonder it was used in some scenes in the filming of Harry Potter. Apart from the colleges, you pass by the Radcliffe camera library, the bridge of sighs, and St Mary's to name a few sighta. Look out for the Harry Potter bolt etched on the ground in some places like in front of the Sheldonian Theatre. The souvenir shops sell Oxford Uni jackets, pins caps etc. Overall well worth a visit.

(Translated by Google) According to Encyclopedia Chronicles Oxford University is a university research university in Oxford, Oxfordshire, England. There is teaching evidence as early as 1096, making it the oldest university in the English-speaking world, the second oldest university in continuous operation and one of the most prestigious academic institutions in the world. From the time of the war between England and France in 1167, some British scholars studying at the University of Paris left Paris and settled in Oxford. At the same time, it attracted more scholars to come. By the end of the 12th century, the University of Oxford had become established. After the mid-13th century, the various colleges Established one after another, creating a page of history for Oxford University. It is also the oldest university in the UK, and it is a learning environment for members of the royal family and dukes. Over the past 800 years, Oxford University has been reputed to have created many outstanding people in the world. Physicist Stephen Hawking, entertainer Hugh Glen, Al writer Wilde, etc... We are a group tour with a fixed tour route. There is a distinction between tickets to visit and free visits. The university is not easy to operate, but also to learn from the benefits of economic development. Some colleges are partially opened to purchase tickets to visit. On the one hand, it can increase income and maintain campus facilities on the one hand, and it also allows Oxford fans to see its worship. We visited free-of-charge-Oxford All Saints College, High Street, St Mary's Church, Bodelai Library. Among them, the Bodleian Library has a collection of 5 million books. As long as there are important books issued throughout the UK, Oxford will surely receive one as a gift. Second only to the British Library, it is one of the three largest copyright libraries in the UK and one of the oldest libraries in Europe. The library’s collection of books is strictly managed, only reading, not lending, and even the king cannot make an exception. The Bodleian Library was used to film part of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the Harry Potter movies. The circular Radcliffe Rotunda is the library’s medical and scientific book building. Built in 1749, this beautiful Baroque building has become one of Oxford’s landmarks. I heard that there are some tickets purchased and scheduled time to visit. We can only worship outside the library and buy ice cream from Oxford students’ part-time work to take pictures. The feeling of walking here is different from the feeling of being completed at Cambridge University. Cambridge feels like a modern girl, lively and lovely; Oxford is a gentle and dignified young woman, with charm hidden in elegance. And people's pace is very slow and leisurely. Oxford University is composed of many colleges (College), each college is an independent teaching institution that provides students with guidance on their studies and life. It is also the most difficult school in the world to enter. I think all the smartest people have come here.
