combines the oldest university press in the world with one of the world's leading examining bodies, which provides assessment to over eight million learners globally every year. The university also operates eight cultural and scientific museums, including the Fitzwilliam Museum, as well as a botanic garden. Cambridge's libraries, of which there are over 100, hold a total of around 16 million books, around nine million of which are in Cambridge University Library, a legal deposit library. The university is home to, but independent of, the Cambridge Union – the world's oldest debating society. The university is closely linked to the development of the high-tech business cluster known as 'Silicon Fen', the largest technology cluster in Europe.[17] It is the central member of Cambridge University Health Partners, an academic health science centre based around the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. By endowment size, Cambridge is the wealthiest university in Europe. In the fiscal year ending 31 July 2019, the central university, excluding colleges, had a total income of £2.192 billion, of which £592.4 million was from research grants and contracts. At the end of the same financial year, the central university and colleges together possessed a combined endowment of over £7.1 billion and overall consolidated net assets (excluding 'immaterial' historical assets) of over £12.5 billion. A member of numerous associations and part of the 'golden triangle' of English universities, Cambridge has educated many notable alumni, including eminent mathematicians, scientists, politicians, lawyers, philosophers, writers and actors. As of October 2020, 121 Nobel laureates, 11 Fields Medalists, 7 Turing Award winners, 47 heads of state, and 14 British prime ministers have been affiliated with Cambridge as students, alumni, faculty or research staff. As of 2016, University alumni had won 194 Olympic medals.

An amazing small University Town built around the Cam River that is a must visit. The rich history and heritage filled in each of its buildings, streets and even walls will make one feel at awe! The city is cute and well kept making the visit enjoyable. Was here only for a short while, but I am sure to come back for a longer tour.

The University of Cambridge is a collegiate research university in Cambridge, United Kingdom. Founded in 1209 and granted a royal charter by Henry III in 1231, Cambridge is the second-oldest university in the English-speaking world and the world's third-oldest surviving university. The university grew out of an association of scholars who left the University of Oxford after a dispute with the townspeople. The two English ancient universities share many common features and are often jointly referred to as Oxbridge. Cambridge is ranked among the most prestigious universities in the world.

Great place to visit if in London, only 40 odd minutes by train. The architecture is so impressive, and it would be amazing to study here in one of the world's most renowned universities. I paid to visit King's College, and it was definitely worth it, just the chapel itself is so amazing

I recently visited Cambridge University and was blown away by the stunning architecture and rich history of the campus. The colleges, libraries, and chapels are all incredibly beautiful and well-maintained. The tour guides were knowledgeable and provided a lot of interesting information about the university's history and traditions. I particularly enjoyed visiting King's College Chapel, which is a masterpiece of Gothic architecture. I also had the chance to attend a lecture at one of the colleges and was impressed by the quality of the teaching and research. Overall, I highly recommend a visit to Cambridge University for anyone interested in history, architecture, or higher education. It's definitely a must-see destination.

Amazing place full of history and important figures that have attended this university in my books of history of my lifetime. Founded in 1209 and granted a royal charter by Henry III in 1231, Cambridge is the world's third oldest surviving university and one of its most prestigious, currently ranked second best in the world and the best in Europe. Boasting attendance of 14 British prime ministers, as well as 47 Heads of states and many iconic figures such as including Francis Bacon, Lord Byron, Oliver Cromwell, Charles Darwin, Stephen Hawking, John Maynard Keynes, John Milton, Vladimir Nabokov, Jawaharlal Nehru, Isaac Newton, Bertrand Russell, Manmohan Singh, Alan Turing, Ludwig Wittgenstein to name a few. Cambridge alumni and faculty have won 121 Nobel Prizes, the most of any university in the world. For all the above reasons well worth a visit.

"My experience with the University is since last years and it has been very satisfying as the University is very progressive and growing. I am very happy to see my child evolve, grow and blossom into the person he truly is. The way of nurturing the children through performances and different activities has overwhelmed!

Also, we can find the most popular poem “Saying Good-bye to Cambridge Again”. It is a very romantic history of learning Chinese culture and language.❤️ -– • -– • -– • -– • -– • -– • -– • -– • -– ‭ • -– • -– ? # Cambridge University ?? Came to Cambridge many times but never entered King ’s College ? Because there are so many different school districts in Cambridge to visit, if you go back and forth that day, you will really be in a hurry . After entering the college, on the right is the very famous church of worship. The 15th-century architecture and design are preserved intact, which is worthy of careful appreciation and immersion in history. After the end, follow RiverCam to greet the tourists rowing on the river, and find the poems that Xu Zhimo used to stay here on Kings Bridge. . ? Superb !!!!!!????? The mainstream regarding the school that is the place where strict rules are applied to impart education. Many schools exhibit such an example. But as the world is growing, there are developing new methodologies for teaching. Now schools are evolving are spreading education in a new way.. It is a perfect example of modern and old education as well as of architecture. There are two buildings of my schools. One is old, an example of 20th-century art. And the other is a new well-furnished building. The motley of new and old campuses make my school one of the best schools in my city.

A beautiful campus steeped in history. A handful of small but very interesting museums dot the landscape of this wonderful English city. Grab a coffee or an advanced degree in theoretical physics. Either way, Dr. Hawking would have been proud.

The university is the best for a reason. Everything about the University is quality and would give it a 10/10 overall including all areas such as education, resources, student satisfaction etc. The university is also diverse and does not discriminate unlike a few other high profile University’s.

  • 4/5 Alhadi A. 4 years ago on Google
Of course, it is rich in definition, and we do not need to say that it is only the best British university. Rather, it is considered the best university in the whole world without the slightest hesitation or doubt .. It was founded in the year 1209 AD, and it is not matched by tradition, distinction, and old except the British Oxford University as well .. Cambridge University graduated 65 scientists who won the Nobel Prize, which is the highest number of scientists and researchers who received this award .. If we mention some of the symbols of this university, foremost among them is the distinguished legendary scholar Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin, Stephen Hawking, 50 British Olympic champions, 15 British Prime Ministers, and other countless symbols ..

I toured Cambridge University several years ago and found it quite impressive. Today I see a modern structure built to house the law faculty and I'm extremely disappointed. Architects should have considered the medieval surroundings and design a building that impresses upon the psychology for those who first see it. It should state, "I belong here!" What it says to me is "Where do I fit?" Yes, modern technology and materials should be used to construct the building BUT it must embrace the medieval designs representing Cambridge University wholly. Out of 5, my rating is 2.5.

WOW that was our main reaction when we saw it. Just magnificent architecture. Can you believe that it's actually a school?!? Guess you can only find it here in Cambridge :) We didn't manage to go in due to a lack of time. But seeing from the outside, we know that once you're inside there would be more magical feeling. So definitely a must visit you when you're in Cambridge.
